So my iPad just arrived...

With T-Mobile's free data for life deal, I decided it was time to upgrade my device because I travel a lot, and hotel/airport wifi, and sometimes school wifi leave a lot to be desired at times. (Now if I can just sell my iPad 2 to cover half the cost...)

 

Anyways, all that to say... my iPad Air arrived today! And after holding it, then holding the iPad 2, wow... the difference is pretty big. And heavy. And TOTALLY worth the extra few dozen meals of Ramen we'll be having to financially compensate!

Well, I DID buy it for school. (Yay, tax write-off!) BUT I have spent a lot of the last few hours playing some new games!

lol I love my android tablet - Galaxy Note 10.1...and I have the Galaxy S4 phone.....sooo yeah lol I did almost get the Microsoft surface instead of the tablet, and I'm starting to regret not having done so because I really want a bluetooth keyboard for my tablet

I just spent a considerable amount of time making a slow jam loop in Garage Band. This solves the problem of what I can do for music when I start doing original films in my lego stop motion instead of Lord of the Rings. At least, unless I really need some wind instruments-- only keys, guitar (a couple styles), and drums. I think I can add a few other options if I pay extra. Very fun though.

 

So far, besides the insane difference in weight and dimensions-- much less awkward to hold the iPad in a game that requires it be held like a controller-- the other big difference is more in that I opted for the 32gig instead of 16... now I actually have room for some of the things that make a tablet so useful!

Memory is so incredibly necessary. I got really upset at the guy who sold me my new phone. When I bought it I mentioned that I didn't need to buy another microSD card because I had one from my old phone. I tried to put it into my new phone, couldn't figure it out. Got online and found out my new phone is not memory expandable... And then they act like they can't believe that memory is THAT important to me...Urghh!
