Except this (bold). I fundamentally disagree. Good, clear communication is the key for Town, in my mind. If everybody Town was more aware of how other Town were understanding them/where wires were getting crossed, and made the effort to explain, there would be less misunderstanding, less mislynching, more killing Wolf.

 

Anyway, hold that thought, let's get back to hunting Wolves. I'll try and be more succinct from here.

Irt Rags - yeah I don't like his inactivity either, and lack of voting all game, but ehhhh I liked his Yates spew analysis. Showed WIM, and it came at a time when scum!Kivam kept trying to derail discussion back to NA speculation.

 

Also need to go through Kivam and Krak spew, I don't think anyone has in full yet today and there are likely some valuable gems there. Will prob do so tomorrow night at work

Talking about SK, well, anyone I mentioned as town in the posts above can actually be the SK, including Hally. I would say that the SK play would be like a townie, except for the fact that he/she would want to be a bit scummy to prevent a NK on him/her (again depends on whether he/she has taken GF or BPV). Still, that is a very hard thing to do and don't think it would be easy to catch someone based on this. 

Currently, I would say Nyn/Dice could fit that role.

No matter how hard you're trying to "be clear", it won't always get someone to read you as town. There are ALWAYS two sides to every coin in mafia.

 

So put simply, it is DEFINITELY protown to just forget about trying to prove to everyone how town you are, and instead let them decide that for themselves while you try and find scum

 

This is why there's always so much talk about if someone's push on someone looks "genuine" or not- even if you're making a case on someone that ends up being town, if you seem truly committed to it and it doesn't look fake, people can think you're likely town solely for your committment to your reads and willingness to follow through on them.

 

WAY better than just yelling at everyone "I'm town! Look how town I am! Don't misunderstand me when I say I'm town!"

I hate that im up right now. Had a nightmare which was creepy as fug but anyhow. Des in your last WOT you said me instead of dice in a post where you quoted Dice ticked about Hally being almost totally clear.

Well, caught up now.

 

Hally is clearly not the scum because of Wombie peek. Does anything point to her being SK?

 

Andrej was the counter-wagon to kivam and Kivam tried to push his train as an alternative. That makes me think that AJ is kind of cleared so far. Makes me think Kiv was trying to create fake distance?

 

Darthe too has been focused on Yates on D1 and Kivam on D2. While I know Darthe likes to bus his teammates, trying to distance both of them on consecutive days is a bit too much to believe. For now, Darthe is out of contention.

 

Des/Csarmi is more of a tone read - from both of them. Csarmi is in his scum hunting meta and Des has been quite active throughout the game. His D2 posts against Kivam were pretty good and looked genuine. Good for now.

 

Nyn also seems to be putting a good effort but she has been off her targets the entire game. Went after me on D2 initially for not-so-great reasons and then after verb/barm (which I was fine with because I also had the same reads). But her tone seems genuine and am putting her higher in the list.

 

Tress has the fact that Yates missed her off his reads list. With the info and limited players right now, this may not be a strong reason after all. Her D1 posts were all buddying Des and going after the lead wagon Sili. That makes her slot iffy.

 

Dice's posts today look forced. Really forced. Like he said something by mistake and trying to justify it using whatever means necessary. He was the "seer cover" of Yates, which I thought was town, but is basically a wifom now.

 

Cass has been fine but for her D1 vote on yates which came out of nowhere. That looked like distancing when I was catching up with the game. Still, she seems excited to play the game and she is being mentored by monstr. So, I can give her a benefit of doubt.

 

I never liked Thane posts on D1 and D2 and all he did was tunnel on me. D3 posts, he seems very confused but I am not sure whether it is genuine or faked. Thane has played enough games not to get confused by some simple play. And, that is why I am thinking he is faking it a bit here. mind meld on this I have no idea what Rags has done so far. Putting him all the way down for that

 

 

Good with either Rags or Thane today and I am quite sure that's where the last scum is.

As for Rags, this is certainly underwhelming for him to be sure, but I think there are just better candidates today regardless.

 

Def think you're wrong on Nyn tho. She COULD be SK playing a heck of a towny-looking game, but eh...

 

Thing is, imo PLENTY of people COULD be SK in this game.

 

Screw trying to find the SK today. Let's find last mafioso, will be MUCH easier, and whether we lynch SK or last mafioso, we still remove a scum-controlled NK.

 

So nab last wilf, then let vig power help narrow the field down moar. Tomorrow we start exploring best candidates for SK

Darthe's maths post (uh look how good we stand) rang some alarm bells for me so tinfoiling there (especially on him being SK) and I don't like the Nyn vs Verb conversation on Nyn's part (especially her calling Verb on liar)... and basically her train pushes.

 

These are just hunches and I posted them on QT too - Des will incorporate them or whatever.

As for what I was talking about with Wombat earlier - what was off to me is that no one seemed to call me out on me being on my wolf activity levels. I'd have expected at least a few players to comment on that.

I don't really understand why you're looking at if I was wrong or right when the important part is intent, reasons, putting in the work to back up my reads. Whether you agreed with me or whether I was right or not is less important in my opinion. I dont look for that when I look into people. Just like Tress. It wasn't the placement in her read list that bugged me or if her reads were right in retrospect. It's her flimsy reasons as if she pulled those reads out of no where and didnt really back up any of them with anything substentual.

Im still feeling iffy about Rags. if his town and scum game is identical then him making good post is a given in either alingment. I think his slank levels are reaching absurdity levels. And I still really don't like Kivam referring to him being good at faking tone. They never played together before sohe has no experience reading him..... seems off.

And just so I can scratch this itch.... because i think you're not only using a bogus reason to be suspicious of me... but that you're also stretching the truth....why are you making it seem like I was OH SO wrong?

 

I was wrong about Verbram. True. Pral reassuring that I'm wrong about him means jack until I see a flip. I rightfully townread Sili. I rightfully townread Leelou. I had Wombat in my town pile since early on. I said I had a good feeling about Stelio.

Once was when he said the amout of memes he posts isn't alignment indicative but then openly admitting he did drown the game thread with memes while bring des' scumbro.

 

Srcond time was him claiming he didnt respond to Thane's comment of him and you being scummies together becausr he skimmed and missed it. And in further exchange saying he DID read it but decided not to answer. I quoted all if this. Came out of the horse's mouth.

 

Why did Verbal say these things now that we know his flip? no clue. But it made him look really bad at the time.
