Ragnarok Game Thread - Game Over, Town Wins!

He's not one of my town reads, which puts him in my WTL. I'm curious how much support this train could get. Who else feels this way?

 

I don't have any compelling reasons to push him besides POE.

 

I know there have been people that have mentioned problems with him, but no one is voting, and I'm curious why.

So, full explanation...

 

On Tuesday work announced a redundancy round. Wednesday I found out I was 'safe' and currently ~most of my friends are. I sat down a couple of times last night to read through, but to say I couldn't concentrate would be understating my frame of mind last night.

 

I cant say I'm particularly 'happy' at the moment, but I should be better able to play tonight, for real this time.

 

If you ignore the rest read this. If I come across as snappish or bad tempered it has nothing to do with this game or anyone playing. Yell at me or something and I'll walk away for a bit. the absolute last thing I want is to make the game less fun to play <3

I would need to read up on him, I don't feel good about him but I can't put my finger on it either, except that I feel everything between him and Wisheste on D2 was a giant setup. I'll try to skim over his posts.

I'm not liking Leelou's play at all. She has contributed very little, and it seems that it going to continue for the foreseeable future. I sincerely hope that she isn't town, cuz this is hurting us if she is. I'm not seeing Town!Leelou at all this game, and she is firmly in my WTL

How would you describe Leelou's town play normally?

It's hard to describe. She's usually more active. I find it weird that she isn't looking for a replacement, if she doesn't have the time to give the game the attention it deserves.

Maybe because she spoke with the mod and he told me to just post in the thread id be busy/not around.

 

I mean I've voted every day except for this one so far.

Early game stuff

Snow, There's an internal consistency to his early posts that I like; he questions Sili early on then asks Sooh about Sili, Lenlo, Ocicat when Sili was interested in Lenlo and Ocicat at the time. It makes sense to me that he'd be more aware of Sili's reads as town than as mafia. The aggression is null, he was more aggressive as mafia in Pokemon than he was as town in AG, but Pral's said in a couple of games that his experience is the opposite, so that's null. Slight town lean at this point.

Snow's switch to FoS'ing Lenlo is interesting, he seemed to follow Sili onto Sooh earlier
 

 

So I was looking over your ISO, since I didn't remember you were in the game, I figured I should remember what you have said. So far, not very impressed. But this caught my eye.

 

You are feeling good about JS finding a reason to justify his town read of Sili, but then find it interesting that he would follow Sili onto Sooh. Why is this interesting? It makes sense to me to give some trust to your town reads.

You know, now that I think about it, you are one of the people I'm just not sure how to read. You aren't being blatantly townie, and that is bugging me, but I'm not sure if you tend to be or not. I guess I just expected more from you by now. Hopefully I'll get that when RL gives you the chance to get back into full swing.

He questions Sili early on, Sili is paying attention to Lenlo and Occicat. When he talks to Sooh soon after he specifically asks about those 3 players, despite other people posting. It indicates that he's paying attention to Sili and not just pretending to.

 

That's enough for an early game town lean, but nowhere near enough to stop paying attention to him/write him off... Besides which I typically write very few people off altogether and will poke at people all through the game for various reasons.

 

It was interesting because early game he was suspicious of Sili then seemingly switched to following him onto a couple of people. The change from suspicious to town read this implies wasn't obvious from his posts.

Forgot to add: Yes, I still feel weird about the itneractions between him and Wisheste D2. But what nailed it for me was how Wisheste went after him D1, using the exavt same tactics they used against me, and the fact that I can not pick up any agenda from his posts. His reads are fluid, he's willing to change them as the game passes and in a way that seems natural. He's neither just sitting on the sidelines waiting for things to comment on or trying to steer the game in a direction he wants.

Mish - Have seen nothing scummy from Mish. She's floating out theories and trying to figure the game out. Not seeing this as coming from a scum perspective. 

Sili - What I've read of his posts (I just can't read them all in detail - that would take too long), they are coming from a townie Sili. 

Talya - I like how she's digging into the game and really trying to make sense of it. She's one of my stronger town reads. 

 

Tress - Can't fully clear you into town, I think it has to do with your interactions with Eldrick. 

Jon Snow - light town read. Being a bit antagonistic, not a scum trait though

Lenlo - seems to be really trying. Giving him some townie points for now

Eldrick - for now, on the town side with a .001% potential for Loki. 

 

Verbal - hasn't really done much past egg me on a bit. Uncomfortably null

Taborline - I really would like to see more from her. I do like that she is voting though, it will help place her as more days pass. 

Ocicat - seems to be an easy target. Not sure yet if it is their playstyle or if actually blatantly scummy

 

Sooh - just saw she is being replaced, meh feelings about her play so far though. Oh, it's BFG. Hi BFG. Are you replacing in as town, scum, or Loki this game? 

TinaHel - I've mentioned her enough. 

Wishleste [wishtree/celeste hydra] - picking and choosing what they answer, coming off as they don't really care how they are seen. The post that really stuck out was Celeste's answer to Mish. It didn't even touch upon most of Mish's concerns.

I fully acknowledge I might be misclearing some people. If it comes to it, I'll take a deeper look at my town reads. 

 

 

 

What I'm not getting is that some people refuse to answer people's posts and only pick and choose what they like answering, and they're calling Celeste out for, well, doing the same thing?

 

 

The irony. I've seen a lot of it this game. How is it this obvious and you guys aren't seeing it? I'm always super easy to lynch when I'm town.

 

I believe I'm a roleblocker of some sort because I did some research on my character. I targeted John Snow N1.

 

Remember how there were only two kills N1? One probably from town vig (who was Dice), and the other from either Loki/Mafia.

 

If I'm roleblocker, then I must have prevented a kill if both Loki and Mafia have NKs. John Snow is either Loki or Mafia.

 

This has what has been eating away at me. No one pointed that out, and it was so obvious to me. I've also been busy with friends, so I've had no time to post. RL is falling apart, and I'm kind of unstable atm, but Celeste hasn't been helping us look any more town, and I don't want to lose the ability I believe I can use for town.

 

@Sili: Earlier, I said that your posts made so much sense. I was being sarcastic. Could you read between the lines? I ISO'd you when you contradicted yourself. Are you that self-confident?

Lol, I didn't suddenly think this. I hinted that I had a role that doesn't return results when I was thinking about my Loki theory.

Wish-tree I asked you about your list earlier, specifically why you only mentioned a -ve for Talya/Sooh (using Cory's reads) yet had us both as town and also why you said Talya was using Cory's reads when she's been adamant against them. Tabor, Tress and some others? also had questions for similar reasons, did I miss your response?

I have both of you as town because of the way you responded to certain posts. I thought Sooh was a little iffy, but since you have started playing, I have liked your posts. Talya has improved imo because she's not just piggybacking some of Cory's reads.

 

Tabor came in when she'd been lurking and immediately said we were scummy. Then she proceeded again today to come in and vote us, after lurking.

 

@Leelou: Verbal has been lurking, and there's no real reason to clear him as town besides process of elimination. You should lynch him too. :3

I was working my way through Wish's ISO last night (still not completely done) and was coming to the same conclusion from the back and forth about her misrepping him. His posts don't read as staged there IMO.
