Curiously, if Zander ended up town. How would your reaction be? Based on what you said here?

I would still quit the site but then I'd create alt accounts on all other sites in order to bury the Yates name forever out of sheer embarrassment and shame. When I am *this* sure on somebody? I've been wrong exactly once that I remember. And that guy later admitted to intentionally trolling for lulz and was an "honorary member" of the scum team.

I have good feelings about Zander. I kinda had zander as scum in the previous game when everyone was reading him town and it was mainly because of subtle things he was doing like trying to score townie points unnaturally etc. I don't see that subtlety in this game and I am kind of convinced he is town. I don't know much about Blessie's gameplay but I haven't seen anything bad from her so far.

Yates also looks fine to me. The argument between yates/zander looks v/v to me.

Thane is relatively less involved in the thread. That however is not alignment indicative as he is kind of more involved when he is scum and you can see through his actions. I think he is town in this one based on what he has posted.

(I also had AJ as town because hsi reads matched quite with mine. But, that is moot anyway now. We know who AJ was)

Clov and BFG are somewhere in the middle but leaning towards town. I have a hard time reading Clov but I have noticed that he questions a lot as scum. In this game however, he is more focused on giving out his reads straightforwards. But, that is something which looks too straightfoward.

As to BFG, I didn't like her reading dice as town and reading clov as scum. However, her posts have been good and looks like the town BFG that I know.

Taborline, Notbob and Tress are null. The vote by Tress on Lenlo at the end of the game was the only thing that needs to be looked at,. Frankly, there was no need for the vote and could have done by both town or scum. Want to read her more before arriving at conclusions. Taborline, I don't have an opinion yet. Again, she is a new player and I need to see more. Notbob, well, you know why.

Shad and Dice are my top contenders for scum. Shad has felt odd for me since the beginning. I know he has claimed seer but I am not buying that. Posts like this and this looks like he was nudguing without willing to take a firm stand on Lenlo initially. I am more or less sure he is scum

I was kind of uncomfortable with dice earlier in the game. Similar to the earlier game, I see him coming occassionally and posting, just as if to show he is in the game. And, that feeling is why I think he is scum. In addition, I see soem nudges like this.

Okay, I know you said later that you haven't FULLY caught up, but explain to me why you think Yates and Zander are likely v/v?  I think this is considerably more likely than w/w (I swear to god, if you two are doing a Lenlo-Zander thing I'm never talking to either of you again.  Not even kidding), but I don't know if both sides would just be hounding one another the way they have if they were ever trying to discern each other's alignment.  I fully understand that Yates is convinced Zander is guaranteed scum, and maybe he is, but barring a red check I don't understand how you don't stop to consider the merits of things they say.  Same can be said for Zander.  Do you think the two of them are just so bullheaded they're locked in their positions?

I don't get your point on Thane at all.  I've played with him as scum...one time?... and he wasn't overly active that game at all.  Beyond that, if he's MORE active and you can see through him, how is his play this game not alignment indicative?

Null pile makes perfect sense and I have no issues with anything you've said there.

I sort of disagree with your scum suspects, Dice moreso than Shad, but I especially disagree with you reasoning on Shad.  I don't see how you can interpret that first post you linked as him nudging Lenlo.  I would argue that asking another player on someone's typical behavior is a pro-town move.  Yeah, any decent scum can DO it, but the move itself comes from a townie mentality of trying to figure out how to read somebody.  The latter is slightly more "nudgey" but I don't see why it can't just be him trying to get somebody else to make an opinion.  Do you disagree with this?

If it helps...I could lynch Thane here...what says you?

The shift in perspective by Clov on my slot is interesting. I wonder at which point he realized I'm the cop and I have a guilty on one of them - and he doesn't know which one - but I still managed to nail them both???

I think he knows who I peek in this situation but I'll let him tinfoil on that for a while...

So yeah. Hard claim cop. I have a guilty on one of Clov/Bender. So we are always lynching one of those two. And I'm intentionally sabotaging this game by not telling you which one I have the guilty on because, frankly, they are both scum.

