I'd like to hear any thoughts Dawn might have on the game.

I don't get this at all. You know both are newer players Lily, and thus will both be much harder to read and much easier to make look scummy, and you seem so intent on hearing from them? This combined with your fascination with Kronos in your reread posts makes me feel really good about my scumread on you.

 

I think Lily could be scum pretty much because of what Desp said here, and her being very interested in us makes her look kinda suspicious...

 

But Desp could also be scum, and could just be TRYING to make Lily look like scum so that I think he is not, and just trying to make me suspicious of Lily. I cannot find any examples of Lily's interest in Kronos (who I replaced) in earlier posts. So Desp could be trying to convince me and possibly Ice too that Lily is scum, while he could be. I'm starting to think Lily may NOT be scum, since there is really not that much proof towards it. (I'm still gonna keep an eye out on her though, just in case Desp is actually not scum and seriously thinks Lily is.)

So far in I'm leaning Des, if nothing else than his defense of me and Cloud. I'm pretty sure scum was on Jacks train and not mine, and that they hoped I would get lynched and could "ride my flip" and go after Jack etc. On page 14 in the re-read now, will conclude with a reads list. So far neither Des or Amega looking too good, but I'm leaning more towards Des now.

I would hope scum would spread their votes around. Especially day one but I digress. Lets lynch des. It'll be fun lolz

Alright gettin close to deadline, nothing ive seen has really changed my opinion on Jack, though Clouds BS scumhunting and hypocritical statements has made me completely ok with lynching him as well. I feel like one of them is scum, but most likely not both.

I never said the word consolidate. I voted for who I thought was scum with time left and made it clear that if we dont have enough people to lynch you then id be willing to switch over to, or consolidate as the word goes, onto Cloud so we could secure a lynch. I never used consolidation as my reasoning for voting you.

So I did a bit of re reading. Chae's read lost sticks out. Especially knowing what we know now

 

For the moment, my reads... don't think i'll post much today

 

Jack - I found him quite jumpy at the beginning. But he may have been fishing for reactions. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt so far.

Lily - I didn't understand her focus on Kronos. So far, I find her active and she does read the wot, it could count as a sign if scumhunting. Leaning town.

Wombat - Quite constructive in his posts, but there's nothing really relevant at the moment. it's a null for me.

Ame - I found his vote against Jack having not enough substance, but his lasts posts are better. I wouldn't vote him now

Vos - Seeing how much Nolder is on his back, i may want to give him the benefit of the doubt too (see post 308).

Despo - I didn't like his post about being the only one to do stuff on D1 and leave unpunished. I'd give him a null read though as I dont think he'd have posted

Replacement/Xtrax - too soon

Ice - too soon

Lenlo - don't have reads

Dap - Well i'm a bit confused by him using the punctuation Kronos used to say he could be scum ... it looks a bit overdone. First he said not much, then with his post 291 he uses real details to push ideas.

Dawn - too soon

Nolder - I don't like his vote against Des. It looks a lot like it's only a way to defend himself, as he had reads about others.

His posts make him look like a veteran with a lot of material and all, could be trying to build himself some credit.

Cloud - less active at the moment, so null for me. Helpful with the replacement, i note. Asked interesting questions in the beginning of the game.

I think later in the game, we will look back and find the scum amongst the people working hardest at twisting the course of the game, and as I read it, Wombat and Jack is pretty darn high up on that list.

How come? Isn't coroner reports towns number one advantage at finding mafios? One uncoronered dead player and we'll have no knowledge of how many is left, nor any clues regarding said players play so far, votes etc? As far as I can see, better two dead confirmed town than one unconfirmed dead?

Just dropping in to say sorry for not following up with my reads list and lack of proper commitment these days. Lots of shit hitting the fan, so to speak. I'll try to get it done today but no promises, unfortunately.

 

We're in a very interesting position here with the votes. Lots of different votes all over the place. Will make D1 interesting to look back on later with some flips.

 

The down side is that the biggest train is 3 votes out of 8, and a little less than 7 hours until deadline. NL will result in a no-coroner mod-kill, so we should certainly try to avoid that.

