It's called confirmation bias. Scum will use it in an attempt to support a narrative. Villagers use it when tunneling. It's a mostly null tell.

Tommy is mafia. Hallia supports tommy. Hallia is mafia. Hallia no longer supports tommy. Hallia is no longer mafia in my mind. It's simple logic.

 

It's only logic if/when Tommy flips mafia, though.  So you would have a logical argument IF that event were to occur.  If Tommy flips Town, the foundation of your entire premise is proven false and the logic falls down.  That's why this is considered a logical fallacy.

CS/Hallia are town.

Yates is mafia. This is a lean.

AJ is mafia. I think he is trying to help arsis stay away from the lead with his recent vote jumps. Why the Darthe vote?

Arsis is mafia. Agree with slender and Darthe about their thoughts.

SP is town. I think he is a setup lynch.

Krak is town. Really null and needs to post more.

Manbat is town. This is a lean. I have no bad comments for him.

Vos is mafia. Really didn't like that post.

Darthe is town. Same as manbat.

Tsb is town. Null actually. He needs to get back in the game. He knows about it so play.

TI is town.

Pralaya is town. This is a lean. He needs to get caught up or some semblance thereof.

Slender is town. I feel good about what he has said so far.

Dice is town. This is also a lean but fairly solid.

TG/Meri is mafia. I gave my reason already.

Despo is mafia.

TomTress is mafia. This is a lean. Tress made an odd comment in her read on us. Something like wanting us to spend more time on something other than TG. I don't see how that post comes from a townie that thinks I'm mafia.

To avoid ANOTHER semantic argument - especially this late in the day - he is calling your "mistakes" lies. You two are the only ones that should/would know if your statements actually were mistakes or if they were designed lies to further your scum plot.

I hate the "you're treating me like town when you called me scum so you must be scum yourself!" argument. Guess what? We dont know. I don't know your alignment. Tress doesn't either. You might be scum or you might be town. Until I know, making the kind of premature associations I'm chiding Arsis for is just stupid.

 

So don't use that as a reason to FOS someone. Des uses it too and it drives me crazy. It's not scummy, if anything it's the opposite.
