It's why I didn't understand Nolder's "town is gonna be crushed!" comment. Unless he has some kind of mechanical knowledge of the setup like an oracle

You say you're one of the Twins, you say you're the Living Tribunal and now Modok.

Quick, next who?

Why are you making a big deal out of me joking around?

I'M FREEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

K I think i'm going to Tommy.  For some reason, he knew that Galactus was in the game.  If he's not Galactus or on a team with Galactus, its possible that he knew Galactus existed from his role PM, but even with that, he could be some kind of symp like the Silver Sulfer that was trying to hint at it to Galactus.  He might have tried the too obvious thing again.  Along with an attitude that I mentioned earlier which didn't match his previous style.  After I mentioned that i had read some of his previous games, he had no comment to me, nothing like OK nevermind, or something like that.  I might have missed it, but I don't think so.

vote Tommy

Also, I'm thinking I have a town lean on Nolder.  I was also thinking of the restriction of voting as a restriction to scumhunting, but pushed the though aside because some scumhunting is still possible.  See above.  I don't think that mafia would point something like that out, they have much more to gain off of these "meta tells" and supposed "catch-all" methods of scumhunting.

Red is my next scumread for the reasons others have pointed out.  Yes it does contain the meta tells that I so sarcastically pointed out before, but Red is one of those people with a very distinct playstyle, which creates a stronger meta read.  Tommy is also another player with a very distinct if not easily graspable or caught playstyle.

Vote Arsis

Seemed quickest to jump on my bandwagon with the least amount of reasoning imo

9) Voting and Unvoting - Vote and unvote in the usual manner with the new format.  I will not count a new vote unless your old vote has been unvoted first.  (Info on new Vote Tags here)

Nolder, please use the new vote tags.

[v]Verbal[/v]

lol, if he were here, we would all join you.

Vote Arsis

Lmao, after saying you couldn't gain any knowledge without voting? You're a walking contradiction. Your early vote means you were lying before, no? Lynch all liars.

Clown.

although a valid point, I suspect his train of thought was like mine, though a little different, since he must have eventually realized there was something to do during that time.

However the larger point in this quote is the fact that you said to lynch Nolder and didn't vote him at all lol.  Reeks of someone waiting to come and agree with that, vote Nolder, and then you can join and say you started the train if it helps you, and say that the other person technically started the train if it hurts you.  You're third on the scum list right now.

Tommy stuff is asinine.  Much more likely to be a good Silver Surfer trying to warn the town about Galactus in a creative way imo.  Symp hinting that blatantly would be straight up amateur.

Also, really don't like how you are saying that scum are likely to push meta tells while using meta to push two people.  Hanging a lampshade on it doesn't make it any less hypocritical/scummy.

Kind of agree that Arsis' comment was meh, but putting him at #3 for it is ridiculous.  Are you scum, Rand?

The above post by Arsis has the worst tone I've ever read.

Still, for now it's apparent that we should [v] tommy [/v]

Best lawyer ever.

But in all seriousness, this is bad.

My feelings haven't changed.

I have no idea what to think of Tom's antics lately. Not sure if too wolfy can be applied in this situation, but it's all very bizarre.

After reading over Nolder's arguments from today, I'm beginning to read him more as stubborn town than scummy. I disagree that info can't be gleaned through discussion since people have their role PMs already and will act according to those, consciously or not, but his argument reads more like him complaining about DM climate in general than anything else.

How is Nolder complaining about DM climate a towntell?  That's par for the course for him imo.

It's bad, yeah. The classic deride one person, vote another.

Not sure he EVER takes me at face value if he's town. Makes me think he's >rand to be scum.

There is no way that Tommy could have, as a townie, guessed Galactus in three days, if Mynd had of planned that in advance.

I heard Galactus has a herald of some sorts.  Whats he called again?

For the record I'm not silver surfer or Galactus

Hoof were you in the last Avenger game? I don't recall.

i was.

I was.... Coulson, i think? I lost, but i was one of the survivors.

Recall that I fake claimed when Wombat pushed on me and Mynd wrote my claim into one of his scenes before confirming I was Loki.

Mynd tries to follow the narrative in the thread and you shouldn't necessarily trust that he'd confirm someone in a scene like that.