 

Really put out by all the policy-BS clouding this thread (no pun intended Cloud). Do this, do that, don't do this. Mentoring in a game like this is pointless as you'll never know who has who's best interest at heart.

 

Especially wierded out at Nolder giving me a hard time and a lecture for just providing one sentence explanation, saying that everyone else is not mind-readers... one should always explain ones vote with a logic case. And then he drops a unvote vote cloud out of the blue? Not even sure what to say here.

So i'd like to go back to the votes ;

 

 

First the Jack "train" -> Des votes against him, then Cloud then Vos, and Ame after. It seems their reasoning is almost the same, Jack making mountains of mole hills.

But there's people thinking that Cloud and Vos are suspicious about their weak reasons to vote ... but no one said anything about  Des. Why ?

 

Then a second train is built on Vos -> Wombat votes against him as he's supposed to have voted for weak reasons. But he said nothing about Des, nor Cloud at first. Wombat is followed by Jack on his vote against Vos (for opportunistic band wagoning). Lilly joins in and votes against Vos. Dap voted Vos too. I still see nothing about Des and i think it weird. The vote of wombat is quite timely as it starts a train against Vos but why picking him instead of CLoud or another.

 

Nolder voted against Kronos. Then wombat changes his vote for Kronos, instead of Vos.

 

Vos voted against Lily for not playing well enough in his tastes then votes again against jack.

 

Jack unvotes and goes against Ame, then Lily votes ame too.

 

Wombat votes against CLoud for fake scumhunting followed by Nolder.

 

Seeing that Cloud was left alone in place of Vos...and that we are getting closer to the DL

So we have Jack against whom Des voted, then Cloud then Vos, then Ame.

 

Wombat started another train on Vos because his reasons to vote against Jack were weak. But he says nothing against Des, nor Cloud. Jak, then follows Wombat and votes against Vos too.

 

For the moment, i tend to think that vos would be town.

Wombat could be to as he was the first one to post against Cloud. Nolder was the second.

 

Jack, why didn't you choose to vote against Vos and not Cloud or Des?

2. I meant in approaching inactivity, if it really pisses you off, you have two "choices" - modkill or lynch.

 

If the player is modkilled, day is still on and everything proceeds as before with one less player. No coroner

If the player is lynched and flips town, then he dies, Mafia probably gets in a NK and you proceed with two player less. Both with coroner. 

But anyway, that is "policy"-derailing. 

 

3. I did more than subtle push you, and I guess I more than subtly defended Cloud too. I've been led around my mafia before D1 for maybe being rash. So I was a bit wary of that. I should just have looked over at my shoulder at Cloud watching my back, rather than straight at you looking at me.

Lily isn't confirmed town, but basically LOCK CLEAR after her last minute hammer. Tinfoiling about that can wait till endgame.

 

Lenlo is practically confscum with the way he tied up the trains and then the goofy little distancing attempt him and Cloud had that was adorable.

 

Not sure how the lynch makes me feel on Nolderp, that might be a good thing to look for in my reread tomorrow night when I go back to work.

 

I will offer this bit of tinfoiling- Cloud seemed to have no problem tying himself to Amega, and neither interacted directly with the other even tho they were both heavily involved with back and forth involving the other. Not a good sign, and I also noticed how both seemed to want to link themselves to me a lot. In the case that Amega is scum, then Dap obv looks suspect for trying to clear him- but town!Dap would also prob try and clear someone using VC's after a scum flip.

 

And Wombat and Nol are right, Vos. A modkill for any inactives would be a boon for town unless it's endgame or something. It's less people to have to worry about trying to get a read on.

I find it funny you call me out when some people haven't even said anything yet. There hasn't been a game where I've place a serious vote before everyone has checked in.

 

That is not a good thing imo.

Wombat also didn't give any reasoning for his vote. Why didn't you call him out for it too?

1) Hes Wombat, thats what he does.

2) Seriously though look at what hes voting Vos for. Hes mocking Vos's own lack of reasoning for voting Jack with how he did his vote. With Wombat atleast it was obvious to my why he was voting, cause of Vos's incredibly weak reasons for voting Jack. He just did it in a smartass way, something I can appreciate.

