Darthe... if you talk me into it, I have a way to confirm you. It's a special magic method.

Do you want to live?

Does it involve going into the back room and getting on his knees for a few minutes?

Posted

We have role PM's.  Logic says you may be able and wade through this crap for alignment indicative tidbits.

I don't want to though... I kinda just wanna coast until I'm NK'd... that okay?

Dunno what to make of this. Could be nothing. But worth putting in the context leading up to claim

I'd prefer to hold off until I have a better sense of your alignment thanks.  Ya know, eleven times bitten twelvsies shy etc.

I'm town

Claims town.

I'm so disappointing.

I'm not mafia or third, just an average hero trying to get by.

Claims town again

That post by Tom really pings, I don't like how he subtly suggested he's town by mentioning he's an average hero. It's a little bit of AtE.

Talks to himself.

Btw I'm Galactus and if you don't lynch me by D3 the game ends in my victory

....

...

..

.

Might not be joking

Claims Galactus

Haha and the funny part is

Yeah here's the best part

I'm invincible so you couldn't even lynch me if you wanted to

I don't know, maybe one of you can kill me, like the anti-Galactus, but otherwise you're all pretty much doomed

So good luck

What I was talking about.

I dunno if he is just trolling us or if it's  true. Gonna hold on to see what he says now that votes are beginning to pile.

I wouldn't hold it against Tommy to flaunt stuff like that though, expecting everyone to say "oh no he is probably just joking".

Since we have a lot of players, and alot of time, I'm going to:

[v]Tommy[/v]

Not because of Galactus

but because popcorn

So are you saying here that you're going not going to vote Tommy yet because you want to see what he says, but then vote him in the same post?

There are two things conflicting me right now, Tommy. You could be a jester using Galactus as a fake claim to get lynched. But there is something else too.

This is a 24 player game, I'm guessing lynch is 13 players. You need 6 more votes to be lynched. If you were Jester, you would not have needed to say anything. There are bound to be some more sheep who would follow others. Or you would have thrown the thread into more confusion.

Or you could be scum like some others believe. There are two trains of thought here-You are a townie who was trolling. Or you are scum who tried to be too smart. On normal occasions, I would have gone with the less obvious-that you are town. But from my game, scum can execute dumb moves and pull it off because town thinks scum wouldn't be that dumb. I'm Wifom'ing myself here but I like this puzzle

X's game certainly proved Tommy likes to troll town as scum, if nothing else.

Second of all if I'm scum I don't "deflect attention from teammates" on day friggin ONE. I push townies. BS reasoning is BS.

[v]Vos[/v]

You made a really wierd-ass move there claiming Galactus. It was worth looking at from several directions, including the fact that you might be a lynchproof scum drawing votes. It wasn't my conclusion, so I dunno why you picked one and use it now.it seems everyone has a role and everyone is pretty buffed up (and also: Mynd) so nothing surprises me in this game.

[v]Vos[/v]

Logical fallacy. What you would or wouldnt do as sxum is WIFOM since you could do anything.

Also this. Meta-defense invalid.

Tommy, the reason you're voting Vos is because??

Because he's full of crap and appears afraid to take a hard stance on it with his popcorn end statement. It's the classic scum hem-haw, like he could jump off if needed because he's not really serious about voting me.

I'm all for jumping off at some point. But I made you a promise to vote the first person to say or in other ways indicate they were leaning back, watching town tear itself apart while eating popcorn.

Well, here is to sooner than later

[unvote]

I'm super-paranoid about Tommy after he was howling his lungs out as scum in X's game, and people just let it pass. I don't see why he is trolling, nor bringing so much attention to himself is a pro-town move, but my gut says he isn't doing it as scum. I don't see the pro-town motives but certainly not the scum-motives.

I don't see too much value in analyzing the Tommy-train though. Sure, scum might have seen some opportunistic possibility for a cheap mislynch there - but with the amount of troll Tommy laid out as groundwork, they might have spotted the trap and kept away while confused townies piled on.

Abit annoyed this has taken so much attention now.

So at first glance I liked this post and started me thinking that maybe Vos was town.  But then I noticed things:

1) In response to the first quote, Vos provides an example of Tommy's previous play, the only purpose of which would be to try to convince people that Tommy is scum without providing concrete evidence.  It's completely hearsay and town doesn't usually engage in that behavior.  Or maybe just shouldn't engage in such behavior.  Either way it's a bad play for town and one that, imo, is >rand to be a scum play.

2) He doesn't want to analyze Tommy's train.

3) He's annoyed the subject of Tom's claim has taken so much attention, yet he's been feeding into it for a couple pages, by voting for Tom and entering into the conversation.  Now after unvoting he is chastising others for doing what he's been doing?  Nope.

4) Notice how he only unvotes Tommy after talk has surfaced regarding analyzing trains.  Vos wasn't named by one of the bigger posts (aka AJ's post), but he unvotes nonetheless without great reasons, so to me it looks like he's jumping ship before the analysis becomes too in-depth. Also with the whole "we shouldn't analyze Tommy's train," it looks really bad.

My ability is pretty neat.

I've alluded to it a few times.

But if we want to confirm Darthe's alignment, I can do so... but the day will end in a no-lynch.

I also imagine that your way for me to live hurts others or something dumb like that.

