Pg 1 Jokey stuffs, TG and his upside down BM. Darthe and me throw some love (votes) at each other.

 

pg 2 Mynd comes in and pushes Verb for voting me because its "a-typical" for someone to throw a second vote on someone so early. This is an odd and poor reason to push someone imo even if it is D1 Pg2. FOS Mynd.

 

Pg 3 Only real stuff is Krak votes Verb for no reason and Dawn comes in with a very suspicous "Dont vote me!" post.

 

pg 4 Got some stuff going. Mynd wants answers from Krak for his vote and he gets a shoddy one, Des calls me scum despite my charm and votes me . Says my wording is awkward scum trying to pass off as town. Feel like hes scumhunting, just up the wrong tree.

 

pg 5-6 Jokes, like the tone and some posts make me feel better about Krak. 

 

pg 7Verb and Tina are back into it and playing the game now. I like this but Tina's post has to many soft questions and doesnt really say anything imo. Krak also picks up on this which is a point to him. Csarmi asks if he can vote but doesnt and this just doesnt sit right with me.

 

pg 8-9 TG is voting Leels cause of her early verb def but I dont see that as that bad, atleast not compared to what others have done. Krak calls TG out on this just as I would have so im liking Krak alot so far. Mynd follows up with Krak agreeing that Tinas post was bleh, but then turns around and goes after Leelou instead. Granted his reasons were much better than TGs. Leelous defense of herself saying Dawn has an obsession is pretty weak at this point and is causing me to rethink my position on Mynd.

 

pg 10 Leelou trys to take the fight to Mynd, poking him about his defense of Dawn but I dont see it that way. Hes not defending her hes attacking Leelou and this attempt to shift the discussion is noted. Bob and Dawn take cheap shot votes at Leelou. I feel like Dawn is just echo chambering Mynd and trying to jump on. Could be distancing, or Leelou could be town but I dont think down is town atm. Darhte also returns and I agree with him on Mynd and Des loking very town, disagree about his read on Hallia. I liked that post.

 

pg 11-12 Darthe takes shots at Dawn. Hurtful but not gameplay. Leelous reads are surprisingly in line with my own on pg 12, aside from herself and Thane. Dunno what this means. Tina swaps to TG around here as well, someone we now know to be town. The post in itself looks forced and like shes shifting things to fit her narrative.

 

pg 13 Leelou says her train has built fast but I disagree, it was a steady pace and alot of people had decent reasoning behind them. TG trys to make a Thane CFD and for some reason im not against this. Like... Im not for it and wont be pushing it, but I dont feel any problems with the thought of it. 

 

pg 15-16 Thane unvotes for a character claim, which is really weak, and he cant even give a top 3 scum or town meaning his reads are weak imo. This would be a good place to start and not just because hes the new BH. Dice also goes with the Thane CFD. Despo also goes with the thane thing. Thane also claims COP which is... surprising.

 

pg 17 We ended up with a no lynch because we failed to reach consensus, but I feel this is an alright end to the day. We got some good info, Thane is virtually cleared and we will have something to start with on D2.

 

pg 18 I disagree with Leelou. I can see Tina as scum but not Darthe or Mynd. I could go for Dice as he hasnt done to much real stuff this game (Like I can talk.) and I still feel bad about Csarmi.

 

pg 19-20 JOKES! And TG dies. Mynd goes for me which is understandable, though apparnetly he was gunning for reactions than anything else. Still not feleing good about CS. Thane doesnt look good here as apparently he didnt get a result last night and then posits some wifomy questions about TG.

Made a list of reads and comments. With the mixup of characters esp feels real to me. Feeling better about him. Lee made a good point about him going back to his reads: How he had Darthe as towny when he had been voted him all D1). Possible scum
 
3.  Hallia: Her comment about Tina was null for me as I like to ask questions and I've seen Tina do it as town. Hally's vote on Dawn, however, doesn't sit right with me. She uses others reasons (her thing with Darthe is becoming a meta to hide behind) and the timing of it stinks. (Suddenly Lee looks right...) Hally saying she stayed with Dawn because she felt scummy to her stands out to me. She re-reads has a town feeling on Darthe, now is weary of Csarmi and thinks Tina is town. So basically the Dawn slot was scummy, benefit of the doubt/less scummy when Csarmi fills in, and back to weary of the slot because she was challenged on it by Mynd? Leaning scum

5.  Leelou: Her reason for voting Dawn feels stretched. I didn't see it as obsessed. I agree that she doesn't look good D1. Her getting a town vibe from Hally for activity doesn't sit right. I've seen Hally active as scum. It's Hally's content that shows her alignment...Claimed VT. Her analysis of her train looks good. Has Darthe as a top suspect EoD1 without much pressure on him. Her points against Mynd after D2 lynch are good (saying how he was against the lynch until it was obvious). Her recent posts feel like her townie play. Leaning town
 
6.  Verbal: Makes a good point against Tina - saying she agrees "with Leelou's list and yet you're willing to admit you think she might be mafia?  That last line in your post is just so wishy-washy.  Why would you think Dawn and Leelou might be scum?" Made good points against Mynd recently I liked his reaction in the back and forth with Mynd. Leaning town
 
7.  NotBob: Votes TG to go along with Verbal's joke then switches to Lee for what seems like a joking reason "what's wrong with a healthy Darthe obsession". Flinging votes without giving real reasons. Said Hally voted for competing trains, I don't recall her saying that, she didn't in the post you quoted. Doesn't see the point in going for Dawn since "low hanging fruit". Still no comment on bandwagon vote other than "Leelou earned the sudden train". Votes Hally while stating he still doesn't like Lee. His questioning on Hally looks good, except he himself voted without reasons so it doesn't make me feel better overall about him. Null (I keep going back and forth on him).
 
