Basically I think the Verbal kill points at Darthe and makes an easy bit of wifom for him to say "they've obviously framed me". Couple that with his generally scummy behavior in Day 1 (even Darthe admitted that all of the votes on him were valid) and I think he definitely needs to die. Bonus is getting rid of his nasty attitude towards DM mafia and the fact that it'll be an informative lynch towards the rest of the game.

@ NYN It seems to need to be pointed out that LILYS TRAIN DIDNT GO THRU EITHER.  if she hadnt been vigged would you be making the same claim on her?

 

I wasn't scum reading Lily by any means. She's always a scummy townie. I thought she was trying to put some effort into it and I took that as a good sign, which is why I wasn't voting her. Generally speaking I find it VERY unlikely that two competing townie trains would go to no lynch if scummies have anything to say in the matter. If you're asking me if the situation was reversed... ie if Darthe flipped town and she was unknown if I would have felt the same? Yes. If you're asking me if they were both unknowns would I be reaching the same conclusion? Not really. Because I had no guarantee what Lily's alignment was. You gotta have some basis to work on. 

 

Now Darthe's train was closer than Lily's to a lynch. I think the closer she got was L-3 and the closer he got was L-1. He would have been easier to get rid of as numbers go. After all scum want to get rid of townies. It doesn't really matter who it is. If I had to guess, I'd say they couldn't swing Lily's lynch since some of them were already on her. Which again leads me to my question... why not just hammer Darthe and secure a townie lynch? He was the easier choice. 

 

You can agree to disagree with the above. That's fine. But considering he's been stinking up the place since the game started I feel secure in my read of him. The whole no lynch on D1 is just the cherry on the top.

How does him not being caught up with the thread have anything to do with him claiming?  I mean, he read enough to realize his train was lynching. At least enough to throw a preservation vote on Lily even though he stated earlier that he had no intention to vote her. But yeah... not claiming cause he wasn't caught up makes a ton of sense lol

I notice you are only focussing on PART of what he said.

 

He also said it would have made no difference. And i can see how He in the position he was in would think that...ive thought the same thing at times when im getting run up.

It wouldn't have made much of a difference?  Let me put it simply. A townie who is going to die anyhow has nothing to hide. A scummy does.

I don't know why Lily didn't claim. It was possible she wasn't around considering her schedule. At the same time.... it's common to claim when you're at L-2 and she didn't make it that far. 

 

Anyways, this is more of a 'matter of opinion' discussion more than anything. If I'm around when I'm being run up as a townie, I'd always choose to claim.
