Ha, xpost.  I'm thinking the same thing........but w/w.

TBF - you aren't very good at reading Town Yates...

Oh please, because I thought you were scum after D1 in a game with totally new people (for you)?  Yeah, okay.

When you pressed me on it, I doubled down in case I was correct in my guess and would rub it in your face mercilessly.

That you're harping on this is really bothering me from a game standpoint.

Now answer my question please.

Wrong answer, Yates.

Then you are looking at the wrong answer sheet. It's the right answer because it happens to be the case. I could make something up for you if you would like? But I'll put it in spoilers along with a warning that the post does not reflect my actual opinions. LMK?

No, Yates. I'd like your actual thoughts as to how you got from he's scummy and an independent read from EP's soft claim to pulling info out of him like you are pulling teeth.

I can't believe I'm going to say this but I am getting good townie vibes from Leelou, I never get good townie vibes from Leelou. (Though to be fair I don't think I can name a game where I've ever found out she was town.) I don't like Yates specifically avoiding giving a defining answer to Leelou's question. There are only 3 answers:

1: Yes you think he's scummy

2: you think he is null

3: you think he's town

(however the convenient turn on his approach to Zander ALL came after I called him out for liking Tina's case on Zander after his post where he came to the conclusion that I was hinting Mason with Zander.)

Harping? Or rubbing it IN YOUR FACE?

Suck it, Verb. SUCK IT!!!

???

That's my point? I'm trying to pull info out of him so I can understand what he's thinking. Like, I didn't see why he would think Tina was scummy outside of OMGUS, for example. However, I can see where he thought she was demonstrating cognitive dissonance with regards to the bandwagon angle. So even if I disagree with his read, I at least have something to work with. I'm trying to go a couple of layers deeper but I'm still waiting for him to respond.

Yes, but until you decided to pull info out of him, you had him as scummy. So what made you decide that you want to peel him like an onion?

So tomato/tomahto is your defense here? Okay.

The problem with this argument is your assertion that there's anything there to "defend." I will agree that you are certainly attempting to "SPIN" the facts to fit your narrative. This is me offering YOU an E-tool. You will either recognize the process or you will double down on your spin. I don't really care because at some point you will be the one answering for this.
That's a bridge that I'll cross when it comes time for it. You can characterize my points as spinning but isn't that what casing is? It's me telling you my interpretation of your actions. It then becomes your job to refute them or make me see things as you do.

Like I sort of cringed reading that.

I can't tell you why you do what you do. Instead of dodging the issue above, why don't you take a step back and take a look at the actual situation? Like... I have already asked Zander to do this since it centers on him but I offer you the same opportunity. Take a look at Tina's post 550 and 551 and tell me what is NOT villagery about it.
What am I dodging? You asked me why I thought you as scum would interact with Tina in that manner and I explained. Again, you're referring back to her posts which I have addressed both on my own and with you. Again, I think the conclusion is readily apparent and not a hard one to come to regardless of which side you're playing on. I agree the posts are good but I also brought up the fact that you did something similar earlier in the game that sort of reinforces my thought that you might just be trying to buddy her. I'll pull those up in a bit to show the context of them.

Speaking of Pizza I have noticed you guys kind of mentioning each other but not really doing anything. What is your opinion of his last series of posts? Of him in general?

He isn't playing with me. And it's making me sad.
That's not really an opinion. I want to know what you think it means about him.

This is the first attempt you seem to have made to actually make a serious case on someone. You haven't made a single observation this game that can't come from TMI AJ.

Okay. You're correct in saying that this is mostly the first time I've tried to make a serious case on someone besides my vote on Tina. I've been busy interacting though and pointing out things as they came to me. Feel free to look at my filter in context of the thread flow and tell me where you think my observations could come from TMI. As I stated last night I have been shoring up my other reads and I felt like this was a good direction for me to move in.

