This is a question that needs answering. Also high five on the avatar. 

 

I like Sooh's approach here. She doesn't know anything about me or my meta. So she pokes at me to learn more. Day 1 is all about the subtle pokes and seeing how people react. Underreactions and over reactions are the only meat we really have to go on. 

 

@Turin - I noticed the same soft claim thing but was kind of sitting on it to see if Zander was going to bring it up again or make a big deal out of it again. It always is fishy to me when people bring up claims so early either way, but not knowing meta wasn't sure what to make of it.

 

I think I'm willing to [v]Zander [/v] for now for this reason. Good as any at this point.

So I thought I'd poke a little harder since it was brought up and see where it leads. 

 

I can see a few major possibilities here, one of which is Mafia with good fake claim itching to use it. There are some good town reasons for you to do this as well.

You're voting Zander for an early character claim, despite initially having it null because you don't have meta? So a pressure/prod vote?

 

fwiw last game Zander claimed VT in his first post of the game for complicated reasons that aren't really relevant. As far as I know that's the first time he's role claimed early. I don't recall him character claiming really early as either alignment, so at the moment the action's null, however as town he's suggested mass claims a couple of times (earlyish game ~day 2) as a means to solve. I'd put the early claim as null.

It's the timing and also I don't agree with your vote.

 

Your vote on Alanna came right after Zander's but with enough time between to make me think it wasn't just a coincidence or fluke.

I also don't agree that Alanna seems to be pushing a scummate's case...or any case really she just said Eldrick seemed awkward.

If she had voted maybe I'd agree but she didn't.

 

To me it looks way more likely that you and Zander would be scummate's who distanced and then jumped on the same person than it does that Alanna and Sooh are scummates.

I never said Alanna and Sooh were scummates. I said they both agreed with Zander's case, and that Sooh's response was less suspicious than Alanna's.

No, seriously. I don't know yet. I think the fact that he dropped the issue is a good thing. Initial reaction I was a bit meh to, but latest post is better purely based on the fact that he isn't pursuing a tunnel on me based on it.

 

Before his latest post what made you think he was going to tunnel?

 

It's not an exact science, but the whole, when I pointed a finger at him he just turned around and went "Oh yeah, but you pointing a finger at me or even talking to me in the first place, now THAT's scummy!" (parphrased into basically how I read it) It could have easily turned into a tunnel, at least from my POV. Then again, I don't know BG and don't know how he reacts, but imagine if it was Zander ( ).

 

Anyway, please read my posts today with the consideration that I'm sick as a dog and my husband is the sweetest on earth for making dinner for me, again.

After very careful thought and deliberation, I don't know if I'm buying this whole Mother/Son shtick. It feel feels like its forced and somewhat contrived. I think this kind of gambit is much likely to come from a Scum!Lilly and Scum!Eldrick POV..

 

It feels like they have an agenda and are already setting the stage for some sort of claim later in the game.

 

I mean I feel like they're really trying hard to sell us this connection or relationship but with this type of obvious gambit no one is buying into this in my opinion.

 

That's an interesting point of view. Shame there's nothing to it. She did what she said she was going to do in signup, and I appreciate her doing so. I feel signup is part of the game.

 

What's done here because of there can't be alignment indicative, but appreciated nonetheless.

 

 

Whats interesting about a joke where I implied that I said I wasnt buying you both being mother and son and also where did I mention anything about the signup part?  Also just about anything CAN be alignment indicative.

I didnt say I necessarily was engaging for reactions, I asked BG why he didnt feel like I couldnt be.  Most games if not all games have fake claims still doesnt mean its pointless to do so.

I disliked the interaction between Eldrick and Thane early.

 

I don't like Z soft character claiming for no good reason in a game that the MOD has said mafia have fake claims. In this sort of case I would expect one of the fakes yo be a major character otherwise what is the point?
