Ftr - this is a much deeper excuse than I anticipated. I guess you guys realized you couldn't play up the "Verb got doc'd" thing after all because no one was saving Verb and you guys know he'd be CC'd if he tried to claim a self protect.

 

But, wow.

See my previous reasoning for why Verb and I are extremely extremely unlikely to be mafia together, but yeah, this isn't an excuse.

 

Like - I hate to say that I think Rand is lying, but I have a seriously hard time believing that. Just like I couldn't really believe he was oblivious to missing two entire phases when he checked in D2.

 

If you're town then I'm sorry Rand - that's some crappy luck but you're a suspect for a reason and need to be cleared and nothing you say at this point changes my mind tbh.

 

If you're a wolf then I'm sad to see you stoop in an attempt to save yourself in this manner.

Tbh, I was defending myself and why you guys were tunneling on me/just looking at me before, but after this I'd have to be an idiot to not see why you guys would see me as scummy.  Hence the intense defense, I still have a wincon to play too, and I'll play to it till I die.  I understand your thoughts, and my job right now is to convince you not to do that since we can gain an extra lynch and an extra town-controlled kill by doing that.  It's a huge town swing if you don't lynch me.  I get what you're saying, and I know I've had a combination of horrible luck d2 and lack of preparation on d1.  I'm sorry for my townplay, mainly d2.  Honestly, I would never go this low as a wolf, hopefully some of you remember enough of me to know that, but I don't want to AtE too much so whatever, just look at my logic please, its pretty sound imo and hopefully that can convince you guys that I'm not the optimal path today.  Both because its unlikely I'm mafia, and even if I am mafia, its much much more likely that Verb's mafia with me, and if you lynch me, you're risking misusing a town lynch and letting a town kill go to waste.

Sure, Verb - short useless posts, jumping onto different BWs, wagonomics on me didn't make sense, most scummy.

 

You - like we both said, previous reads were weak, but the arrogance is whats really hitting me now, to me it seems like scum trying to seem more confident on their reads so that they can convince town to follow them..  Tbh though, this reminds me of Tommy's play awhile ago, and I accidentally read him as mafia one game because of this and not being used to it on DM.  Can someone else besides AJ say how AJ's play compares to Tommy?

 

Talya and BFG are more of a process of elimination thing, but also because I feel like most people have cleared them not because of townie play necessarily, but because they do a lot of indepth case work and go back and do a lot of analysis.  Yet when I was scum, I found out that this was the easiest way to gain town cred without actually being "townie" (especially since my meta was pretty scummy).  So again, not anything too strong, but its the fact that I have nullish reads on them while I have town reads on others, or slight scum reads.

What? How does this make sense if you're a wolf and we kill you today?

Because the only reason you would actually gain a benefit for lynching me and not Verbal today is if I'm wolf and Verbal is town.  However, if that was true, I would have submitted my kill right away (no reason not to).  Therefore, if I'm a wolf, then Verbal is a wolf, so the possibilities for Rand/Verb are v/v, v/w, w/w.  So statistically, Verbal is more likely to be scum.  Plus, if you lynch me, lose a vig that's going to give a town shot.  If we lynch Verbal and he's town, not only does that almost clear me, but we don't know if we actually lose a vig or not since he was WIFOMing, I'm leaning towards no.  But killing me has no indication on Verbal's alignment.

I cant explain tone better than I have already. Beyond that he voted Laine early and consistently kept attention to it. At the time Laine was a null or town read for everyone, so there's no need for Dice to do this if mafia.

 

His read on Hallia is the read townDice 'would' have, although I dont know for sure mafia Dice would have instead.

I'm not an idiot, and I know that if I don't shoot Verbal, then I'm lynched next, and you guys figure this out and lynch Verbal after that. So it would be utterly idiotic for me to not kill him. Its not even a WIFOM move either, because even with WIFOM, I'm in a more dangerous position now, THERE ARE NO BENEFITS. Both Verbal and I would have to be utter idiots for this to happen.

A) Nothing is obvious about what you say in this regard. There's no guarantee you are telling the truth and frankly you have used up all the benefits of the doubt I had to give you. So no - Verb flipping town doesn't prove anything about what you say because it's unverifiable. Nice try though.

 

B) I agree it would be dumb for you to shoot Verb as your partner (would've been hilarious for me) - which is exactly why you were told to do so to see if you'd come through on it or not. The doc theory was debunked but now we have this whole story as to why it didn't work out. I'm just not buying it, man. That was like your sole opportunity to redeem yourself and you dropped the ball. This only reinforces my feelings that you're both wolves.

Yeah, but the thing is I didn't really wait, I sent it fairly early, or I thought I did. I just never checked to see if it sent though, I was at work, so I just clicked send, closed the tab, and put away my phone. But yeah, even then it looks horrible.  I just beg you to look at my logic.  Even if you think I'm mafia, then Verbal has to be one too, and lynching him has less of a risk then lynching me (as I'm a vig).

A) Why would I not tell the truth on this one though? As mafia, what would I have to gain by not shooting a townie Verb? There's literally no benefits for me at all, look at whats happening to me right now.

 

B) Like you said, if its enforcing your feeling that Verbal is also a wolf, kill him first, at least get the use out of my vig, and then if you absolutely have to and we don't end up killing mafia with that, then you can start on lynching me.  Obviously I'll defend myself, but then I'll have a weaker platform to defend on.  Right now, it makes much more sense to lynch Verbal, even after what happened with my night action.

K so people are kinda ignoring my response... I wasn't too late, I submitted ahead of time and knew when the deadline was.  I was just at work, put my phone away without making sure it sent, and that's what the problem was, not me being too late or anything.
