[Basic] Blood Moon Mafia - Game Over.

So Hallia initially argues with Mish by insisting her way of playing isn't wrong. Okay, I can buy that. It's kinda villagery.

She votes for Des for being opportunistic on a Salami vote. There's some logic there, yeah.

But then comes the trouble. Her next post seems to come out of nowhere.

I asked her: "Hallia, what do you make of the case against Mish?"

She says: "It's early morning in Hallialand, I just got up and reread the thread, but I've gotta walk out the door to go to work, I'll post my thoughts on my lunch break.  However, @Tommy  I wasn't impressed with her response, but Despo's response was a null to me because I've seen him as mafia just go after me, but he would know that, so he could either actually be glad that I'm posting more, or just buddying.  Not sure yet either way.

Vote Mish"

^ Let's delve into this. She says Mish's case is really good or bad, as she's not sure yet either way. She says Despot's response was null.

So she goes from a vote on Despot, to saying both Despot and Mish are null, and then votes for Mish to put her at L-1, all within the same post? I'm sorry, but that makes no sense!

Now I know Hallia has a history of not making sense. I got her mislynched for that pretty easily in Salami's game. But she continues to not make sense.

"H'ok.  A couple of things.  Yes I did drop a fake lie-detector hint.  I know some people don't read set-ups, and the only people who should get up in arms about it would be scum.  Town wouldn't be worried about such a claim, and if scum got all antsy that's fine with me. (*cough*look someone didn't read the set-up*cough* ) XD"

^ This is clearly nonsense. And I don't think she's the type of player to be making weird, misconstrued gambits of that kind.

She follows up with more weird logic: "And then ^  Waiting for you to get online?  One can't be expected to know when everyone is or isn't online, else no one would ever get anything done!  No one hammered, I think this signifies a cautious mafia or a group anxious to save one of their own."

It seems a bit premature to say that Mish wasn't hammered so she has to be town... the wagon was: Mish (4) - GE, Cloud, Despot, Hallia

But Despot is a null/scum read for her at this point, so why does she completely dismiss the idea that scum is on that wagon? There's something missing from the logic here.

Note that she and Golden appear to have cleared each other since Golden is outright attacking me for going after Hallia, and Hallia has had no mention of him apparently, and must not think he's scummy since she said Mish wasn't hammered so that proves she's scum.

Hallia defends her vote in #131 by saying she went with her gut for the Mish vote (this isn't what she said when she made the vote though), and she never actually justifies what she did find scummy about Mish. She just says that since Mish voted her back, thats OMGUSing, and that must mean she's mafia. That's more bad logic.

Now, it's still possible that Hallia really just doesn't have a clear grasp of what is scummy and what isn't scummy in this game.

But when you add up a few things:

-I don't think Mish is overtly scummy

-Golden has had weird interactions with me in this game, and has been very reductive when he twists my words or creates straw man arguments

-Golden attacked me when I went for Hallia

-Golden and Hallia were both on the Mish wagon

I see a very distinct possibility that Hallia/Golden are the wolves.

But OF THOSE TWO PLAYERS, the one MORE LIKELY to be a wolf is probably Golden because Hallia is still kind of insane as I saw in our last game together. She looks terrible, really terrible, but I feel safer lynching Golden than her nonetheless.

Golden is strange.  Early on he had the opportunity to get emotional with Mish yet didn't.  Then got overly emotional in a defense of Hallia while throwing insults around.  Inconsistent..so why is that?  What is special about Hallia that he needs to play knight in shining armor?

Again..another case of defending a team mate...or attaching himself to vulnerable town?

Still, given Hallia's change in play...I think she is scum.  And if she were to flip scum...Golden looks bad.  If she flips town...it's still 50/50 on Golden.

I think it's more likely that Golden is scum for defending Hallia SO HARD as to put on a whole dramatic production about how I'm trying to pull attention away from Mish and such. I don't think anyone has as enough solid justification for wanting to lynch Mish as Golden seems to be trying to sell it. I don't think Mish is particularly scummy at all, I totally buy that she's busy and/or sick.

So Golden hard defending Hallia, someone who looks scummy, but hard attacking Mish and trying to get her hammered, when she doesn't look that scummy, is... ridiculous. He's either defending a scummate or defending an innocent townie for town cred, but either way I don't buy his act.

I suggest you vote for him too.

Tommy is obfuscating and trying to pull attention from Mish. Tommy/Mish scum team. The way he's going out of his way to defend her actually makes me think she has a scum PR. Mish has now moved on to Cloud, trying to throw shade on him.

Tommy, I don't like how you call people out for "weak cases" within the first 5 pages. Only joke or placeholder votes from you specifically are allowed and logical? Cause that makes no sense. I HAVE played on a scum team with you in Christmas mafia and while I died early, you should remember me from our scum QT. That game just ended. So yes, I have more insight as to how you play specifically because you gave reasons for how and why you were posting certain things. Your dismissal of this pings and you should know better.

I also didn't realize this until now, but he thinks I'm covering for Mish because she has a scum PR. That's funny; there are no scum power roles in JK9.

Nope I am town, not mafia or third party. What about you Mish?

Why the lie detector-like statement? We know there's none in this game. Awfully defensive there too for a joke.

Good morning lovelies.