8.  Dawn Csarmi: Dawn: starts off joking then uses I think it was Mynd's reasong of an easy lynch to OMGUS vote Lee. Doesn't comment even though there's plenty going on atm. Csarmi: I like the way he comes in and questions motives right away. Claims town after saying earlier how that's null and asks Len how that changes his reads. Votes Darthe early D2. Asks others questions not a lot of thought. Claimed Doc outed Darthe as LLL. Un CC'd Doc Town
 
9.  Despo: Gives reads early on, seems to believe them. (I don't agree with his Hally or Notbob read. Hally more because it felt like she was honestly giving her thoughts, I agree questions can be good and from Tina it's more a null tell for me....NotBob I don't agree with because of the lack of reasoning he gives. Seems like he's using jokes to place votes and not giving good reasons.) His reasons for backing off Lee (VT claim) makes sense to me. I like his questioning on Hally as it's the same conclusion/questions I had reading her responses. Leaning town
 
10.  Mynd: The way he's going after players and the reasons he gives feels like town Mynd to me. Sticks to Lee and claims her lynch was stalled. Come D2, after all night of still going after Lee, he votes Len for reactions. Switches gears to Hally for her defense of Lee before her claim and her backtracking on Csarmi/Dawn slot. Now Hally looks town to him, because she switched her view on Csarmi? Mynd seems to want to avoid the Darthe lynch. Votes Darthe after the hammer. Asks for thoughts on Hally...not sure why since earlier he said he thought she looked more protown. Claimed Rand VT. Says Tina isn't looking good N2, D3 says she's scrambling but thinks she's town because "If she were mafia, I doubt her teammates would let her make the posts that she has been making." As for the VT can become something else Womby said this was a basic game. Insisting he was hammer even though it's been pointed out he wasn't. (Not a huge point but not paying attention). Going after Lee (whom Darthe also went for), avoiding Darthe's lynch until it was obvious, asking for thoughts against Hally when she looked pro-town to him earlier (not sure the reason for the flip thinking), flip thinking on Tina. Leaning scum
 
11.  Darthe, Padan Fain, Mafia Goon, lynched D2 Listed Mynd, TG and Des as townies and voted Lee (who people seemed to agree looked scummy). Says Verb is scum if Lee flips town. Stayed consistent that Lee is scum and that Mynd is town. Changes his read on Des after the WoT calling Darthe scum. Spoke mostly about Lee being scum and Mynd being town. His flip on Des was like an OMGUS.

13.  Tina: starts asking questions right away. Not much input. Gave some reads but unsure of 6 players one being Darthe. Stating she agrees with Leelou's reads while also saying she might be mafia is interesting as Verb pointed out. Null as I'm having a hard time reading her.
 
14.  Krak: Lee's train starts to dissipate and his reason for switching to TG is "wanted to move my vote?" Switches back to Lee because he wants a lynch and doesn't want to vote Thane. His catch up post looks good. I like that he questions Dice and Des. Feels like genuine scum hunting to me. Leaning town.

The whole "a single word or a single vote can change the weave of the pattern was simply flavor on Wombat's part, and to help stress that a VT isn't powerless- they still have their voice, and their vote, which can have TONS of influence if they use it correctly.

 

Nothing about that indicates in any way that a VT can become something else. This is a Basic game, roles changing midgame doesn't seem likely to happen.

 

As for the Rand claim, meh. Character claims mean so, so little to me. I know Wombat is def the type of Mod who might have left Rand out to give to scum as a fake claim. It IS ironic however, how I've heard you rail so many times about a character not likely being vanilla in a themed game, yet you try and pass this off with a "well, it might change..." supposition.

He had a joke vote exchange with Len, and then the thing with Dawn/Csarmi.  With Darthe flipping scum, Dawn's OMGSUS D1 gives him townie points for me.

 

And then you have the train on Leelou that started up D1.  She was a big pusher D2 for Darthe's train, so I think analyzing her train is good.

@Csarmi - I thought I did hammer that vote.   Even before you counter claimed, I was thinking "Watcher sounds a bit bizarre for Moirine's role" but your CC seemed legit.  Still even in that moment, I wasn't 100% sure Darthe would flip scum.  Between the two, he seemed like the more likely LLL but if he flipped town, you were next of course. 

 

@Csarmi (again) - Actually, you were on it but you were also actively scumhunting others with your vote on Darthe.  Despo was being way to narrow minded on the lynch long before Darthe even claimed.  I don't like narrow minded lynches, especially without competing trains. 

 

@Verb - That is one of a couple places I have seen that verbage.  It made better sense to me as Rand al'Thor, but it sounds like it is likely true for most of the Two River's gang.  No dice for Mat yet, no Wolf Dreams for Perrin either.  Nynaeve may even not have more than her braid to pull at this point.  As we have discovered recently, Basic games don't seem to be as basic as they used to be. 

 

@Tina - Lemme make sure I have this right.  You believe that Rand al'Thor is likely my given safe fake claim.  In a game called Eye of the World.  Starring Rand al'Thor.  Am I right about this?  This is your reason for voting me.  Has nothing to do with bandwagoning at all, right?

 

I think I addressed everyone's questions at this point.  I don't like Despo's "Agree wit me or you are scum" approach here.   If he is town, he's going to lose the game for us if he doesn't consider other options.   Darthe's lynch went through because of his weak claim, not because of any sharp casing.

Feeling good about my scum reads. For town I feel the strongest on Csarmi for the claim and Lee for reasons listed and that Darthe was pushing for her lynch so hard. Also Depso has been acting on his town game to me. The rest (you and Verb) I don't feel as strongly but still getting a townie vibe.
