Does it really matter why I think Zev is town? As I implied earlier, I don't think it's a strong read. I just extrapolated how he would react in this context and it matches up pretty well with what I saw.

 

As to Hallia, yes I've played with her, and those two posts are scummy. Remind me when has a town ever read someone by comparing them to someone else? Never. That's what I thought.

I'll give Zev a pass today but he's not going to get the same pass tomorrow. Hopefully he can get in here and get a feel for the game and provide some input, or I'm going to continue to have trouble reading him. I still don't know how you're even reading him, tbh

 

As for Hally, which posts are you referring to here?

 

It was probably like 4 marks, because I got the basics right. Just didn't do this one part right. And I'm like ffs. I worked so hard. I had to reverse engineer the math from the little I remembered T_T so so so so sucky. I suck.

Sili- town, he's invested and reading other players, present and engaged with the thread. I don't like his read of me nor do I like him giving Zev a pass, but I'm not one to lynch inactives day 1 anyways

Seph- townish. liked his early push to get the thread going but I'm seeing it taper off a bit which is weakening the little bump I gave him. I'm going to need sustained prodding to keep a town read here. I also like how he held up against Clov's questioning, he came off townie in that interaction

Clov- town for now, with some tinfoil. Clov is consistently a hard read for me and I hesitate to let a read lull for too long on him (meaning lol!me in HP game); he's coming off town so far in his conversations with both Sili and Seph, as well as with Liz last night; I guess there's not really anything I can complain about wrt Clov, but he's not going to just slip up either, so it's not like I'm looking for that. Idk what I'm doing anyways lolol

Liz- was pretty conflicted on her during my catch up because I don't think I realized what to expect from her as a player... (@Celeste I still want you to talk to me about her??) but I'm okay giving her a townish lean pending some insight from Penny. Otherwise her tone is fine, if rather baiting imo, and she's aggressive on people giving her reads (uncomfortably so, for me )

Darthe- leaning town, just got good feels so far, he's not feeling slimy yet

 

Hally: totally null, she's on vacation, is rather reactive on thread, but I can see her being frustrated with how things are going so far while she's not able to catch up and say anthing

Zev: totally null, also inactive, being defended by Sili

Thane: null, don't remember any content posts from him, the ones he has posted have had good tone though

 

Calder- nullish, not sure, watching him from arms length, pending ISO

Celeste- ?? didn't like her earliest responses to Liz, she came off a little guilty to me, but I'm biased knowing that she tends to put foot in mouth before she levels out; at the same time I don't want want to give her a pass on it all. I would appreciate some answers to my questions earlier in my catchup though

Zander: no read yet, I need to talk to him a little and see his reads first, and understand where he's coming from. So far, not good though

You already know what I think about lynching lurkers, and I think I've made it clear who I'm trusting and not trusting. If the quiet players start posting, I'll evaluate them appropriately. If not...well, things happen.

 

That being said, I think this might be the earliest I've been tinfoiled on by a player that's never seen me place, so that's pretty cool.

3. Oh, if you're asking who I think is not playing and could potentially be mafia for it? I would say Zev is my highest suspect, because he's basically not showed up at all. (posting twice at the start of the Day, with one of those being a seemingly RVS vote is not what I call playing). Hallia is not as high on my suspicion list as she was because her tone when responding sounded exasperated townie enough...but I'm also not willing to give her a town pass for it until I see more or someone else convinces me that this is the town version of lurking Hallia. Thane is also not posting as much as I expected of town!Thane based on observing his play in your last game. Darthe was there, and then he was not. I don't know what I think of Darthe. I know he's posted fairly substantially but I feel like I have no real sense of him.

 

Why Zev over Thane?  What has he done or hasnt done that bothers you more then Thane?

 

 

Meh, I could go after Thane too. But at least I felt like I could read some tone from what Thane has posted and he's not a complete unknown to me because I've seen him play before. And Thane didn't throw down a vote and walk away.

Ahhh dammit. Um can you concisely explain the Calder/Zander thing you have going on? I keep seeing it in spurts but I don't have a reference point to figure out what's going on exactly.