Cool to see you again, Tommy! Happy you stayed around even tho my game was a total failure

I really dunno what Csarmi's talking about with copying posts.

Hallia, warning you now, proper gameplay or I'm gonna lead a policy lynch on you myself, not risking you hiding behind your meta as mafia again

There's nothing improper about my gameplay. Not being the same as yours doesn't make it wrong.

Fine, proper might not be the right word. Some actual gameplay then. When you actually do play, you've got good instincts, so it's a shame you use most of your mafia time on lurking or unrelated posts.

There was nothing joke-like about what you said to Hallia, it was condescending at best and insulting if taken on its face. You attacked the way she plays, calling it improper. When called out on it you then stated she does not engage in "actual gameplay" and instructed her to "actually play." Hallia's meta has been to read and then post when pressured to or when she has a point to bring up. Not being overactive is a perfectly acceptable form of gameplay. You then pawn it all off as a joke. As you're someone who consistently calls for an end to personal attacks in-game I find the above suspect, but not unusual.

Nice try at painting Hallia as defensive without fos'ing her or voting her though. Classic scum move setting people up to look bad for later.

Vote Mish

It's also worth noting that he goes after Mish originally because she attacked Hallia.

I could not disagree more with this entire "you voted me while I wasn't online" horrible line of argument. You live on an entirely different continent than I do. We all live all over the world. Csarmi is asleep while I'm playing soccer! I have NEVER seen some unwritten rule or agreement that people should wait until each other was online to vote for you. If that were the case Hallia and Pral would win every game!   You're making up a fake reason to be offended. Come on now

^  Waiting for you to get online?  One can't be expected to know when everyone is or isn't online, else no one would ever get anything done!   No one hammered, I think this signifies a cautious mafia or a group anxious to save one of their own.

You put me at L-1 when I'd stacked up quite a few votes without being online (as apparant by my lack of posts)... You risked someone hammering me without me even being able to answer those accusing me. How is that in any way a pro-town move?

It might also signify that the mafia all was on my train already, you "forgot" to mention that possibility...

^^ This, thank you for punting it out Hallia.

I'm vanilla; should've been obvious by my lack of claim. I'm talking about the fact that Hallia put me at L-1 and risking that I wouldn't even get the chance to claim or say anything before being hammered, since I hadn't been on for hours. Misrepping much? (I know you like that word).

Again, just making up things you think "should be obvious." I don't understand this at all. By virtue of your not claiming I should believe you're town? Insanity. You also contradict yourself here: You're upset that you might not get a chance to claim, but then you argue that your failure to claim is a defense in and of itself because you're obviously vanilla? Then why would you care that Hallia put you at L-1? Cause according to you, your lack of a claim is basically confirming you as town.

What, to give me time to think out a falseclaim or something? Really smart in an open set-up.

And the scenario you described might be just what Hallia wanted to happen... What if that person was a townie too? Two town down just like that. Great strategy.

I know it's a small game, so as I said before, I'd expect people to be a bit more careful with their votes because it takes so few to get someone lynched.

Why???? You've played by far the scummiest game so far and people are voting you. The real question is, why didn't you claim at L-2 and then start kicking and screaming to avoid a lynch? Instead, you've been sarcastic and are basically blaming the people for voting you of being anti-town. I've got news for you. Even if the entire scum team were on your train and you are town, there would still be townies on your train. I'd expect town Mish to raise a big stink here, you haven't = scum.

Buddying her again.

See a pattern?

It's such an obvious pattern that I'd suspect Hallia is the town and Golden is the scum in this situation.

Yeah, I misunderstood the setup initially. Feel free to vote me. I believe strongly Mish and Tommy are scum. Tommy's reasoning is suspect, but he's managed to make the whole thing about people avoiding his sanctimonious line of questioning. The fact that Tommy seems incapable of understanding my issue is with him is ridiculous, I know he's intelligent enough to realize this. As such, the whole argument is obviously staged on his part to cover for Mish, who he's been white-knighting.

Hallia, now is the time to begin distancing from Golden. It's going to look bad when he flips scum.

First part is whyme fryme, second part is pure hypocrisy.

Hallia, you should take more care to avoid wolves clearly taking advantage of you like this. Supporting Golden now only makes your position look even sketchier.

I've done all the work necessary for today, I'll let others weigh in now and stop hogging the limelight.

You're not answering me.

Didn't read your whole post tbh. Can answer fully tomorrow. But I saw your last question was do I think you're still scum? Possibly yes, but Golden is the more sure fire scum lynch IMO.

Simply cause you're proving to be as incompetent at scum hunting as you are arrogant in this game. Oh and you're obviscum

I see I am now scummier than Mish. I'll take that as progress since I doubt she's scum to begin with. But you're misrepresenting me again; I'll let the other players take it from here.

Goodnight.

So you dog me all day, harass me about 'not answering you' and then you do the exact thing?  Just because you didn't want to bother to read?  Talk about others not being on their A game.  Disappointed.

Posted

I'm insane? What does that even mean?

Seems to me that he's trying to say not logic driven and unpredictable, at least that's what makes sense in the context.

Posted

You're both overreacting I think.

It'd apparent that your styles do not match well. But Tommy is not being very aggressive here, actually quite timid compared to his he usually plays. I can attest to that.

Some agressivity helps with finding maffaiz too.
