Yates, can you talk to me about Thane?  You always say you can read him pretty well.  I had him as a middle town read following D1, and probably about a lower town read now. His notes looked pretty genuine to me, pretty much what I would expect from Thane. I didn't love his earlier reads, but that's mainly because I think Darthe was higher than he probably ought to have been, and I feel like MC was pretty obvious town from D1.  I'm pretty sure his reads were before she claimed vig, but based just on the game, not sure null was appropriate.

 

 

Anybody else that wants to chime in, feel free.

What I can tell you about Town Thane is that he is typically very active and posts freely. I agree that his early reads lists looked like typical Town Thane. He didn't just play it safe and go with Town consensus. Really, I just want to see him post more. If I don't see an uptick in activity I might become a lot more suspect. He's probably a lesser target in my current POE.

 

Right now, I'm just trying to figure out if the scum is in you, Barm, or Darthe on the Lily wagon.

I'm leaving my vote on Darthe though, because the his lynch not going through while he was at L-1(Well, L-2 except for a 40 min window, but still close) is a valid point towards him being scum.

You can't just pick a reason and vote me for it, can you?

 

Should I be the one to die I'd lynch Barm and Eldrick and from there I think Leelou or Sili.

So elephant in the room question - what do we want to do with the survivor? Lynch him now or later? 

 

I could also switch out Yates and/or Darthe with Barm and/or Thane. 

I love your take on that. I tend to not trust survivor claims.

 

What exactly is my take on that? I just didn't see him flat out say survivor when I was catching up this morning, but it seems to be heavily implied. 

 

I agree on your take of lynching a survivor, claimed or implied. I support a lynch like that, as I don't trust survivors. Too easy to fake claim.

For the record, you're not wrong about it being easy to fake claim; I'm just inclined to believe Dice is telling the truth in this case.  It's in the role list, and we know he's telling the truth about not being a serial killer.  He could be mafia, but he did offer up that piece about Darthe and I both being right shortly after I made the post.  He would have had enough time to talk it over in scum chat, but I like that he didn't try to fight it or accuse me of being wrong.

 

It's also worth noting that the role list says the seer will get the targeted player's alignment.  If he's mafia and genuinely believed I copped him, I wouldn't have gotten "not town" or something else ambiguous like that - I would have gotten a report that said "mafia".  So the reaction seems appropriate IMO.

Okay, reread. That does make sense then. I think I missed the 10:27 post. If he is actually a survivor role, I'm okay with letting him live for the moment, as long as he's going to help town. I think we have more pressing matters to deal with this phase.
