/snip again

<snip>

the best way to play this after looking at the set up again is to preserve the vigs. So VTs need to town tell like crazy and vigs shoot from within the pov. Hero shots probably aren't gonna win this

I agree on this. Towns need to town really hard so there's no mistakes. I like the thought of another town victory

(And now I feel like I'm being grumpy)

AJ, why state that we need to preserve vigs, and then say VT need to towntell?

Not to answer for him, but I'm pretty sure he's saying that once we get the POE down (this only works if town is being obvious), we'll have a safe pool for the vigs to shoot into. This is feeding into the idea that it would be dangerous to shoot N1 (not enough info, past experience)

I get the theory :) just curious as to why say that VT specifically need to towntell, as opposed to town in general...

This is also why I said I was feeling grumpy :p

AJ any thoughts on anyone/anything thus far?

Not a ton yet, still feeling everyone out mostly. A few things stood out to me but generally I tend to ramp up slowly on D1.

Hallia's insight gain through the hydra QT from Star Wars. Was strange to me since we've been playing together for a while that I think she'd know me pretty well already. BFG seemed to jump on Shad's case pretty quickly early on.

And Laine apparently hates everything good in life as well

There's been a lot of chatter so far so nothing solid. What about you?

But what are your opinions on Hallia or me? (agree on Laine )

Whatcha thinking Andrej?

Like I said, mostly a hunch. I don't really understand his progression on BFG or the explanation he provided.

It also seems that he's more off topic than not (he isn't the only guilty one of this) but there have been places in the game where I feel like opportunities were there to make observations and he didn't. For instance, the Yates test and the Thane posts a few of us have commented on. I don't remember him saying anything about these and instead he's telling us about his house. Which is great and all but doesn't catch wolves.

BFG: I still don't understand why you're grumpy. lol I need to stop drinking.

I can't believe I'm still hated.

Maybe he's starting to like us and wants to be friends? I see what you mean, I suppose, but not getting the same hunch.

He does have good insight though, so if he's town, I'd like his thoughts on those topics

1. In the event of a draw wolves win by default.

2. Wolves have no nightly kill.

3. Mafia Role PM:

Darthe - You are Otto Graham, Wolf 1x Vigilante. Once , during the night phase of the game, you may submit a kill on a single individual. Your team wins by eliminating all members of the town from the game.

There are 10 Town.

There are 3 wolves.

Wolves get 4 kills.

If we no lynch all game and never use our vig shots we win 6-3.

[v]No lynch[/v]

Game is solved.

It was AJ that first mentioned about not vigging n1.

However I now think you are also towny

[v]No lynch[/v]

Yates, you know that's not gonna fly - right?

Yates, you know that's not gonna fly - right?

We can do it by not making a hammer lynch every day...so what is the difference

It was a joke.  >_>

All wolves have to die for a town win.

That's true but also more consequential versus actively choosing to not play in a sense.

I mean - yeah - it auto wins for town but I don't think that was Darthe's intent when he put this together.

Yates not just a man with a pretty face and no pants!!!

[v] No Lynch [/v[

Yates GOAT

Lol you're right Shad - debunked.

I'm not sure Yates was joking though

ebwop

Lol I fell for it...need chocolate.

Thanks Shad. Back to work then

Talya and Zander are officially welcomed to my village pile.

I don't even...

Yates, out of curiosity why leave AJ off your village pile?

AJ, why state that we need to preserve vigs, and then say VT need to towntell?

In essence my point was that the VTs need to make themselves priorities for the wolf vigs to use their power on by way of not becoming easy mislynches. The vigs/doc are the winning powers for town so by forcing the wolves to waste shots on VTs the village will profit.

I feel like I'm nitpicking, which isn't my favourite way to play, which makes me feel grumpy :/

^ this was going to be my second point. I feel like I sometimes understand Andrej. Other times I want to kick him in the head.

BFG, nitpick away! Hopefully you'll catch something going back over it.

You're right about townies in general. My point more centralized around thinking of how the wolves would need to use their powers. If they have to kill VTs because they aren't lynch bait this is better for us overall. Preserving the town PRs in other words :)

What does your test say for Shad and Andrej though?

Inconclusive? They are equally likely to just be critical thinkers as wolves. So they basically ended the test. But not before Talya and Zander derp cleared themselves, imo.

Except Shad pointed out the logic flaw, AJ initially stated that it was an AUTO win for town.

Do I need to be worried that you're not paying attention to your reaction test or feel like you're townie because you made one?

I'm so down

LEAVE ALANNA ALONEEEEEE

Thank youuuuu

@Laine - Disappoint because you're bashing on my favorite beverage

Maybe a little bashing. I also don't like chocolate ice cream, tomatoes, oranges (they make my skin break out), cherries, watermelon, and an assortment of other random things including people and going outside.

This plus bacon and anything smoked or grilled and you have listed my favorite things. Die, scum.

I LOVE BACON

Mostly the things I don't like are because of consistency or acidity. Thinks like oranges and tomatoes literally give me rashes. Anything too seedy also makes me squirmish

obviously crawling for town cred

I agree. I remember seeing a lot of his posts that I really liked while I was powering through D1 of the Star Wars game. Going back to the progression on BFG I don't really see how the observation she made that he's town reading her for would come exclusively from a vlllager. We were only a few pages into the game at that point so BFG fact checking his reason for reading me wouldn't be hard to do as either alignment. Now he's saying something about how he knew the observation was false (so by proxy so was his read on me?) but he left it anyway to see who would bite. Doesn't make a ton of sense to me and from what I've seen he's typically very astute. Idk - maybe he can clear this up a bit.

I don't know him well enough to say he's a slow starter either and I can't fault him too heavily for being off topic as a lot of us have been but again I think he's missed some talking points when they were available.

Agree with a lot of this.

goodmorning all *has coffee and distributes where necessary*

Alanna: i tend to ping all the time, it has gotten me mislynched quite a few times. But it's how i play. If someone townreads me D1, that player is suspicious to me.

BFG: Happy to see you! Very nice entrance. I noticed you saw me mentioning Verb and Pral and me not wanting to lynch them. I don't, they need to play first. As far as lynching goes: the prime suspect would give most information, and personally i don't feel like there's a lot of diffirence between lynching a likely wolf and an infolynch. After all: you lynch suspects to get to a wolf, all the time.

Dice: wow, didn't think you would be in. and some post it is.... interesting.

But what are your opinions on Hallia or me? (agree on Laine )

I didn't really have an opinion at the time, just stating things I had noticed along the way.

You seem okay now :)

Still null on Hallia until she posts more.

Thane already getting BFG and me mixed up ITT?

Just a light fos for now Thane, give me some good reads?
