Shad, Crusher and Alanna are in my suspect list. Alanna to a lesser extent..... I didn't like her initial posts... but she's in the middle of catching up so pending on what she brings to the table going forward.

 

My point is that the spread is just giving me a bit of an itch, is all. Standard scum read lists spread out their scummates. So I find it interesting that you have the three spread out that way. Of course, if you're scum, it means I'm wrong about one of'em.... but eh.... just think it's interesting    I'll keep it in mind once we start getting some flips.

 

 

Another thing I wanted to address 

 

First of all the "trap" was dumb in the first place. Playing "gotcha!" with the way people talk is retarded and usually goes nowhere. Secondly it seemed to me Kiv was more interested in pushing Nyn's buttons than using her to trap others and just decided on that after the fact. It makes me even more wary that he "caught" Crusher since Crusher is a notoriously hard person to lynch and someone scum would want to take down early if they could. The whole thing just left me feeling slimey on Kiv and I'd be happy to vote him off.

 

 

Maybe usually it doesn't go anywhere.. Would you really say it didn't go anywhere this time? Do you really have no issue with Crusher jumping in minutes after Kiv's push to fuel the fire? And then his OMGUS reaction to Kiv's vote based on a false accusation?

 

What you said about Kivam.... at the time, I kinda felt the same way. ie I felt that he was trying to rile me up. Of course, I don't think he could have really foreseen me reacting the way I did, cause I didn't even know that. But the fact of the matter is.... I think he could have realistically pushed it further to get me lynched if he wanted to. Instead he drew conclusions from the situation and adjusted. Why would scum do that? I mean I was as good of a lynch..... I'm not an easy lynch either. In fact, I've only ever been lynched like twice as scum. Never as town. 

 

Yes, Crusher isn't an easy lynch. Yes, if Crusher is town (which I doubt), scum would seize the opportunity. But this is a weird defense of a player that is in your null pile. I mean, if you were town reading Crusher, I'd understand more where you were coming from.... but you're not. Crusher's clout is recognized and all.... but the argument of why you find Kiv suspect and in your top scum reads falls flat, imo.

I didn't think it was that bad. Crusher was being put under pressure to give some game content and he jumped at something right in front of his face. It was lazy play, just the kind of thing I'd expect from Crusher in this situation. He saw someone making a case and latched onto it.

 

As for the question "why would scum do X?" normally I avoid it since it's just WIFOM but I feel pretty confident in saying IF Kivam is mafia and IF it was his intent to get someone lynched through his actions he may have thought that this was a good bargain. Get Crusher lynched and possibly pocket you in one move? Yeah that's a good deal.

Sarine Tarasind.  Read through and if we get close enough to deadline Im a good lynch for today.  Yes Im town but I think my lynch would shine a light on a lot of people. Nyn reacted to a number two vote on her by basically giving up. I mean hell she was ready to give up after one vote from Kivam.  At JN that would bring attention yet here people defended her.  Mybe it's chivalry? She is a very sweet Yummy Bunny after all. 

 

Kivam made a silly list in the begininning of the game saying my meta was making early game jokes and Crusher could be town or scum but I will wait.   He waited for my very first vote of the game.  Yeah nothing weird there.  So if we get close to deadline lynch me and you should be able to use the information to find scum.  Yes I love the town that much.  Each and every one of you.

Prior to that last post, you made the post where you voted him and accused him of spinning your questions into a scumread.  He replied a few minutes later.  You said hi to Thane and then didn't reply to him - or anything else.  That made me wonder if you were trying to figure out how to respond, or if you should just let it go.

 

 

Reasonable.  I was trying to figure out how to respond.  It takes me a bit to properly untwist what he's saying.  If we're v/v I feel like we're speaking two different languages here.

Again...it bothers me that you keep speaking under the assumption that Crusher is town... while you have him as null. I mean, yes, Crusher could be lazy town. But he could also opportunistic scum. I find it odd that you're pushing the lazy town option.... while hedging on him in your read list and having him as null. If Crusher is null to you, then the two options should be reasonable to you and you've yet to decide which of them it is. And yet here you are going on about how scum would want to get rid of Crusher early... and how this is the lazy play you expect of Crusher as a townie..... and you're going after Kiv for it.

 

Is there anything else about Kivam that bothers you? Cause all you've mentioned (from what I can tell) is the trap deal. But he offered a lot more content than just that.

Well I am under the assumption that Kiv is mafia right now...and mafia wouldn't be trying to lynch mafia hence the assumption Crusher is town. Based on his own performance Crusher doesn't look town yet which is why I have him as null. Does that make sense now?

 

No there's nothing else. What stood out at first were your reactions but the longer it went on the more I disliked what Kiv was saying/doing and then all of a sudden he's like lol it's just a trap and I caught Crusher which idk. It looked like a tactical retreat to me.

Yes that's true but she's also said she's under a lot of pressure due to job searching. It kind of makes sense and she made it known before the game started so I don't think that's as much a reason to come down on her as I normally might have.

My thoughts and reds as follows.

 

Right now feeling good about AJ and Clov. I'm leaving tinfoil for later, if the three of us are still alive later in the game. Hopefully scum solves that for me or I'm too dead to care. . But for now, they're green. Welcome to the club, boys    I kinda wanna put Calder in here too. He did have good content and I've liked a lot of his posts. But I'm also taking into account the meta Clov spoke of..... and that he sort of gotten a little quiet.... so I'd like to see what more he has to say, beyond his thoughts about Shad. So.... tentative green, but subject to change if his involvement decreases. 

