That all being said, people rely too much on village power role claims- if you make the lynch competitive and I do swing, it will be more informative than a scanning power ever would be.

I hate seers and I hate metagaming. I could have used the power on people I know, but that's distasteful to me.

 

Random.org is the fairest way to handle N1 seer actions. I wouldn't get another scan until N4, and I doubt I live that long.

@Verb, no I was saying before this I was too-ing and fr-oing between town and mafia of you, in this, at the moment I see it as you trying to get a claim from a possible PR, so if you go doen anyway you can give team mates some good info at the same time. But I'm not voting on that alone, I want to have a good look at both of you before I decide. 

 

@AJ - haven't said anything about Tina, accept she was the one pushing, doesn't mean anything on it's own.

It's not how I play seer on N1. I prefer to play without a seer but there's little I can do about being one.

 

I'd avoid using the power given I have options, but it makes no sense at all:

 

Protection is far more useful later in the game, and I wouldn't roleblock N1 because it's vastly more likely to block a village power than a scum one that early.

 

I used random.org on the seer check because I didn't care what the result would be and I wanted to save the more useful powers for N2 onward.

I have an array of abilities which I can use at night, the first night I used a 2x scanning power on Thane and Krak, which is why I am defending them.

 

I can also do a 2x protect power, which I can use, or a 2x roleblock power. At the end of using those on three nights, I can return to using the scan, or any power that I did not use the previous night.

 

I do not have a red scan on Verbal, to be honest. I was saying that I did for reactions.

 

If I said that I did have a red scan on Verbal, I could get him lynched today, and people would follow me. Sorry, I don't, and if I were to try to be a hero and get Verbal lynched based on such a lie, and he were to be a villager, I'd have to be the lynch the next day.

 

There were better choices for the gladiator challenge, but I understand using it against someone on your own wagon.

Why do you believe you are better for the town dead, that anything a scan could give (other than you might not make night 4). I see two protect roles and two blocker roles quite useful. Can you not protect yourself? (although this is null question if there is a roleblocker out there)

I despise cops. My policy is to randomize any N1 scan, never ever ever ever would I use a scan based on my own biases or suspicions on night one. It's despicable to me because everyone uses cops as a crutch. I prefer hunting scums on my own merits.

Use the vote record, don't just lynch based on claims. Anyone can fake a claim. I could be faking my claim, I could be vanilla townie.

I call it cowardly. But people do what they do and people are free to play the role legally if they choose to do so. It's not their fault game designers put them in their games.

 

I just hate N1 scans- you only get one chance to silence the cop before you're outed. And if he's protected, it's all over.
