Not to be overly nitpicky here but I'm going to be overly nitpicky. What did you mean by Town Miller? Why add the Town part? Have you been in games with a Scum Miller? I think they are just called Godfathers. *shrug*

Why did I point this out? My answer to Ithi:

It sticks out because it looks like someone being alignment sensitive. Town isn't typically all that concerned with being alignment sensitive.

It's not a stretch at all to think that most players would say Town Cop or Town Doc, etc.

Of course you would. That's my point. If you are a cop or doctor or vig or something like that, the Town modifier distinguishes you from the Scum versions. Miller doesn't have a modifier because it can only be one alignment. The point of that line of questioning is that it struck me as odd that someone would qualify "Miller" with "Town" and I wanted to see the thought process there. It's one of those things where it could be nothing or it could be one of those subtle things scum don't even know they are doing half the time. I've taken note of it and will be looking for more subtle indicators as the game progresses.

 

Why did I point this out? My answer to you is: read my answers to Ithi and AJ.

 

It also happens to be a tell that more than one person uses. So I guess I don't understand the confusion.

It's kinda like Yates point about your redundancy with the "Town" Miller thing. Scum are more self-conscious so will slip in little blurbs that town wouldn't.

Problem with WF games is they always have multiple scum factions and cults and other nonsense so it's not pure wolfing like in basic or vanilla games. You can still "scumhunt" opposing factions.

Last miller claim was mine. I was town on role madness. I wouldn't lock myself into a role like that as Mafia in my first post but I do know some players who are ballsy enough. I don't think its out of TG's range.

 

Having been in this game I can confirm, and I'm with my partner.  While I don't think it's necessarily the case on this one, I think TG is certainly capable enough to do so.

So is everyone specific food items like TG's claim? I am not.

Csarmi who was the miller claim that I pursued vigorously in a recent game was the one asking me the question. I specifically wanted to see what he would say when I leaned toward believing it. I got that response so there was no more point in holding back.

 

 

I'm not going to vote for tg. I just believe him. I think that tsb is the way to go today. He's scummy.

If tg gets vigged to clear the wifom over the Miller claim. I wouldn't be upset.

Has Arsis moved beyond this insistence that TSB is scummy and should be lynched yet? Because it's possible Arsis is scum and there's nobody wolfy enough to latch onto other than TSB.

 

 

Arsis, what difference is there between lynching TG and having him vigged to resolve any WIFOM created by his role? Either way he is dead.

cause we be town? yes your great case which I believe could be summed up as  "buzzwords" which was a misrep as buzzwords is a thing when there is no evidence to back a claim. I feel that it was quite clear that TG pushed at us, even claiming we were "confirmed wolves" but failed to back it up with his vote because he was so sure of TSB on a flimsy tone read that I beleive ALL of the people that have played with TSB previously are saying isn't a valid read. So yeah.

 

Arsis I have some questions about. Mainly I think he is tunnelled on TSB mostly for comments in pre game which might make him a bad guy (I personally do not know enough about him to make that statement) but has no bearing on the game.

 

Krak is absent but he is frequently absent so I have that as null currently.

 

Dice I have a suspicion on as he made what I fet was a incorrect at least point about Ithi not playing like she does. HE said she doesn't hold on to one person. She is very tenacious. She can be distracted if something else happens that generates interest, but to that point TG was the main topic of discussion. At least as much as I remember,

I'm willing to wait for Pral to actually be caught up and give his full thoughts before coming down on him hard. He's basically absent from games as either alignment although I can see where you're coming from.

 

I could agree with you on Slendy being a deep wolf candidate. I've only ever seen him as town, for one, and even in the most recent game we were in I still read him as kinda scummy despite his volume. Could be just how I read him though. He does little things like italicize words for emphasize that kinda make me frown to myself.

 

My other idea may be Despot. I personally don't think my soul read was terrible because his OP was sorta weak and you even picked up on it. I'm having trouble deciding if I'm wrong on Ithi (which I'm reconsidering after reading her last post and knowing Turin's penchant to lurk as scum) or if Despot is scum and pushing a mislynch considering the majority of his focus has been there.

Despot is one to look at IMO. He is pushing a crap case at us which immediately followed a flip flop between TG and us. Flip flop Despo is mafia Despo. definitely WTL.

I looked at most of them. The mobile site on VS is pretty terrible. It's true that his actions fit his meta. I'm just curious why the effort and not "it fits his meta and I like him and want him to stick around" which is the truth.

I would play uber town on D1 and try to draw the Nk on N1. If I managed to get protected as evidenced by no town death N1 then I would claim. If not I would continue to attempt to draw a NK. I think I am pretty good at getting killed early by mafia, Right Tommy?

Might be risky, but that is how I would play it.

TG as a player is more likely to be copped than killed N1. I think for his meta the play to reveal instantly was correct.

 

OH MAN I'M AGREEING WITH TOMMY AGAIN!?  But I do.  I think TG made the right play.

@yates, Tommy lies so much on D1 that I doubt he is telling the truth about his flavour. Plus Ithi thinks he is town so, he is only backburner material right now.

Casting doubt on Tommy makes me suspicious, but as we've seen with most games we play together I suck at reading you two.  Plus if Ithi agrees that he's town then I'm ok.

 

The short and sweet of if:

I'm headed to work soon. After a cursory glance at the first -4 pages during a quick between class pit stop I saw Ithi pushing the D1 policy lynch angle which I tend to find scum use because it's a good ~reason to hide their vote behind.

I think a few others picked up on this as well which is a good sign if I'm mind melding with some already.

Will read later for reactionary posts as I see Ithi/Turin have been talking some to reevaluate my stance but for now the vote can stay.

The questioning of the Miller-claim seemed like a forced afterthought; he was commenting on csarmi's Vote and had an OP as well and the Miller-claim was the friggin' first post of the Thread. So that strikes me as weird.

THink #58 by Yates (the post where he Votes Tommy for talking about Rolenames) is >rand to come from Town. The only point I'd see for Scum to fake connecting-the-dots like that is if they had reason to assume the lineup would Townread them for it.

#64 by Ithi is interesting, slightly more likely to come from Town IMO.

TGlems is very likely Town IMO with his Miller-claim.

No other coherent thoughts as of yet -- don't know most of the playerbase, unfortunately, so that means following the Threadflow properly will require some additional Effort.

I like this as well.  Also, when Arsis came in and said "we're not still on about the miller claim are we?"  I wasn't impressed.  It's an important discussion for D1, why would you want to pass it by?

Those behaviors you described from past games are responses to specific situations. I'm not going to do the same exact thing in every game. Darthe and Lenlo last game had posts that were scummy for them. Pralaya in this game has one post and it's scummy for anyone. So I'm gonna push him. I'm not pushing people based on the number of posts they have, I'm pushing them based on the content of those posts. So far Swag hasn't even said anything about this game except to laugh at a vote for him. That's completely null based on my meta understanding of him. I can't pull a town or scum lean out of thin air for you. He needs to post more. The same goes for Krak who has only one non game related post but it's not a scummy post, it's just a null post. Do you understand how some posts can be scummy and some can just be null?

 

Don't think I'm doing anything particularly odd for me anyway. I'm definitely more in my town range than my scum range. By quite a bit actually.