 

Null to town. Light green. Kivam falls into this pile. Not ready to put him in the greens yet cause he pissed me off and I keep grudges     But I've been wrecking my brain about it and I think his actions are coming from a townie mindset. I think what I need to seal him as a green is Crusher's flip. Two more that are going into this pile are Zander and Hallia. Mostly gut. I don't have as much experience with Zander so I could be wrong. But for now I feel okay about him. With Halli.... I just sort of know. It's silly, but the way she told me to just have fun and not let anyone bug me makes me feel better about her. She's engaging me like she usually does. And her perceiving the Shad/Calder thing as V/V isn't that uncharacteristic of her imo (I recall someone said it might be TMI,,, I just think she has a different outlook on things sometimes). I don't agree with her.... but we often disagree, to be fair. I still want to see more from her, like always. But I feel somewhat more comfortable with her atm.

 

 

Null are basically Thane and dice. I'm not sure yet. Once they accumulate more content I'll reassess. Nothing they've said so far wowed me one way or the other.

 

 

Null to scum: Laine and Nolder. Like I said, Laine has had a bad entry to the game. And then wasn't really around due to RL. Looking forward to see what she has to say when she catches up. If it wasn't for her earlier stuff, she'd be null right now... but that pushes her over to slightly scummy.  Nolder feels a little off to me. He was really slow getting into the game (though that can be said of quite a few players). Really not sure of his defense of Crusher. lunno. We're talking right now, so we'll see.

 

Scum: Shad and Crusher. For reasons already stated. tldr, Crusher for pouncing.... reeked of scum piggyback riding (and almost caused an earthquake) and OMGUS charge on Kiv over a made up reason. Shad's reactions have improved but I just can't shake off his initial play. From what I've seen of him in games before.... his behavior has been kinda uncharacteristic. I don't have much experience with him... maybe a couple of games.... but from what I know, he's a lot more together and makes reasonable sense. Kinda missing that here.... felt kinda all over the place. Doing a little better now... just not sure if it's enough at this point.

I mean, it's fine if you think his trap was stupid.... but as far as traps go.... he placed a vote... saw a reaction... .and retracted it. What about that is coming across shady to you? I mean..... that's how you reaction test. Maybe you can try to explain a little better why you think this is Kiv doing a tactical retreat vs. this is Kiv trying to catch scum?   If this was all planned.... then he would have expected me to blow a gasket and for Crusher to show up and side with him... just to buddy me up and make Crusher look bad?  Do you understand why this is coming off as a bit of a stretch?

You know what bugs me a lot about this read list? The spread. Shad in town, Crusher in null, Laine in scum. May be something, may be nothing. I'll be keeping an eye on your read progression regardless.

Fwiw, I feel good about Clov and AJ after catching up. Clov more so. Calder kinda went a bit quiet so I'd like to know where his head is at. Will post a read list later when I'm on my laptop.

Yea I went to bed super early last night after trying to catch up. I went back and re-read mostly Crusher and Kivam posts. My main issue is that i really dont get a good vibe from Kivam. I have been off on him ever since his "maybe i am peeking this guy so scum might NK me and not hit the cop or maybe i am the cop." Maybe just a stroking his ego post, but rubbed me the wrong way. It read as a bit contrived, but i obv. have not had any interaction with him prior to this game.

 

I also really hated Kivam's push on Nyn. The whole "town doesn't feel that they are scum hunting, they just scum hunt" was atrocious. Nitpicking on wording like that rarely nets scum. Also it is common phrasing and i agree with Nyn's point. Its been a game filled with inactives. Half of town has blatantly not been actively scumhunting. So I thought her wording was actually extremely appropriate.

 

I trust him the least and, as such, don't currently want to pursue Crusher until i feel better about Kivam.

I will concede that I forgot about your question to him in #75.  When you said he was spinning your questions into a scum read, I assumed you meant the question about how you would act as mafia - which he answered appropriately, IMO, despite it being a pretty bad question.

 

I think it became a "bad question" when he chose to call it WIFOM and assume I had a 'correct answer' in mind instead of elaborating on his thought process.  The WIFOM is whether scum would drop early reads, but that wasn't what I was getting at at all.  He dropped the 'fluffing post count' aspect out of the question when he answered.  It enabled him to say "a good scum player would do this to look town" while simultaneously calling it out for, in his opinion, looking really scummy.

 

Basically he answered it as if I asked the question to defend myself.  What he does have going for him in the engagement is that he immediately called out WIFOM without explanation and made me prod him to elaborate.  It tells me the thought might have come honest rather than being an attempt to smear me.  He's generally been focused on interpreting what I say while blowing off most of my direct engagement.  I think it's a pretty scummy way to play and definitely doesn't help if he's town considering almost no one here knows his usual style.

Yes my main focus has been interpreting what the motivations behind your statements have been. Bc we are playing a deceitful game and to be honest you have not acted as an honest person would. You suggest over and over that i am ducking engagement while you ask no real questions of me.

 

Your contributions have been to commit the scum trifecta of non-content/shady throw-away posts, jumping right to why would scum do this statements, and then wrapping up with the inevitable attacking your attacker in an attempt to draw attention away from yourself.
