I'll have to go back and,look, if I recall he had other posts after that saying why he thought so that made sense to me. On mobile. If there isn't anything after all, I could see that being a bit shady. Not nearly to the degree Zander is, though.

@Laine, one reason I asked Zander about his opinion on your unvote as he knows you better and was around. Self awareness of your vote is null to me, except for the indication of self consciousness.

 

I'm baffled that Zander as any alignment would try that, or think that it would work. I really don't want to clear Zander because "he wouldn't do that as mafia" because those arguments end badly, so I'm treating it as null. The issue is with how much of the early game that links into which doesn't leave me much to get a 'good' read from.

 

one thing I keep coming back to wondering is how similar this is to Yates in SW, is it like Yates trying to clear himself in which case I'd probably say no, or like Yates telling Seph to look in an old private mentor QT, which I dont remember Zander having an issue with. In reality it's somewhere between the 2 and I'm left at null. What's your opinion? You know him better :)

IRT Zander... I don't see him doing that as mafia. I'm not going to put him into a little town box for it, but I don't see wolf!Zander using information from a town PM to self clear. He's the type of person that would want to self clear through game play and not use silly tricks to try and gain favor. At the same time... with the petition from the sign up thread, he may have wanted to turn things in his favor quickly so that things didn't get out of hand, thus claiming like that, in which case it's definitely null. Overall so far I'm getting a cautious town read of Zander though some of his responses have come off quite defensive. First was how serious he became with Lenlo, and secondly some of his responses towards you were very reactive. Still within town meta but if he continues to push that envelope, I'll become worried.

 

I think the town would benefit focusing elsewhere a little bit to get Zander out of the spotlight so that we can read him in a different setting. Having all this craziness so early is just going to lead up to lynching either Lenlo or Zander and that's not going to do the town any good if EITHER of them are town.

No. I dont. If you are town, you would know the color.

I think it's the lack of responsibility for your vote, it doesn't come off as a joke vote, but I don't get what makes it serious

 

I'm unsure on Laine, her unvote indicates that she's extremely conscious of her vote (and that she hasn't read the rules - oddly enough Lenlo has), but I can see that coming from town and mafia. The reaction is interesting regardless of Zanders flip, but if he flips mafia then she's consciously made a move that links them which would be odd (albeit not unheard of )

Questioning the Laine unvote was for several reasons, first I really wanted to move the conversation on from Zanders claim, I wanted him to talk about something other than defence and Lenlo and finally because it was marginally more interesting than the rest of the conversation, as it speaks to a state of mind. I can't place a mind set to that vote as such, other than a generic one that's not alignment indicative for laine, I wondered if Zander could.

 

And I don't understand your second argument at all. Questioning people is what I do, literally every game. You've just nodded a game in which mafia! Tina tried to prod me for it, you've just nodded a game in which I didn't vote for 2 days, why is this suddenly scummy to you?

 

So, looking at her posts, some of them seem to be nudgy where she throws suspicion around on Laine, Eldritch, Zander etc without wanting to place a vote anywhere. Yeah, it is still the first day but this is a D0 lynch wiht 24-hr timeline. Kind of a wary, active poster but trying to move people's opinion around.

Basically in Rag D1 Eldrick was annoyed/surprised that a Third Parties Wincon had been posted in the opening post by the mods. This struck me as odd and I followed him on it and future stuff all through the game until he got lynched and flipped scum.
