So when are we lynching Hoof and Turin?

And Peace you were more aggressive in this game then I'm used to seeing from you, and mafia does tend to be more aggressive than town.

Pfft, eagerly pushing for an easy hoof lynch, are we? not AGAIN....*yawn*

Missed this before but what do you think of Leelou seemingly pushing that same angle on both you and me?

Current thoughts on the List of Players:

  • 12 - Nolder: didn't like his advice to BFG. Also didn't like that he called cloud out for actively trying to get a lynch on D1. There is no such thing as pressuring without the intent to lynch. it is like saying that you are voting someone to pressure them. If the votee doesn't think that you are serious then they will just ignore your vote. Also has been fairly reasonable which is usually a sign of mafia Nolder. slight edge to mafia lean.

I agree and I've said so many times before. However there is a difference between voting someone with serious intent and cheerleading their train and trying to build it up.

Also my town meta to you is to be unreasonable?

Wtf? :(

WHAT!?

Ok, no, timeout!

Real talk for a moment since you wanna go out of game on me here.

I am one of the most reasonable people you can have a serious discussion with if you are not sarcastic or overly insulting to me.

Once that happens then yes I can and will act like a jackass because I'm not going to give someone who's being a jerk any respect when all they do is make ad hom arguments and just treat me like crap. But you can ask most D&D regulars, especially the people I argue with often. When both sides affords each other a reasonable amount of respect and consideration I will happily discuss any subject that interests me for days upon days. And I am not unreasonable while doing so. Agreeing with your opponent is not a prerequisite to being an agreeable person and while it's true I don't often have my mind changed my mind is not closed to possibilities. You might know some of this if you spent any real time participating in the D&D.

Hi guys, I am really sorry for not being active but this is my first day out of the bed :( I didn't wanted a virus from Santa but that was what I got. Those who have played with me know I am not inactive in any way, so I am trying to catch up. A lot going on and not necessarily words I like but I will post in a bit a more substantial piece

Oh, uhh, well this is awkward.

I didn't realize the reason you've been MIA was because you were bedridden.

Well you can scratch out my attacks on your activity (or not, if you want).

I'll try to judge you from this post onward.

12. Nolder - strongest read at the moment, minor - spends time picking at the rules in Day 1.

Picking? Nope, clarifying.

I think it's important to understand the rules before going into a game.

How many of you even thoroughly read them before posting? Hmmm? Be honest.

In my last game I had to modkill two people who didn't follow the rules.

Like it or not it's important.

Odd, he knew the game had started so why not sort this out on Night 0,

I didn't know the game had started.

If you recall I even noted this in one of my initial posts.

med - buddies/defends Elf early on, esp odd after telling me not to with Peace.

Did I ever answer criticism for her though?

That's the difference. Let players feel the heat from other players attacks is what I was trying to say.

Unless you know who's town and who's mafia you want to see how they'll react to the attacks.

Major - seemingly has Cloud as a mafia read, but doesn't vote.  In fact doesn't vote till voting Hallia for inactivity recently, no mention of what happened to his read on Cloud. I've only played one game with him, so would appreciate other peoples reads, but Town Nolder prods and pokes and votes, jumps trains and tries to figure it out, his play so far seems like coasting.

I didn't want to vote Cloud at the time.

Felt like it was too early, which is exactly what I was criticizing him for more or less.

As for my vote on Hallia. It was easy and fit in with my activity level at the time.

I was barely active so I went after other low/inactive players because I couldn't keep up and properly case anyone else.

You can call that coasting. I accept that label. It was the best I could do at the time.

As I said a few posts ago, I am now armed and fully operational. :P

I realize no one has to give me an opportunity to prove myself but as long as I'm not dead I'll be doing my best from here on out.

Most likely mafia pairings at this point: one of Turin/Krak (they probably aren’t aligned), if it’s Krak then Nolder is likely to be mafia also, if it’s Turin then odds of Peace being mafia go up; someone in the Hoof/Hallia/Theo pile, probably Hallia or Theo more than Hoof. The Via/Golden interaction and OMGUS vote feels forced to me. Hallia jumping on Golden’s wagon makes me feel better about Golden not being mafia though. It’s possible we are looking at Hallia/Theo/Via scumteam? Krak/Nolder?