 

Basically I don't understand Zander being so accepting of Calder ignoring my unexplained vote on him (Calder) while being all up in Celeste's grill about her supposedly not questioning me enough about my unexplained scum comment to her. To me Calder's lack of reaction is a bigger deal than Celeste's questioning and then choosing to move on from it. He's given an explanation that I still don't get, but I'm letting it rest...for now. I just think he's applying a double standard since a) he knows that Celeste and I have played together before and therefore have some kind of reference for determining how to go about reading each other (rightly or wrongly) and b) Calder has never played with me before, so really he doesn't have any frame of reference for interpreting my (seemingly) random vote on him and therefore I'd expect some questioning of Calder not questioning it.

You made a read on Penny and she didnt respond to it, she didnt try to figure out where you coming from with it and totally just changed the subject about the previous game.

I'm not going in circles on this again. If you're town, then we wind up going in distracting circles on this to the detriment of more productive conversations. If you're scum then we do the same thing, but I'm basically giving you what you want.

 

I think I've explained in exquisite detail by now my view on the difference between Calder and Celeste. You either accept it or you don't. It's in the thread so you can iso me and find it.

 

If you feel that strongly about Penny then maybe ask some other people who are town-leaning on her based on her reactions.

 

 

My vote is on Calder, and last I checked he was in the lead for the lynch. How do you feel about that? And if not Penny (cause I ain't voting for her today), who would you want to get people to pool their votes behind?

Any flavour of town would be nice, actually. I'm not sure I've seen that. I've seen a whole lot of null. Would you be comfortable with that if you were in my shoes and dealing with a player of your reputed calibre?

Admittedly no. But, tbh I don't want you to be comfortable with me. I like the suspicion.

 

Beyond that I just dont play the same way most others do. I am not a guy that throws out 10 reads knowing they are going to be mostly wrong. I tell you who I want lynched that day and I dont back down. How far I push it is dependent on a number of factors (not the least of which being its viability.

I am a bit confused about this back and forth between you and Zander bc Laine said the same thing as Zander basically (she was pretty eloquent). Yet i dont remember you challenging her. To sum it up she basically said I prob just didnt care about a vote on me and didnt mind it. Kinda feels like that is along the same lines as what Zander was seeing as a difference between me and Celeste.

I thought it would get easier to know what you were getting at. I don't want to make the same mistakes as in Shad's game, though, so I'm hesitant to run away with a read. It would almost help if you were under some pressure, unfortunately. I could have spoken up in Shad's game, I think I just didn't reassess quick enough.

 

 

I think Zander is reading the Celeste/Liz situation differently. @Zander, think about how Lenlo feels when you attack him most every game. Then replace Lenlo with Celeste and you with Liz. That's pretty much how I'm reading this.

 

Zander is strangely under my radar. He's not making big splashes yet, or else they're not going anywhere.

Im reading it the way I am, nobodies seeing what Im seeing but we both know that's not a new thing and that it doesnt mean Im wrong either.  Ive been asking Penny questions looking for answers and shes not giving them to me,  If anything shes being evasive or answering with something else all together.

 

I dont care what Lenlo or Celeste feels, and both times I did it to Lenlo he was wolf...yes I was too for one of them but still.  If someone does something I dont like imma call it out.

 

What besides my frustration in Ghostbusters do yo feel is different from this game?  Are there differences or similarites from Shad's game where you read me incorrectly and mislynched me?

I just provided a reads list above, Celeste is up in the air for me. I need to read more into your exchange with her, that's one part that I ignored a bit to dig into Liz/Celeste. >_>

 

tl;dr majority of hallia's posts are AtE. Sometimes she mixes AtE with making reads. Her reads are insubstantive. One read in particular, on celste, is inconsistent with the notion a villager needs to find a villager because they're acting villagery, not because they're debating with someone you think is scummy.

Thane, I like your reads list last page. You make some good points as well, you can be in my town pile.

I try to nail some wolves, but I'm having some difficulties this game. But, the track record from the past couple of games was alright, so I am quite confident that I'll find some.

 

I too would vote Zev over Thane.

Voting Zev would have 2 endings:

1) wolf is dead: YAY

2) townie dead with basically no additional info.

 

scenario 2 wouldn't lead to a complete new D1, depending on NA's, but still....