I hammer your lynch, I get your full role PM, and you get to live.

It's a cop-governor-priest menagerie. You want to do this?

He self voted.

That's pretty much a death sentence in my eyes.

FWIW I prefer you leave him in the hole he dug.

Darthe, Rand and Red still scum reads.  TG read is flipping back and forth by the minute.  Gonna get some eats and hope some stuff percolates from the preconscious.

Any no lynches is bad for towm. Let's not do this. I strongly suggest we lynch and I hammer.

Carol Danvers didn't have much time.  Her telepathic link with Coulson had been severed by a third party.  She at least was able to relay to him that Galactus was not so nigh as originally thought.  Coulson's last response before silence was to rendezvous with Agents Hill and May, or track their whereabouts.  And maybe Fury as well.  Without communication with central command, everyone is flying blind.

Coulson and Danvers were among the handful of former SHIELD operatives who were aware that Fury was still alive.  Only those that Fury could trust with his life knew.   He had trusted Rogers, Romanov, Hill, May, Barton, and even Pym but that bothered her. Dr. Hank Pym was the one variable in that circle of trust that she didn't have faith in.  Will he put his own ego ahead of the security of the galaxy again?

She was entering the Earth's atmosphere when something silver and metallic whizzed past her.  Instantly, she created an energy field around her and scanned the skyline.  "If they knew enough to cut off my ESP link with Coulson," she said to herself, "they know I'm here."

It was then that a silver humanoid rose up through a nearby cloud.  Standing on a long metallic board made of a strange alien material, the silver man floated closer.  "Hail Captain Marvel," the humanoid spoke, "I am Norrin Radd.  I have come as a Herald for Galactus is Nigh.  Your planet will be destroyed in 3 of your days."

Danvers raised an eyebrow and put her hands on her hips.  "Really?" she scoffed, "so Galactus is on his way and there's nothing we can do a bout it?"  The silver being looked confused.  "Funny, I just talked to Galactus and he told me he's on his way to Zenn-La instead."  The silver being did not react.  "Yeah, he told me he was sick of your whining about not killing people and all your Kabala crap."

"I-I have not heard this," stuttered the silver being, as smoke began to billow from its neck, it twitched when it said, "I am Norrin Radd.  I have come as a Hera-"

"Yeah, and you know what else?" Danvers interrupted, "he's replacing you with an old lady on a segway!  Beware! The Silver Segway comes!"  The humanoid began to shake and sparks began to burst from its eyes.

"I am Norrin Radd." shouted the humanoid, "I have come..."  Danvers had enough.  Even if she hadn't known the real Norrin Radd personally, she could spot a fake like this a mile away.  With a spin, she charged up a fist full of energy and let loose on the silver imposter.   With a blast of energy, the head of the humanoid exploded with a loud hissing sound, revealing an intricate set of circuits and gears.

"Dirty, stinkin robot!" Danvers shouted.  Suddenly, she could see three figures approaching in the air behind her, dark shadows with red eyes fixed on her.

"EXTERMINATE!" shouted the lead, followed by a volley of rockets and laser blasts.  Danvers quickly dodged them and began evasive maneuvers to dodge the oncoming attack.

"I have to get to ground," she thought, "I'm an open target out here."  She flew closer to the Earth and led the pursuing bots towards the city. "I'll be fine as long as dingus fruit loops remember to unvote before changing their votes!"

Not Voting: everyone else

It is still Day 1 of Avengers 2 - Age of Ultron Mafia, which will end Thursday, August 7th at 20:00pm EST or when a majority lynch has been achieved.  This is a hammer game so the moment a majority lynch has been reached, the day will end and I will post the results as soon as I am available to do so.  No additional votes or unvotes will be counted after the majority has been reached.

To vote, you must vote in the usual manner "[v ] VOTE [/v ]" and you must [unvote] before voting again.

With 24 players in the game, it will take 13 votes to reach a majority.  Failure to reach a majority by the deadline will result in a random player being lynched.

That sounds useful, why waste it on a bodyguard claim?

It's not necessarily a waste. If he's confirmed town he can get more reads off and scum is forced to kill him. He protects me tonight and I can use it again tomorrow if we want. If he's scum, he can just refuse.

I don't see the harm in forcing scum to kill his emo ass if he's actually town.

He's probably lying about what it does so we all just let him hammer tbh

I wonder how many people in this game have a hammer ability

If he's scum wouldn't he want you to use it on him being that he's the vote leader anyway?

Delays his lynch a turn.

Sure but then I out him instantly and all we've lost is some time. Someone can just Vig him tonight if that's the case.

Also if he IS town he can give us his best reads right now and then we lynch him and confirm the reads were genuine.

I'm not seeing the benefit here tbh.

You don't see the benefit in having at least one if not two confirmed townies through the efficient use of abilities?

Posted

1.  Possible.  Not a good look either way imo.  At some point the bullshit stops being even remotely pro-town.  Feels like Tommy might be trying to see how much he can get away with and I don't like it.

2.  Given how many have talked about it, probably a good amount.

While this is probably true...I can't help but remember the last Avengers game where the scum team was basically a Cultafia and any recruited heroes retained their abilities.

If scum recruited a doctor or a mirror or bus driver or w/e that wont even work.

But then again this isn't that game so I don't know what we're up against.

Which is why I prefer death via lynch.