He's not my first or second choice, but I won't fight it.  I still don't feel he's been "Thaney", like a few people have claimed, so I don't have any reason to oppose it.

What's your opinion on Tabor?

Undetermined. But I had her at like 60% likely scum with Bender at 95% and Clov at 85%. And the crazy thing is? I can see a scum team of EXACTLY Bender/Clov/Tabs based on interactions and certain posts directed at me.

I can support a lynch of Bender or Clov

Go on.

That wasn't a joke.  I'm actually expecting you to contribute thoughts to the game you signed up for.

Follow the leader.  Vote Bender

If you lie.  You swing next.  No exceptions.

....Did he actually hard claim cop?  I honest-to-god put him on ignore earlier this morning because I got tired of reading them.  But I'm going to say this one time, and one time alone.

Yates is lying.  I am not counterclaiming.  I hardclaimed vanilla townie, and that is the truth - this is NOT me attempting to call him a liar because I am the cop, or even that I know who the cop is.

What I do know is I'm town, and this is a 13 player basic game, so even if he IS the cop (I doubt this, but I can't rule it out) I know for a fact he does not have a guilty on me.  The only way he has a guilty is if he checked Bender and Bender's actually scum.  I sincerely doubt this is the case, because Yates isn't going to investigate the person he spent all of D1 jumping up and down about how they were obvious scum.  He's going to use it on somebody he's not sure of, and if THAT person comes back clean, default back to Zander.

So if somebody out there besides Yates is the cop, DO.  NOT.  COUNTERCLAIM.  HE IS OBVIOUSLY LYING, AND ANYBODY WITH HALF A BRAIN IS GOING TO REALIZE THAT.

Yates, if you REALLY are the cop, you're playing this so pathetically bad I don't even know what the hell to tell you at this point.

The fact that you do not like how I play this game brings me joy.  You doubting Yates' hard claim or just hoping it goes away?

You'd probably love what I think of you as a person, then.

1. You are lying about putting me on ignore so... touche?

and most importantly

2. Why would YOU rule out a Yates gambit entirely? It's pretty much my bread and butter, right?

It is. You are obviously Town. I have you as clear as BFG and Dice. And none of you will ever be mislynched.

Yes.  Stop pretending to not understand.  My words are clear.  I'm not the guy who puts others on their ignore list because I do not like their narrative.

Posted

You said you started reading when you made your first post.  That doesn't mean you didn't go back after the fact to check D1, and it doesn't mean you've managed to stay caught up with D2.

But since you've seen it, why do you not feel that you can write off BFG due to AJ dying?

Posted

And I didn't put him on ignore "because I don't like his narrative".  I put him on ignore because if I continue to read his posts, I'm going to do something I might actually feel bad for.

I find BFG's tone as town.  Is there a narrative from Day 1 that would suggest that BFG has a motive in AJ's death.  Please cite the evidence used in your analysis.  I'd offer my own if you ask.

And this is why I'm asking how much of the thread you've read.  If you HAD read the posts from this phase (and paid attention to them), you would know that multiple players - including myself - have said BFG is seer hunt cleared by AJ's death.  He fakepeeked her.

So for the third time this phase, I'll repeat myself: the only way BFG is NOT mechanically clear is if you care to argue she's scum and she deliberately submitted a night kill on somebody she knew had no chance of being the cop.

Tress, you said you were going to look back through AJ's content from D1.  Did you get around to this/glean anything from it?

I said that this morning, have been at work all day with lovely filtered internet access and performance metrics and whatnot that severely restrict my ability to mafia.  SOMEDAY *sigh*

That'll be one of my tasks for tonight!

I hate saying this because I fully understand RL stuff can and is legit.  But Kaylee skated by in Frozen doing this sort of stuff and we all know how that turned out....

  And since I actually did go back last night and ISO AJ (which gave me a few things to consider), I can spend my day today reviewing Yates' case on you.
