I also haven't seen any unreasonable long WOTs. I (for some reason) get why Jack is saying it, and he at least explains it. Then Lily comes and says "oh, yeah, is that ok? then me too, me too". Doesn't sit well at all. Bad excuse for skimming and getting an easy out of any incoherencies. Town wouldn't be too worried about that. Scum would.

FWIW I only read about 20% of these multiquote walls.  I just don't complain about them.  If people want me to read something, they should make it concise and to the point.  I'm not here to read a paper; I'm here to play mafia.

 

 

I too am pretty about all the complaining about wot's from Jack and Lily. I haven't seen any crazy long ones yet, they've all been manageable, and discouraging their use is basically discouraging others from posting all of their thoughts about the game, which is just blatantly antitown. More importantly saying you straight won't read them unless they're emphasized or something is gross, and really just an excuse to not respond to new points brought against either of them in the future. If I wasn't already voting Jack, I would be pushing a policy lynch on him now.

 

Also didn't like his recent AtE. This is the guy that self hammered himself as the Doc at lylo which lost the game for town... I don't see him AtEing about a mislynch on D1.

 

Hate to admit it but Kronos does look bad for some of his responses... And now we'll be dealing with a replacement. Bleurgh.

 

Besides that, Wombat could have switched trains to disassociate himself from teammates- while his reasoning made sense I also think it was too cautious of a move.

 

Vos train felt random and bizarro. Cloud seems town to me atm. Not sure on Lenlo yet but Nolder is pinging for over-fluffing instead of coming down with a stance on anything. Also not sure on Dap, but I should be able to pick up a read there soon. Amega seems to get more excited with town roles tbh, I'm thinking his activity level makes him >rand to be town. That's everyone I can think of atm.

 

 

These opinions really suck.  Lily almost always complains about walls.  And they're not discouraging you from sharing your thoughts.  They're just asking you to try to do it without going over 500 words or 4 quotes in one post.  It's not that hard.  L2Write.

 

Fearmongering about Jack and self-hammering/AtE is terrible.  He's a good player.  He knows how to play.  He just went emo a bit.  Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

 

My reasoning makes sense but it was too cautious.  But I also moved away from a train you didn't like.  Try to show a little more cognitive dissonance please.

Physics Fact of the Day

 

Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Or, Laser. When the laser was invented it was called the "Solution without a problem." Here was some cool thing physicists had created but it was totally useless! Which is pretty much the definition of all fundamental scientific research. All basic research is meant to be pure exploration, and if it ends up being useful (which it invariably does) then that is great, but not necessarily considered at the basic research stage. In the case of the laser, which now is essential to communication systems as well as a host of other applications, it underwrites about $4,000,000,000,000 worth of economic activity in the United States alone. Yes, $4T, or about a quarter of the total U.S. economy.

 

So, what is this magical device? Well, a laser is light that "coherent." You see, light can take on lots of different states. It could be infrared, it could be a radio wave, it could be purple visible light, it could be orange visible light, etc. The difference between those types of light is that they have a different wavelength. An analogy would be water waves, going up and down in the ocean. Some water waves are big and some are smaller. Similarly, some light is "bigger" and some is "smaller."

 

Have you ever seen waves of water coming from two different directions move into each other? They can end up canceling each other out if the trough of one wave coincides from the crest of another. Again, it is the same with light.

 

So with a laser, you have light that is exactly the same wavelength, all coming from exactly the same place, and all of the "waves" line up perfectly so they never cancel each other out. With such a perfect beam of light you can do all sorts of interesting things because you have perfect control.

 

To finish, you might ask just how such perfectly coherent light is created since every other source of light (the sun, light bulbs, etc) don't make coherent light. Well, the answer lies in the electron. When you excite an electron, it goes into an excited state, like giving a little kid candy. The little kid with candy will be excited for a while and then fall asleep and come down from the excited state. Same with the electron, it will eventually come down from the excited state, and when it does it releases a photon, or a particle of light.

 

Because of Quantum Mechanics the photon released can only be at certain discrete wavelengths. So, an electron coming down from an excited state could release a photon of wavelength 1, or 2, or 3, or etc. The final step then, to make sure that all the electrons in the laser are releasing photons are of exactly the same wavelength is to apply a magnetic field that helps control just how excited the electrons get, and how far they come down from that excited state.

Jack, I understand that it’s difficult to navigate through WoT’s on mobile but you can’t expect me to change my entire playstyle just because you are in this game. I often grab a lot of quotes and use them as a tool to convey my own thoughts. I suggest you just buckle up and read them anyway because otherwise you will miss a lot of information.

I'm also leaning town on Amega. I don’t agree with everything that he has said but he has been making sense most of the time and more importantly he has a serious case of WIM.

1. You are coming off as a bit paranoid about your own death here.

 

2. Everyone here is attempting to play the game. This paragraph only reads like a bunch of whyme fryme and WIFOM. You trying to defend yourself by explaining that it wouldn’t make sense for you to go in the offense when you could have just laid back is weak because A) you could have had valid reasons to do the things that you did, and B) it appears that you are trying to backtrack away from your attacks on Kronos. Also, Kronos didn’t say “why so?”, he said “we do?” which was obviously meant to be taken as a jokingly response.

 

3. This is not true at all. It’s quite easy to accurately read the tone and feel behind a player's posts without having to rely on seeing their facial expressions and hearing their voice. I actually almost can't believe that you are using this argument to defend yourself.

Let me 'splain.  No there is too much.  Let me sum up.  I am voting Vos because I found his vote the worst on the Jack train.  Cloud's is also pretty bad though.  The others are probably voting Vos because they don't like the Jack train, and they see Vos as a good countertrain, having already been voted.

 

Also, Cloud seems to be trying to look like he's scumhunting, but I don't like much of anything he's saying.  His statements are rather sophomoric for a player of his experience, and he's doing a lot of questioning and sheeping, things that scum like to do when trying to push an agenda without looking like they are.

 

I agree with Nolder and Dap about WBK, and I kinda like how Vos is responding right now, so I'ma switch to him.  Got my eye on Cloud.  He's probably dirty.

It's either townie lean or scum lean, also a null lean. You basically playing the fence and leaving ground work to lynch one and them the other.
