I'm following my gut and common sense. I've been watching you three and that's my interpretation of it. Trying to read between the lines was a bit challenging considering the amount of posting you guys dished out, but I think I'm doing well considering.

RTE and Tsuki seem the scummiest to me at current. I'm up for a lynch on either, but you were correct in saying earlier that we will get more information out of RTE's flip. Wombat seems a bit wishy washy but I rather case him properly before saying anything definitive.

Not sold on Tommy being scum. I've played with him, been his hydra...... His play in this game lacks his usual finesse. He wouldn't play this badly as scum. I'd be legit surprised if he did.

Dawn is posting a lot more than I've seen her post in any other game. The problem is that every syllable that comes out of her mouth seems scummy to me as a rule. I was dead set on getting her lynched in RW and she turned out being town. I don't believe I've played with her in a game where she was scum so I think I'll be looking into a previous game where she rolled scum to compare and contrast.

Null on Mynd and Red for now (with a slight town lean). Need to observe them more. Mynd is a bit more quiet than usual but that can mean anything, really. In the Buffy game he rolled scum and he was a lot more vocal. But Mynd is also the kind of player that would adjust between games. So I'm not giving that much weight. Red is being a bulldog. But I've seen her carry that out as scum as well. So again, null.

I like what I've seen from Vos so far. Very relaxed tone. Townie lean.

Keeping Dap on null right now till he resurfaces and starts talking. I think Tommy did make one or two good points about him but I really don't think he's the scummiest person in the game, like Tommy claims. Not even close.

Not loving Quibby having no reads and being lost. I don't see him asking questions, casing, gauging, or doing anything for that matter. Another person I will be looking into soon. But if memory serves right, I won't be finding much in the sense of content. Null to scum lean.

It's not even meant to be a dick measuring contest, I'm just so mad at them.

But if Darthe is scum, it's just typical Des and Darthe doing his job correctly.

So less mad, but still out of patience.

I figured it out. Tommy's role is the Tabloid Journalist. If he can reach a certain number of antagonistic replies in this thread by the end of D1, then he wins the game.

Newer players are always harder to read, as you have to separate the derptown from scum, and then there's always the wifom about coaching if they seem too qualified and not derpish

Right now I'm leaning more towards derptown on Dawn than scum

Altho her still acting like I'm anywhere near one of the scummiest ITT is discomforting. Eh what you gonna do

Lol maybe. In any case with 9 to lynch we only need 4 more. I doubt Red or Nyn join us and RTE won't but Vos and Dawn will. Lyn can't which leaves Laya, Tsuki and those who haven't voted. Troublesome. Between the three tommy has swayed, Len and the inactives/scum we have little chance of actually getting a lynch today. RTE is someone people are more comfortable with but that is absolute horse crap that we should have to settle on what scum prefers to get a lynch.

Just can not roll my eyes any harder than I already am this game

I don't automatically assume anyone that questions me to be scum

To think I'm that elementary or make reads that simply is just..... man honestly it disgusts me how freaking far off some of you are on my actual play

Mynd has questioned me this game. Doesn't matter, he's still LOCK CLEAR for now. The manner he did question me didn't seem scummy.

Dawn has questioned me a LOT. Yet it isn't just her suspecting of me that makes me worried she could potentially be scum, it's that she changed her reads to partially coincide with mine, yet STILL has me as a scumread

Quibby thought I was scum I'm pretty sure. Doesn't matter, he still looks LOCK CLEAR to me.

Darthe even questioned me for a bit, but looked a lot more like paranoid townie than scum waffling to me, hence the town read

Now, contrast those with these:

Red put out a "case" on me as scum, and tried setting up a Thunderdome with me and Tommy. Later said I was LOCK SCUM. Shows complete unwillingness to use new info or posts to adapt that read. Says "Yeah, those other people are scummy, but Despot is scummiER" without saying in any rational way why

Tommy had a pretty simple reason to suspect him (his gauntlet throwdown with Cory, then backtrack, etc), yet when I vote him, he immediately votes me... then begs for me to read him as town. While leaving his vote parked on me. He has tried acting like that's no big deal.... but it is. Plain and simple. Then he later says I look town for my "passion" yet even tho Darthe displays very similar passion, Tommy continuously acts like Darthe is scum, but that I'm still town.

RTE voted me but scolded me for being a bad townie pretty much.

Wombat voted me and said that I was intentionally dropping scumtells, I wasn't, then he tunnels on me, then mystifyingly switches off me while still making it seem like he could go back to me

Tsuki votes me and says it's because there's a gambit between me and Tommy, then does more of the "berate Despot for being a bad townie" routine, and also never explains why he voted me and not Tommy

Does no one else see the difference in how these people handled their read of me?

This isn't to say I build my reads SOLELY on how others handle me. But it's DEF a big part of my early game, as I am such a polarizing player and good at drawing out reactions

So yeah, if everyone can just freaking STOP all the "Despot sucks at mafia" crap that would be GREAT. Thanks.

I'm a much better player than many of you give me credit for, and much more aware of my shortcomings than others think.

Just stop acting like my playstyle or skill level is a topic of discussion that IN ANY WAY helps town achieve it's goals this game which- spoiler alert- it DOESN'T.