 

Here, lenlo and cloud are discussing about wombat. Is it for the show or is it because Lenlo is town? There's some posts after this between the 2 of them

 

Let me 'splain.  No there is too much.  Let me sum up.  I am voting Vos because I found his vote the worst on the Jack train.  Cloud's is also pretty bad though.  The others are probably voting Vos because they don't like the Jack train, and they see Vos as a good countertrain, having already been voted.

 

Also, Cloud seems to be trying to look like he's scumhunting, but I don't like much of anything he's saying.  His statements are rather sophomoric for a player of his experience, and he's doing a lot of questioning and sheeping, things that scum like to do when trying to push an agenda without looking like they are.

 

I agree with Nolder and Dap about WBK, and I kinda like how Vos is responding right now, so I'ma switch to him.  Got my eye on Cloud.  He's probably dirty.

Again, wombat express disaproval of Kronos.

I also haven't seen any unreasonable long WOTs. I (for some reason) get why Jack is saying it, and he at least explains it. Then Lily comes and says "oh, yeah, is that ok? then me too, me too". Doesn't sit well at all. Bad excuse for skimming and getting an easy out of any incoherencies. Town wouldn't be too worried about that. Scum would.

FWIW I only read about 20% of these multiquote walls.  I just don't complain about them.  If people want me to read something, they should make it concise and to the point.  I'm not here to read a paper; I'm here to play mafia.

 

 

I too am pretty about all the complaining about wot's from Jack and Lily. I haven't seen any crazy long ones yet, they've all been manageable, and discouraging their use is basically discouraging others from posting all of their thoughts about the game, which is just blatantly antitown. More importantly saying you straight won't read them unless they're emphasized or something is gross, and really just an excuse to not respond to new points brought against either of them in the future. If I wasn't already voting Jack, I would be pushing a policy lynch on him now.

Also didn't like his recent AtE. This is the guy that self hammered himself as the Doc at lylo which lost the game for town... I don't see him AtEing about a mislynch on D1.

Hate to admit it but Kronos does look bad for some of his responses... And now we'll be dealing with a replacement. Bleurgh.

Besides that, Wombat could have switched trains to disassociate himself from teammates- while his reasoning made sense I also think it was too cautious of a move.

Vos train felt random and bizarro. Cloud seems town to me atm. Not sure on Lenlo yet but Nolder is pinging for over-fluffing instead of coming down with a stance on anything. Also not sure on Dap, but I should be able to pick up a read there soon. Amega seems to get more excited with town roles tbh, I'm thinking his activity level makes him >rand to be town. That's everyone I can think of atm.

 

 

These opinions really suck.  Lily almost always complains about walls.  And they're not discouraging you from sharing your thoughts.  They're just asking you to try to do it without going over 500 words or 4 quotes in one post.  It's not that hard.  L2Write.

 

Fearmongering about Jack and self-hammering/AtE is terrible.  He's a good player.  He knows how to play.  He just went emo a bit.  Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

 

My reasoning makes sense but it was too cautious.  But I also moved away from a train you didn't like.  Try to show a little more cognitive dissonance please.

Cloud asking Lily about Kronos, he could have been defending him ... Or tried to put some spotlights on Lily.

 

This thread is growing really tedious.  Got a town read on Vos now.  Cloud is still doing his fake scumhunting thing and now he's added semantic obfuscation to try to make Jack look bad.

Voting isn't always about who you think the scummiest is.  Attention must be paid to other votes as well.  Nolder had already voted WBK and Dap had expressed suspicion of WBK, so WBK was more likely to gain momentum than Cloud, and for D1, I saw both of them as fine trains.  Also, it could have given me info on whether Dap was actually suspicious of WBK or if he was just distancing from him while voting Nervositee for competing trains.  Unfortunately, the replacement thing kinda ruined it.  I'd normally vote WBK's replacement right now, but Dawn seems to be extremely new, so I don't see that as an avenue that will bring much information atm.  Looking forward to hearing from Dawn though.

We can trust his view on the subject cause he's confirmed torn but we cannot confirm his suspects. That read like you were trying to set up wbk/his replacement and hoping someone would pick up on it.