This is a good example of why linking people is bad if you don't know what you're doing.

Guess what Tommy, we are all playing this game and we are all going to give opinions about each other.

Just because I named Krak as my town lean at the time we're now linked as partners?

What happens when we're both town and I just happened to have a good read?

What happens if I'm scum and I only said that to implicate Krak?

What if I'm scum and I thought most people would think that so I did buddy my partner?

You're WIFOMing blind here buddy and it's one of the most disgusting posts I've seen so far in this game.

I don't think she was. She made a humorous comment about me, and basically joke-voted you. Your insistence that she was pushing for either of us to be lynched comes off as paranoid and pings for me.

yeah, I will second you on this, Nolder. Nolder is not an unreasonable debater- frequently wrong, yes, but not unreasonable

Turin was probably making a joke though, but it was just conveyed poorly.

There's a lot of votes on Nolder. If he flips town we should go after Hallie.

It's interesting that you spent the time to link me to Krak only to assume I'd flip town and then target Hallia.

I reacted poorly to your snarkiness, I should've gone ahead and found it, and for that I'm sorry Nolzorz

You can tell that to my corpse at this rate. >_>

Also with Tommy hopping off there's really no point in voting you anymore I guess.

##Unvote

Now the question is, self preservation or symbolic vote?

I was kind of annoyed and preoccupied at the time but I responded badly to this.

My problem was, as I've mentioned many times now, lack of time. So when I came into the thread I wanted to use the time I had to participate and show everyone I could still be useful and give input. And then you basically threw a wrench at me and called me lazy. That kind of sucked since all I wanted to do was read whatever posts you thought were important. It reminded me of Peace at the beginning of the game being needlessly difficult and not explaining his vote and just got me really frustrated. But yeah I didn't need to respond like that, especially after you apologized. So I'm sorry for that. Let's call it even?

Ninjaed but never mind

Obviously I don't have the time right now to read some of the massive posts some people have made but rest assured when I get to them you'll hate me because I'll just be spamming the thread with catchup. Ketchup? Anyway...

I see Hallia hasn't voted anyone yet. Has she even posted since I voted?

I don't want to bury my vote over non participating because it's a null tell but I'm reluctant to vote people who are participating without better reads on them.

Eh whatever. Sorry but this is the best I can manage right now. Next week you'll probably be sick of how much I'm posting but for now you'll have to settle for this.

I will switch to Golden if Krak's train won't take off.

I have no issue voting Krak, either.

I don't see where Theo is going to get us right now though.

Might get us 1 up on scum. :P

It's not uncommon to see mafia, at least some of them, lay low on day 1 and let townies tear into each other.

Contradicting yourself here

I'm not seeing the contradiction. Explain please?

Posted

Nolders refusal to vote one of the larger trains is suspicious.

Nolder, can you explain why you were trying to start a brand new train just before the deadline?

Tommy hopped off and I wasn't expecting to pick a train back up on Hallia.

Besides which I was off on a theory about inactives and Leelou so my next best guess was Theo.

If you are trying to imply that the train "obviously" wouldn't have taken off I'll remind you that about 7 or 8 people were online and posting around that time.

These don't look good for Nolder.  He's got a weird attitude at this point, arguing semantics with Hallia about being lazy (worthless) - the whole "I could turn around and call you lazy" part is pretty unnecessary and I think it's clear that Hallia shouldn't be doing his work for him.  Then he comes out with that random AtE and ends with a "I don't want to vote you but I'm voting you."  This reads weird for NOlder and definitely could be scummates distancing.

Don't want to bring this up again so soon after burying the hatchet but fyi my parting shot was my way of saying well I was going to read your posts and possibly come to the conclusion you're town but because you wanted to argue about it instead of just throwing a link at me I couldn't so now you're just going to have to deal with my vote being on you for the time being. I can see how it would read I don't want to vote you but I'm voting you, but it's slightly more nuanced than that.
