Well what do you suggest we do?

Lynch Thane - let Clov get resolved via NA.

I'm a bit tired of being talked out of my strongest scum reads and CFDing onto a villager and then having people tinfoil on me for the rest of the game because I didn't lynch scum D1. You vote for Thane if you want to. I'm not unvoting Clov until I see substantial improvement. I told him what I want; let's see if he delivers.

I'll do you one better; if we don't see scum flips by D2/D3 and Clov hasn't started Towning up the joint? I will join you in the Clov lynch mob.

You're the serpent and my vote is the apple. I'm not hungry.

Meh. Fair enough. I'm not sold on Clov Town yet either. It wouldn't break my heart to see an alignment flip on Clov. I just don't want to be wrong on him more than I don't want to be wrong on Thane.

Party in San Diego and I wasn't invited

scum!

Hallia don't do those wolfy pop ins.

I might actually have to put aside my fear of being wrong on you and actually kill you this game.

I'm here AJ, get @ me

I'd rather you like... do something.

Another nice little exchange.

Thread feels villagery this morning.

In the midst of the spam Tommy wrote the above.  Not sure how it felt villagery when it was a spamfest.

I'm actually going to go back and read through the first 10 pages to see this whole thing in context, but I don't think this is as good a point as people are making it out to be.

Could simply be that Hallia is a wolf and knows wolves were posting at this point

Up through page 20, and I straight up have no idea what I was on about, I think this is the only explanation:

A LIKELY STORY

I've had 5 cups of coffee in two hours.

and mobile posting.  I shouldn't do it ever.  I blow at looking back to double check facts, and I have the memory of a goldfish.

Guilty conscious imo

"Oh, ignore all that weird and scummy stuff I did at the beginning of the game. I had too much coffee guyz LOL"

It's a massive over reaction to minimal pressure early in the game. I don't know what that means towards his alignment. Overall though, I have him as mafia right now. I thought Tom's question regarding my point was perfectly valid, and then when he got resistance to the push, he said he "remembered wrong" - she had, in fact, been confident this game.

All of that's plausible, but then when I ask for examples, he told me to go back and look for myself.

This post about Salami is bizarre.

Clov, when I think about you and how you've approached this game, I think of posts like this. You come across as afraid to take stances until you know how the thread is flowing... and even when you do case someone, it reads totally garbled like the above.

If you want me to reconsider then you'll have to make a pretty convincing case for why we should lynch someone over you. And I don't mean semantics arguments or wishy washy "this looks good but this looks bad" type cases. I want you to really sink your teeth into someone and I want you to stake your life on them flipping scum. When I see that level of involvement and passion and find it to be a convincing argument I will make a serious effort to read your case without being colored by the idea that you're scum. Two strong scum cases would be best. If you can find a plausible link between the two, even better.

But you have to not sound like a weasel.

In your opinion, how far off is Clov from his normal tone in this respect.  He seems to me like the kind of guy who likes to look at all the angles.  That can read as wishy-washy to a guy like you sometimes.

Take Verb and I out and that isn't a terrible list. Though I'm pretty sure the SP slot is about to be resolved. Maybe Pral as well.

You're town reading Verbal?

Dude what do I really need to continue harping on ITT? You want some commentary on Hallia? Look through my ISO for something other than what fits into your confbias narrative where I called her out for every single little wolfy thing she did. Parking her vote on me as potentially a 'joke vote' cover on around pg 14. Fail logic with me. Fail logic with Alanna. Wolfy pop ins. Large absences from the game. Lazy/sheep votes. She's got cleared because what - she made an 'attempt' to make constructive posts when she was catching heat?

Super villagery dude.

I've said my piece on Thane. Spaceballs game basically proved I read him pretty badly. I think you're a villager and you obviously seemed convinced so I'm comfortable sheeping my town reads D1. Same goes with Tommy irt Clov even though I have said before I think Clov could be a villager too.

Love this tone.

This was my thought initially as well. Then I started thinking, if I were scum I'd probably have a narrative in my head. Do you think scum Hally plays with a narrative or posts something like this? This is something I'm actually asking myself.

If I was sheeping I would have pushed verb and thane right away.

But I didn't.

Why is that?

Because I'm not a [redacted] follower.  Now get your dirty mitts off me and let your suspicions ride the coastline, somewhere else.

@Wombat: I'm not the GOAT Clov reader but he has one overwhelming villager tell: confidence. He's always right, even if he's wrong he's right. It's just part of his personality. Things are very cut and dry to him in ways that I think only he understands, and that hubris is really apparent when he's a villager. It's lacking here. Here he reads weasely. He's made several posts out of his town range with bizarre phrasing, insincerity, and hedging; but most importantly the lack of confidence. After the way he weakly FoS'd me tonight, as if he had to talk himself into finding m suspicious, he's only looking more and more full of it.

You probably shouldn't be.

Hallia has fooled many'a people before as scum.

Woah. No I am not. I was thinking of the other game. Wow.

I also agree pretty strongly with Alanna that the reason Hallia is suddenly 'cleared' isn't that good.

I'm gonna go find it actually and tear that ish apart next.

Despot, bro. You should probably feel bad about yourself for tinfoiling like this on me.

I don't even care if you're right about Thane at this point.

How confident are you that Des is town?

I think Clov's play makes more sense as scum than Thane's play does.

But you think one of them is scum regardless?

I'm not gonna say if one is a villager the other has to be a wolf but there should be at least one wolf in there based on POE and the village circle. I'm trusting my bad vibes, Des is trusting his, let's see who wins. Other than Clov and Thane I would guess wolves are most likely in the low profile group. Pick two of Hallia/Yourself/Puppets and a follower like Sili or Verb and that's probably the whole list of lunchables.

80% probably

I just think he's starting to get into his village wrecking mode where he gets so convinced of his own reads that he won't concede to anything else and will tunnel townies on Days when wolves need to get lynched.
