My thoughts have drifted toward roles were someway decided based on what we did. Tree stump went to the person who was lynched, IC went to the second most strung up person etc. There might be some method to the madness but we need more roles/flips to figure that out.

Aye. I graduate in May with 122 credit hours. I need the 150 plus I'm probably going to need that extra boost of a masters

 

It all really depends what you want to do. I went the big 4 route after undergrad, but was the last year (2011 - 2012) that you could graduate with 120 and sit for the exam. They gave us 3 months to pass 1 exam and then 18 months to get the rest or we had to go back for credits before sitti g again. It was stressful. So its smart that people just stay for the 150 now.

The school I go to is pushing the Audit route, but I think I'm more of a Tax person. I'd like the experience going into big 4 but it's something I'm thinking about. Nobody ever prepped me for all of this and transferring schools my Junior year kinda hurt me. I'm in Beta Alpha Psi and they're bringing in a lot of firms to talk to us and network so I'm trying to see where I'll fit in.

 

The Clemson program actually is really good because they prep for each section of the exam and then give you a week or so off to sit for it before moving on to the next section, so the test is built in. And it's a good school, as much as I hate Clemson. Meh. Taking time off and getting the GMAT done will give me a chance to look at schools I suppose

Major pros of big 4 firms:

Learn at a pace thats 3x anywhere else.

Staying there for 2-3 years shows you can hack it. You dont worry about getting jobs really going forward. Your resume really vouches for you.

 

Cons:

You will have no life. I dont say that lightly. Your worklife is it and the days are mindnumbingly long.

 

Also prob work everyday in January (80 to 100 hr weeks) and that kind of drags on for the next few months too. Dont listen to anyone that pretends there is work life balance.