Yeah, but that was your death scene, so it was more of an in-the-moment pumpfake.  Almost made me defecate ceramic parallelepipeds.  Good times.

Blackhoof - I don´t really understand your quick unvote.

because if what Nolder says is true, he fake-claimed and Mynd added it into the scene anyway.

Unless I have misinterpreted what he said?

I didn't play in the first game so I'm not sure. But from what I've gathered, the scenes follow the flow of the game. Not to the point, but at some level.

I doubt Tommy fake-claimed a villain and then Mynd added the fake-claimed character if it was taken out of the blue.

But I also think that is beside the point now. As Darthe just ninja'd me with, Tommy is certainly trying to draw the lynch. If its some sort of suicidal role - or if he is indeed lynchproof we won't know until he hangs.

I doubt Mynd would be bastard enough to include Tommy as a jester. It would probably be a lot of work for a game that ended very quickly.

IIRC, Deadpool was a jester in the first Avengers game Mynd ran, but game didn't end when he got lynched.

Really?

that would change things. The entire galactus thing might be a false alarm in that case.

for now, i will [unvote]Tommy[/unvote]

IIRC I claimed to be either Black Widow or Maria Hill due to their connection with SHIELD.

I might be wrong though. All I remember for sure is I picked a chick who was a member of SHIELD.

I think it was Bobbi Morse.  Not sure though.

What did I get, like six votes already? Badass.

I'm NOT Galactus, if anyone cares. Just thought it was funny. I didn't even see that Mynd added a scene about my claim, but if he did, that's even funnier.

And no I'm not a Jester, just messin around. Watching with some interest as votes pile onto me.

LEL

There are two people that know my real character. One I told in PMs and one I have extra special secret communication with. Dun dun dunnnnnn!

Intredasting.

I mean that I am curious as to what shenanigans you are able to pull on that vote train - I have seen at least one game where someone could only Lie Detect someone who voted for them. I predict similar conditions on your Power.

If this was Marvel, I would give Rogue an ability similar - she could only "steal" Powers from someone who touches her (ie Votes)

That's a good guess. Do xmen cross over with avengers though?

Not in Mynd's games.  Cuz Verbal.

Order of votes.

Not a bad little pool to look at.

The ones that stuck out most to me after a cursory glance were the middle ones I've bolded.

Darthe's reasoning looks a bit too simplistic for him. Dawn's post was just long and awkward, it read more like rambling than coherent thoughts and I don't particularly like the timing considering she has next to 0 thread presence thus far.

I don't get why Hoof unvoted so quickly and with Dice it borders policy lynch territory which I usually find as a scummy trait for someone to easily push a lynch on someone.

I don't think Vos's post was as bad as you do Tommy, I like that he went back first to make sure it wasn't a PR - which is a similar thought I had while I was reading through last night before bed.

Hi AJ

Hoping you're town

I'm town.

That's fair. It was more his tone than anything, it didn't come across to me as ingenuine and I can't see his motivation for chiding others as scum for that particular subject. I've seen him in a game or two complain about the town play here on DM as being sub par.

Tommy Train Analysis:

Rand:  Reasoned vote.  Looks like an honest effort to hunt.

Darthe:  Slams Arsis' tone as he doubles up the Tommy vote.

Dawn:  Poor explanation with a simplistic rationale for jumping on the train.

Hoof:  Votes Tommy, the peels off after Nolder explains Mynd's history of using thread info for writing scenes.

Dice:  Too easily ready to go after low hanging fruit while chastising Hoof for peeling away.

Vos:  At least mentions that possibility that Tommy is trolling the thread but then votes him for popcorn.  lol...sounds like something I would do.

Tina:  Provides useful commentary on Red, Nolder, Tommy and Arsis.  Appears to hunt.

From these voters I can see Darthe, Dawn and Dice as scum looking to advance a lynch toward an obvious troll.  Funny how he charged me with that same crime last game.  Looks like he can use the troll technique to scum hunt as well.

Still not liking Tsuki so far.

He went pretty in depth with his probing for Tom's character info with the end assessment that they couldn't be town this game based off lore, and then quickly backs off saying that so long Tom isn't anti-town he doesn't care?? I don't see how those add up.
