I feel confident enough in my read on Tomcat/Wombat to say people should sheep it. Nyn if you missed the humor of my post then that's more on you than anything.

 

I'm willing to say that Womby would be peeked/vigged N1 if the option were in my hands.

 

Also me disagreeing with your reads doesn't make me narrow minded. I've obviously evaluated them personally if I can offer an opinion that I think you are just wrong. It's not an attempt to make you lose confidence, I simply just don't agree.

 

Overall I think you're failing to read me properly. As well as other players, fwiw.

 

The only person in your "solve" I think is likely to flip as a wolf is Hallia. And even that read could be wrong basically frankly reading Hallia is ~futile.

If his case on Wombat is that rock solid then he shouldn't need to tell us o trust him and Tom and instruct us to sheep them. The case should stand by it's own merits and people should be drawn to vote there without him needing to nudge everyone in that direction.

Sili, being that you're unfamiliar with most of these players, my advice is to try and not rely on meta that much. I don't really play often enough to be very familiar with people's metas either, and I dislike relying much on what someone tells me about other players' metas.

 

I kind of feel like there's a little too much talk about meta around here anyway.

 

I have now typed "meta" so many times that it's lost all meaning to me lol.

 

 

I'm caught through page 27, mostly just need to read through all Despo's reaction posts now :P Some thoughts:

 

I'm not liking Hallia, mostly gut feeling. I have a tendency to not like Hallia though (I mean, I like her, but her posts often seem scummy to me :D). I mostly didn't like how she made sure to reiterate that she wasn't "rustled" after several people pointed out AJ had turned up before she voted him (when she'd said he'd turned up after).

 

There's a lot I'm not liking on csarmi, too. He sheeps Clov's reasoning for voting Leelou (though Clov's reasons weren't really clear), then when pushed about it, changes tack and backs off Leelou. Shortly after Nyn posts her suspicions about him, he makes sure to say that he likes Nyn so far this game - comes off to me like he's making sure he doesn't get defensive at her.

 

I also didn't like - and I don't really mean it seems scummy, I just mean I don't like it, especially if he's town - that he seems to think he should be obviously town to everyone just because he says so. I have played with him before, but not really in a while - I certainly have no idea what his town game looks like.

 

People that seem to be talking sense so far - Clov, Wombat, Nyn

 

These two things clash in my head.

Hallia, your reasoning for voting in this game has been... easy? Thin? Hard to understand? Where are the poignant insights and meta reads that I expect of you?

 

I've played a lot of mafia games and I don't think I've ever seen the "aha you contradicted yourself!" tell pay scum dividends. There ARE good reasons for voting players in this game, but this isn't one.

 

 

You guys should just trust me and Tomcat and consolidate on Wombat.

I'd be willing.  His responses haven't been quite up to par.

I wouldn't rule out w/w in this situation because frankly I feel if Hallia is a wolf this game she's been bad enough that bussing would be ~acceptable.

It's a massive over reaction to minimal pressure early in the game.  I don't know what that means towards his alignment.  Overall though, I have him as mafia right now.  I thought Tom's question regarding my point was perfectly valid, and then when he got resistance to the push, he said he "remembered wrong" - she had, in fact, been confident this game.  

 

All of that's plausible, but then when I ask for examples, he told me to go back and look for myself.

Tom I have been considering your comment about Despot/Thane being w/w.

 

I want to give Despot a soft villa lean.

 

Not to discredit your observation, but I think part of it comes to meta.

 

Despot generally speaks in absolutes (hence confident) and Thane may have genuinely been non-threatened because it was like page ~5 of the game and didn't see Despot as a legitimate threat at that point because he was the only vote on Thane's slot.

 

Doesn't clear either, but I'm trying to consider from all angles here.
