I apologize if I came off annoyed, Tommy, but to be honest, I was. I don't play very well with uber-aggressive, dogged styles like yours. I don't really think you're scum, like Golden does, but I do agree that I find your constant badgering and demands for everyone to answer your questions and give their reads annoying. Salami, that's the kind of analysis I was waiting for. Golden couldn't have tried harder to make himself look scummy in our most recent exchange. I agree between him and Despot one of them should be scum. I'm guessing it's Golden -- almost everything he's done in his interactions with me has been ridiculous. Remember when he said I was being cute? Then he has me as lock scum with Mish as if a townie can't defend another townie? Tells me I'm scum pretending to be town leader to move people away from Mish when I'm just pointing out scummy behavior Hallia has done and he REFUSES to acknowledge any of it and acts like I'm an idiot?

People keep saying this, but if you think this is my aggressive game you have no idea, lol. I'm being super polite because I'm tired and don't feel like fighting but you guys are outright ignoring my good points. It's early morning in Hallialand, I just got up and reread the thread, but I've gotta walk out the door to go to work, I'll post my thoughts on my lunch break.  However, @Tommy  I wasn't impressed with her response, but Despo's response was a null to me because I've seen him as mafia just go after me, but he would know that, so he could either actually be glad that I'm posting more, or just buddying.  Not sure yet either way.

^ I did respond, and subsequently voted her because I no longer found my main scum read to be so bad, so I went to my next one.

 

Hallia's vote caught my eye more for her lack of developed reasoning... it just seems to appear. 

We'd been going back and for for a few pages, not sure how it just appeared?

 

 

Tommy is town, he didn't call me a crappy player for opening with "yo." He does that as scum.

^ Grabbed this because it caught my eye upon reread.  I know peace is on LoA so it could be nothing, but early on buddying like this with a bogus reason for saying someone is town is suspicious for me.  In the highly unlikely event that Mish is town, I'd poke around here.

 

 

 

Hallia's Mish vote pinged me and she's been precariously off topic since then, yet nobody is taking her to task for that. Why?  Because there was other stuff to talk about?  I also did continue, because I brought up how scummy her later OMGSUS vote on me was.  

 

 

When I look at them all together, I see a very flat attempt at scumhunting, at best.  I'm terribly sorry you feel that way.  You  don't know me, so for me I think I've been doing great this game.

 

The Despot vote, for one. If she is genuinely concerned with Despot's alignment, would she not question his motives? Interact with him in any way at all?  I did interact with him?  I saw elsewhere things that grabbed my attention more.  Minds change all the time.

 

She then jumps to Des because his response was... null? And because she thinks Mish is scummier now for "gut" reasons. I think the lie detector trap idea is ludicrous. I am town and it caught my attention. How you would know that only scum would make that a talking point is absurd.

I didn't say that only scum would make it a talking point, I said only scum would get tripped up by it.  I also didn't read the setup until last night, sue meh!

 

The "no one hammered" line is only good if we know the wagon has no scum in it. One or both of the wolves could have been; we don't know yet. I say this is bad logic.   Or one was the wolf, and her teammate was reluctant to hammer her.

 

She then more or less exits from the arena.  I said where I was going (work) and also posted on my lunch break.  Gotta work to make a livin' good sir!

 

There's a lot of misinformed logic at play in her reasoning... and what I see as underdeveloped and opportunistic voting. I don't know her well enough to say this couldn't be her (lousy) town game, so I would like all other players to comment on her post history.  Again, you don't know me.  I think my play is much better, so to call it lousy is where I decided to avoid you.

 

Meanwhile, I am sufficiently suspicious to apply pressure where I think pressure is due.

Ok guys..sorry for my absence..working day shifts this week and it's been very difficult to participate from work.  And I don't spend too much time on the puter when at home with my wife.  Not fair to her considering my work schedule.

 

First..I don't see why people are piling on Tommy.  He is aggressive..but not negative aggressive.  Get over it.  It's not like he called anyone a "crappy player" in his first post or anything.  :P

 

I have a ton of mixed reads.  Some who have started out very scummy have turned town, and very town turn scummy.

 

Golden has gone for reasonable succinct player to emotional mess defender of the maiden.

 

Mish has gone from uber scummy to most likely town.  Her failure to claim at l-1 is a town tell to me.

 

Despo is walking the fine line...like he usually does.   I can go either way with him.

 

Tommy...I'm watching for a few things on him.  Not ready to give a read yet.

 

Alanna.  Definitely town.

 

Cloud...coasting which leads me to slight scum.

 

unCsarming - Scum lean.  But need to watch some more.

 

 

Here's a question - from a scum POV, what would be the point of pretending to not be familiar with the game setup? So Despo did that just to further his case on Mish? Super sloppy move, since it's a given others will immediately jump on him for making this mistake (as, you know, several people have). I just don't buy it.

 

Classic town-slip type move that scum would make.  There is a great reason for doing it. Playing dumb works.

What do you mean from this statement?  We've played 3 games together.  1 I was scum...and another I pegged you after your 2nd post as scum.  Your being emotional and throwing jabs at people is your flaw and scumtell.  You'd think you'd wrap it up.  It's amazing you give Despo crap about being emo when you are the much bigger queen.

I'm not trying to be "cute" when I say that asking people to question you is a very wolfy thing to say. Wolves like to do that because it gives the impression of being active and invested while being reactive and not having to produce actual pro-active content. I am still comfortable with my vote on you because you have been overly melodramatic in this game and have purposefully tried to spin my reasoning into obscenely reduced versions of what I am actually saying while being a major hypocrite.

How is being consistent with her gameplay give you a scum read? The things you point out could absolutely be a sign of a player who is not all that effective early in the game. Perhaps you should switch from civil back to bombastic? Your "civil gameplay" style is ineffectual.

I do not make that assumption, why do you conclude that? I even said I believe Hallia is a less experienced player. That does not excuse her from making opportunistic votes or dogging all of my questions because I'm apparently a meanie poo poo pants. 

 

Just reply to all of the points individually; don't wrap it up into "your assumptions are wrong." You are, again, creating and attacking a straw man argument that I did not make. 

 

I said asking for questions is scummy, and it is. You should go forth and conquer the thread if you're town, but you've been on the defense... for Hallia... all day. It's weird. If you do not see why your behavior is weird then I don't know how to help you.
