Cory you know Dice likes to get bogged down in mechanics and non game related stuff to avoid commenting on game related stuff as which alignment again.....

I see you asked someone what the theory is. Bet I can guess who.

I'm not staying up until 3 AM, so we're gonna hammer before that :P

Poor baby is a deadline awkward for you?  Shall I play you the worlds smallest violin?  Welcome to my mafia life

Dice. I know you are upset about being mischaracterised. Please drop it for now and get into the game. I want to see GOATDice now. Talk to me about what else you see as much as you can.

im trying but I find that post hilarious considering how often i get up at 3 4 or 5 am for deadlines even on the first day of my weekend.

So let's talk about Verbal. I spent a good portion of my pre-sleep routine thinking about Verbal* to see if I could have a prophetic dream about his alignment. I did not, alas, but the thinking was enough.

So he came in, made some relatively salient and pointed observations on stuff in the the thread, and left. As someone multi-

tabling I can't really blame him, but there was one thing on ISO that made me pause and the more I think about the more I'd wager it makes him a wolf.

Verbal's wolf game is all about making good observations. He reads the thread (to some extent), finds nifty things to say, but never really gets involved. Think of how Shad was playing in World's End.

Specifically as a villager I think he goes out of his way to do things in order to get reads on other people; he's never content with the thread or the game-state and he doesn't go "well, this is what I've got, so I'll read it and work with just that". He interacts in a way to make people move. I think the term "impact" is one I've used before.

While he was only in the thread for a little bit, his spatter of posting there completely lacks drive. That's a really, really bad sign for him.

PS I don't like making conditional reads, especially on d1, but if dice and Verbal are w/w this is really, really, really not a good look for Sooh.

I know a lot of people think her ~outburst was villagery and her tone has been "frustrated villager", but I feel like I can read Sooh well enough - on a literal and emotional level - to know she's not really out of her wolf range. I've at least been able to correctly clear her as a villager before.

Do I think Verbal has the balls to come into the thread and defend a wolfbro? Absolutely.

Do I think dice would defend Sooh from Zander if he thought Zander's argument was against the spirit of the game? Absolutely.

In a situation where dice/Verbal are w/w, does it give Sooh serious wolf PR equity? Absolutely.

This is just not villager Dice ever.

Dice finally comes in and "makes some reads", but they are pretty weak looking villager reads and none of them look hard to make. Absent are, of course, me/Shad/Zander - since we're the ones "pushing him".

Dice at this point in the game as a villager knows I'm a villager. He reads me well enough to get there or at least heavily think there.

But what is completely lacking is Dice's attack. Dice as a villager doesn't just reserve his bite for Zander for doing something outside "game spirit" or me for saying I'd prefer to hammer before a 3 AM deadline (which I said mostly because I want to have a say in who we lynch, which I won't have at 3 AM, which is a pretty ironic jab considering dice doesn't seem to give a damn who we lynch at all); dice finds things he finds suspicious and hammers into them. I had to pull his teeth out to even get a handful of villager reads in an extremely informative thread.

Dice finds something wolfy and pushes it. There's no push.

You've been in the thread for three different spurts and actively commented only on the Zander/Sooh thing twice and the third time you talked about some villagers.

You might be compressed for time but that's not at all what this is about. This isn't about post count. You've at least been reading the thread to dig up and hash out the arguments with Zander. You've had enough time where you would've found something you thought was wolfy by now or at least have some interest in who the wolves are.

Cory: He has stated in the last few DT's that I am a super easy read for him. I really don't like that he had me as a wavering null/town read. I am starting to think he knows he should have me town but has already made too many town reads to be able to do so. The way that he kinda delayed in doing my read when he jumped right into all the other ones and came back with near immediate reads on everyone else up to that point was troubling also.

I think this a pretty villagery observation from Turin. He is right that I generally feel like I can read him well and blasted him as a wolf in the CT game (which was unspoiled).

To some extent I think playing with you is different. I am kind of paranoid on exactly how many people I feel are clear / strongly town, which is probably pushing the people who I'd usually be villager reading lower because there has to be wolves in the game. You certainly aren't on my lynch table at all and if a wagon cropped up on you I would shut it down.

As for the delayed ISO thing, well, some of the content of your posts actually cause me physical pain and I was not particularly sober yesterday.

Zander

Cory

Tina

Dathe

Hallia

Odds are theres prolly one person in this list being miscleared.

I think there's every possibility that's five villagers and I'm not going to tinfoil for the sake of tinfoiling; I'd need to see something that'd actually change my mind.

I kinda liked those responses from dice.

Do you read dice accurately?

Im not bad at it. He is a bit uncaring and a bit surface level here, dont you think?

Posted

Yeah Darthe's a villager. Or his absence made him into a total psychopath far more capable than he ever was.

I select the world where he's just a villager. Feels like the right world.

Cory I hate running on pure meta. I also hate going through a lunch im not 100% on and it turning out wrong and not knowing where to go or what that person thought before they get EoD FoR treatment.

This is mostly fact checking, cant really put my thumb on whats bugging me here but it makes me wanna sleuth

If my wolf game was this good I might try for another champs game.
