Yo Zander. Doing my best to catch up. I always do a lot better fading my reads the first two days. When there isnt much to go on i feel like we tend to harp on tiny misstatements as inherently scummy and get mislynches. Whereas I actually think town falls into these traps more than scum bc they are more relaxed going into the game.

 

So the first two phases I fade (swap) my read on the player I view as outwardly the most townlike, bc I think a good scum player is actually more likely than town to come off this way. Bc it is the persona they are trying to enact. Whereas oddly people that are town are less concerned of appearances and thus seem scummier sometimes.

 

Manbat is the only one who struck me at that point as being completely reasonable through all posts. So by my self instituted policy I have him atop my scum list.

As I said, it wasn't the claim itself that I had a problem with. It was the manner in which he went about it. The tone of the whole pm color thing clearing him without a doubt when as Cory said, it doesnt. I don't like it at all, it,feels very fake to me.

But Cory mentioned that AFTER i did what youre saying. Does that no factor into your assessment of it and reasons for why or why not please?

Sure he mentioned it after, but like he said: duh. It is common practice to give sample role PMs to avoid just what you tried to do.

Pretty much. Tried to jump back a bit too. No one is going to go after manbat, despite his clear guilt. He very nearly confessed to me in the scumchat. Next time I am wearing a wire.

First nine pretty towny, last three slightly scummy, however, I recognize that within my bottom three are two people who have a history of being easy mislynches and Hallia who I have trouble reading.

 

Ok so differences lie is Manbat, Zander, Calder, Hallia, Turin

 

Manbat is yoyoing and honestly there's a direct tie between how recently I've read his posts and his position on my list. I don't feel comfortable clearing him yet though.

 

Zander's catch up is making me change my mind constantly so its a YOLO/lazy read I'll rectify tonight

 

Calder is weird, he's making me laugh, but I get the impression he prefers the mafia rand, so would expect more if he raided that way? Probably not a fair assessment I've only seen him town once and he was far more engaged in that game than this, but the games 24 hours in so???

 

Hallia is a weakish read, I'd prefer to keep quiet on what I'm looking at at the moment

 

Turin is another one I'm watching, but we think alike when town on maybe 80% of things. Can't say I trust this as its been a while since we were t-t and my way of reading people has changed a lot over the past 9 months or someone, but I feel pretty comfortable with him at this point. Worth noting Csarmi IS someone we read differently.

 

Should be said the only person I'm not watching closely at this point is Dice, his recent vote just alleviated the only concern I have.