How does our current lack of large wagons in any way inform my opinion that you are making stuff up with regards to your assertion that a solitary vote less than 1/2 way through the game day is somehow a throw away vote? That's an amateurish statement that has precisely zero basis in evidentiary reality. Feel free to go back through however many games you would like to see what percentage of slanker votes/activity prod votes were made by scum versus Town. I'd wait but I don't think you even need to go through that process to recognize that it is MORE OFTEN THAN NOT a vote by Town. So the fundamental premise of your argument seems fabricated wrt this point. That's the only "fakeness" I see in this argument.

You're kind of ducking the point here. For one, the motive for voting Alot is an extremely easy line to take for you as scum because it carries a "pro town" implication that you're trying to get him to get more involved. In a vacuum what you say is correct. But given the context of other statements you have made such as Seph being a lock wolf and EP being a good wagon for you to end up on Alot for this reason is pretty weak. Hence why I used the term throw away.

I just said I wasn't, you aren't reading my posts ;.;

No. Have you said anything worth reading yet?

Obviously I wanted to see if MAYBE you had continued catching up... My bad for expecting players in the game to play the game, I guess.

So what made you decide that you want to peel him like an onion?

Couple of things. First being that he was around and second being that he had a case on someone that I could actually explore with a ginsu.

I still think you might be scum and just scumhunting another scum in AJ.  At this point, I would probably be ok with either of you dying*.

I started at the beginning of the game but ended up skipping ahead before EOD1, not too long after Pizza made his grandious entrance actually. I didn't actually start to follow it in earnest until around the later part of the game when you had the Cop CC battle going on.

Meh. Not as helpful as I was hoping. I feel like this is an easy enough conclusion to arrive at:

-he has similar enough tone and way of making reads to the champions game that i wasn't going to fos him yet.

And I feel like the people in this game that should recognize this fact are you, Pizza, Sili, Cory, Sooh, Seph, Cass, and Tress. Maybe Verb but Verb thought I was scum in that game so I don't think he was actually reading... But that's 7 slots worth of Town reads and two of those seven are voting for me. I'm not sure what to make of that.

I did read a good portion of D1 and most notably the difference I am seeing here is your approach. In the Champs game you can in immediately and threw your vote down on q_q. Fast and furious like.

I don't feel that same sort of pressure here despite you taking notable stances on several players. Which kind of brings me back to your vote on Alot and why I have issue with it.

Oh Seph...

*tsk tsk tsk*

this thunderdoming has gotten to a point of repetitiveness, and makes it difficult to read others.

You are pretty much a lock wolf at this point. That's one of those statements that scum always thinks sounds Towny but pretty much never comes from Town...

Yates, do you not feel this way anymore?

That's not really an opinion. I want to know what you think it means about him.

How am I supposed to form an opinion on someone that isn't playing is my question to you. You are acting like I *should* have an opinion. I'm telling you why I don't.

For one, the motive for voting Alot is an extremely easy line to take for you as scum because it carries a "pro town" implication that you're trying to get him to get more involved. Conversely, who cares about my vote on Alot? Maybe, Alot?

In a vacuum what I say is correct. In the context of this game what I'm saying is correct. A fact is a fact, dude.

As far as me calling Seph a "lock wolf" goes? I think my lack of vote speaks volumes about how earnest I was being. Why do you think I would make a statement like that then not vote if I *actually* thought he was a lock wolf? I had a shockingly similar conversation a few days ago after voting for someone in my "never lynch" pile on day 1. It struck me as a really stupid point then and it strikes me as an equally stupid point now. You aren't a noob. You know how this game is played. Figure it out.

Interesting.  Considering he said seph was lock scum, and in your quote there he's saying seph is town......I'm confused.

Are you of the opinion Scum Yates may have found a member of the other scum team? I would be okay with you voting with me today if you *actually* think AJ is scum. Then the onus would be on me/our PR's to figure out my alignment by mid day 2. And I like those odds.

I would just like to say, for post game ribbing, you are so way off you may as well be on another planet. And if you are Town you will cry when I flip.

The funniest thing about all this is that you all are just assuming I'm joking about being the Flying Pumpkin because "lol Yates." Has it ever crossed your mind I have been fak claiming Flying Pumpkin for the day Darthe finally pays up on a debt? Just a thought...

Both, I think.  But that is not alignment indicative imo.
