The most important thing is, until somebody counterclaims Yates, mafia literally cannot win this game.  It is mathematically impossible.  I appreciate whichever of you two TRYING to fight at this point, but you both need to understand that you have two choices.

 

• Counterclaim, setting up Yates to be one of two necessary mislynches
• Concede, not wasting anybody's time.
   

There is an unfair stigma here about conceding.  Unless Yates is lying, this game - again -  is over.  We town.  Given that you and Tress BOTH have admitted to not being the cop, Thane claimed wolf, and I admitted days ago I'm not the cop, the only possibility for Yates being a liar is if Dice or Notbob is the cop.  Town!Yates doesn't gambit this here because he knows he's costing us the game, and if he's scum, he's already won.  

 

TL;DR - Please don't make me spend time on my weekend playing mafia for an outcome that's already been decided.  Nobody is going to hold it against you for NOT taking time up.

Well look at the evidence.

 

Shad fake peeks me and Dice - gets killed off for picking two townies, so naturally he's a good bet for Seer as he's chosen two people scum know are town. You know this, hence me being in SHC pile.

 

I made no fake peeks, and indeed screwed up, as Clov helpfully pointed out, by making it obvious I'm not the Seer very early on.

 

Tress, on the other hand, was not fake peeked.

 

She did, however, make a fake peek on someone who had already been fake peeked by scum. I don't know if this was to make it look like two people can't be scum providing fake cover, so if one dies, the other looks better?

 

She does contribute ISOs, but they seem to be safe ISOs (i.e., of the dead players whose roles are confirmed, instead of ISOing to solve someone).

 

I will admit, her posts are quite clean, not probing, but not WRONG. Maybe that's what IS wrong with them, they're all just clean. Her timing, her reasoning, like the post to vote Bender when the case has already pretty much been made while still citing she knows Yates isn't lying, or her reasoning in this post and this post. Her reason for voting Pral in the end is essentially a coin toss, and naturally you're not going to pick your team mate.

 

Today it would be too dangerous to pick anyone else, when I seem to be doing a very good job of providing a scapegoat for her anyway.

 

I'm not really sure what the bold suggests.  Thane didn't give peeks either (at least not until D3 when he was trying to keep people from being removed from the pool) , and we know he's mafia.  And I also don't know if you're saying helpfully sarcastically because you think I was being a jerk about it, but that really doesn't matter.

 

You'll have to explain to me what your line of thinking is with the double peek.  I'm not even sure who you're talking about at this point, but more significantly, I don't know why THAT would be scummy.

The double peek made me wonder, at the time, if one of Bender and Tress were a wolf (they fake peeked the same person, Shad, on the same day) and also wonder what fake peeking someone who had already been fake peeked would achieve in different scenarios. Knowing now that Bender was scum, would Tress do it to look good? (obv they know Shad was town, so when he eventually flips town/gets killed, both Bender and Tress would look good for providing Seer cover, then if one of them flips scum, the other one still looks pretty good because what are the odds of both of those fake peeks coming from scum players?)

 

I can even say nicely played to Tress and Zander for having Tress' mechanical game be so close to mine, I think we had all the same votes, but through my lack of play and some nicely planted accusations from Zander right before his death, and knowing I'm a weaker player, she could probably still make a good case for hanging me (I think Tress even said at one point something along the lines of (paraphrase) "I'm going to go back and see what clues Zander might have given us right before his death", nice set up, nice set up).

I don't think you should give out town credit for providing seer cover.  In these games, it's basically a necessity, so any decent scum familiar with this format should be doing it as well.  They also have the advantage of knowing who scum is, so they can fakepeek a teammate and use it for plausible reason they weren't killed (this is an especially useful technique for players that draw NK's early, since obviously scum!ThatPerson isn't getting shot), or they can peek a townie and don't have to run the risk of blowing cover to evaluate their fakepeek.  For me, personally, I typically don't care who people peek.  The fact Tress and Bender both picked Shadooh means literally nothing to me; if Tress is town, she obviously didn't know Bender's alignment, and teammates sometimes double up.
