I'm looking for the AJ post on Leelou and came across this:

Clov is a weird mafia kill imo - if I had to guess I may lean towards him being a vig kill for how he ran interference to Leelou's wagon yesterday and someone was feeling ballsy with their hero shot.

 

Darthe looks to be jan'd, so [v]I'd assume mafia thought he was a PR that they now have info on that won't be CC'd later on.[/b]

What makes you think the scum would know Darthe's role if he was janitored? I've only been on a team with a janitor once [i think on MS] and we weren't given info.

Usually the way I've seen it on DM, the mafia gets the report.  Presumably because Nolder popularized Janitor and took the mechanics from EM.  I'd bet on it this game.

Ok, here's my problem.

 

If Yates and Verbal land scum together, don't you think they would be super stoked about it?

 

I mean, two of the five best players in this game, right?  Imagine the damage they could do.

 

So maybe they're both pressed for time and can't go all in on it.  But do you really, honestly think that they would lurk their way through and let Leelou run the show?

 

not sure what's up with yates, but verbal seems kind of strapped. i don't think their activity is really alignment indicative. i think their posts and the arguments they use and the fluff and the angles taken might.

 

When verbal questions me over changing my mind on eldrick, I clearly don't care, but he pays way too much attention to something really small, over thinking it probably in an effort to get me into the poe if i responded badly. Even if he's not scum, in some worlds that's what he was trying to do.

 

As for yates, he tries to get darthe into the poe by piggy-backing dice's train on durin and nitpicking turin's question. If yates is doing more than just that then it's not so bad, because yates is capable of this sort of logic, but if he's only tunneling on turin over that small detail, then i'm going to have a problem with it.

I'm just gonna post as I read because I am basically seeing all of this stuff for the first time but with the added advantage of a wolf flip already on the table. So far I'm through pg 12 - 10% done folks. I'm gonna spoiler each post as I make them, but please take the time to read since I am putting forth the effort.

 

 

 

 

I'll follow up tomorrow. Essentially I think attacking Seph like AJ has been isn't productive, and I don't really see a reason why town him or town wombat would find it acceptable to assume someone who is essentially null from what I can tell, is scum. I don't like the approach. I actually wanted to hear why AJ was reading Dice town, but AJ changed the topic and Seph didn't press AJ far as I know.

 

I will probably be taking seph's side in this unless I think Seph is a wolf later. Right now I'm somewhere between null and town on him.

 

Pretty simple actually. Dice isn't some enigma that you need to look at sideways to figure out. Is his tone clear? Is it direct? Does his voice have conviction? Easy signs to look for - his cases don't need to be precise or articulate to clear him imo. Even so - Seph voting Dice for voting his 'peek' is bad even if the peek was real. Having pre-knowledge of Darthe's alignment doesn't make Dice a wolf for voting him and I think Dice's vote fits extremely well into his town game. That sort of stuff doesn't fly with him.

 

AwombyJ - don't like the tunnelling on Seph, AJ looked like he was looking for an excuse to vote Seph w/w?

 

Tunneling? I voted him literally minutes after his OP because I didn't like it. The stuff about the Gods game had nothing to do about it - I was just stating a fact that I wouldn't be very lenient with him this game. His subsequent posts also didn't look great to me. This is the beginning of the 'tunnel' narrative after Sili commented on it, it'll come up again later.

HoC wasn't the game, but no, I'm not really holding a grudge. Think of it more as stern big brother treatment because I recognize that Seph could develop into a very good player with some more notches on his belt.

 

@ Zander - my first reaction to Seph and his peek is that he was trying to act like some of the other top guys here having seen it being done, I thought he was quite new to Mafia...the tunnel info I didn't like because too many times I have seen this on day 1 and ended in disaster...not everyone had come into the thread. It was Seph's in insistance that he knows Durin is town that pings me more.

The w/w bit had a questionable fore as it was a thought that crossed my mind. I felt AJ trying to find an excuse to vote Seph, he might do that if he was a wolf partner or thought that Seph had a role, hence the question mark.

Seems like you are trying to save face here. Your first post looks like you came in and didn't read, but posted anyways. Then you stuck around a bit and posted saying you are current.

Sooh has a bland opening post. Don't like her mentioning of pulling a Heart but not saying anything. Means that she at least glanced at the thread but has nothing to add.

The comment about hating CS claiming but pegging him town is pretty clearing imo. Bank on that. Even without reading the rest of the thread I would probably bet at this point none of Leelou's WTL in the last sentence are wolf partners. So Heart, Sooh and Seph prob clear.

 

The thing you should pay most attention to is her nulls imo. Scum like to do this because they recognize they can't just ignore their partners but tend to try and say little about them. Food for thought moving forward.

He had a somewhat plausible explanation, but I'm still bothered by his approach to AJ/Seph.  And unlike others, I don't really care that much about his post volume because he seems to be sitting back to me.

Bold is spot on but why did you make the underlined a generic "scum do this" statement? This is Leelou. Leelou puts her buddies in the nulls or bottom of her "Town lean" lists. Most importantly, though, her strong Town reads are almost ALWAYS Town. She's a buddier.

 

So her last reads list looked like this:

I am going to [unvote] for now. I feel slightly better about Heart, not thrilled with her vote though and a few of her reasonings. I want to mull over my scum leans before voting again.

 

Basically, anyone in dark green is spewed Town.

 

I'll look at her interactions during catch up to see which of her scum reads look fake and which look like mislynch attempts but at least one of the scum leans will be a buddy. Especially as a GF.
