Remaining roles were Hallia - role cop / bodyguard and Calder - watcher

Thane was mafia tracker

That's about it

Town was massively OP'ed.

In what world

Rolecop/Bodyguard (unless you mean BOTH take effect...like, she automatically had to protect whoever she checked)

Doctor

Watcher

1x vig

Tracker

1x BPV that we had to choose who to give to

Massively was definitely an overstatement, but that's certainly a town sided setup.

Not really too many emotions about this game. I came in late, was lazy and ended up wanting to vote Clov but never did.

it would have been interesting if you had and gave a reason.

in retrospect there was probably a reason why i wasn't able to give clov a town percentage XD

Hallia could only choose 1 of role cop / bodyguard action per night

My reason was that Celeste wasn't hammered.

It probably would have made you vote me instead, so I'm not sure we'd have pulled through.

You and everybody else.

Role Cop was tremendously nerfed in this setup because there weren't any "mafia" roles, IE, tracker and a non-role related BPV. It could basically find the vig and the doctor.

The vig was 1x and did not get shot back if it hit the star.

Set-up was fine IMO

hm. i don't know tbh.

the fact you don't have much of a reason to say celeste is town would concern me, and make me think you might be playing a gambit, but the vote on clov isn't inherently wolfy.

personally, it was quite hard for me to find angles to push people. I mean, even if i'd just have been  VT this game, I'd have a hard time finding the baddies here. What I do find amusing is that, in lack of suspects, attention automatically turns to me

Thane, Zander - an absolute pleasure.  You both played very well and I am proud of how both of you handled yourselves - both in terms of ability AND conduct.  Thank you for putting up with me.

If you all want to read the quicktopic, you can . It's mostly me just bragging about how good I am at mafia.

You guys were amazing.

attention went to the players putting in the least effort this game. imo.

well, I don't put a ton of effort into a town game either, especially not during the weekends. But this one was just too exciting to miss out on

I would like to take this time to formally dedicate my performance, and the ZBP award he gave me in Chat, to Lizabeth.  If not for her, I wouldn't have played this game, and somebody else would have taken that final mafia slot.

Obligatory thank you to Cory and Key for being great mods.  Tough calls were made, but I would have done the same thing.

did laine say something bad about someone?

they both said the a-hole word after my post saying i would modkill the next person to ignore the rules and swear despite it being against DM's ToS and therefore something I have to uphold before intervention to the point where the Mafia community is no longer allowed to self-police

nobody seems to care much for the rules in that regard, so it's probably important they start being enforced

I used my 1x lie detection on this.  Came back false.

FWIW I was always told swearing is fine, as long as it's not directed at someone and it's not one of the "bad" words.  Though I would argue the phrase in question probably violates both terms.

You did the right thing.  And I commend you for it.

it was just the way it turned out.

mostly because of me and darthe probably. we couldn't get past how barren some people's posts were.

i'm not even sure if that's wrong, but i know for a fact i rely on thread presence to get reads and when someone is significantly less active, and i can't ignore them, i'll be biased against someone i don't have information on.

Posted

other than laine my reads were okay relative to how i usually do. imo. even though i was wrong about a lot of people in this sort of game i dont think i could have done much about that.

maybe i could have stuck with zander day 1, but his confusion struck me as genuine and left me a little biased in his favor and then everyone cleared him, and then i let myself be swept along.

I didn't follow this game at all, but

[1:22:57 AM] Shad: 2 minute snap ISOs Sooh and Celeste are town
[1:23:00 AM] Shad: book it

Gotta keep my Sooh reading record going.

I'm not trying to point fingers here, but as mafia, I think most of the choices to vote/pressure by town were correct - even if the results were not.  It's impossible for me to say for sure, but I think there's a very reasonable chance I'm pressuring Seph for those some reasons if I rand town this game.  Celeste posts definitely pull me in every which way.

I question the Hallia reads Darthe and Thane throw out 100% of the time.  I don't know that I scumread her, but I don't feel my presentation of her mafia meta possibly hitting was out of the question at all.  I mean, I knew I was lying, but I would definitely had to look at her as "Is she mafia and busy, or just busy?" if I was town.
