Mafia was somewhat underpowered without the claim even, but also town could lose pretty fast if doing foolish things like lynching lover d1 (which is bad if town lovers but much worse if mixed lovers, see dead thread why).

I agree with you both. I was actually reconsidering Csarmi's idea on claiming if you had a true character or not after he flipped town, but after seeing a couple of players speaking out against the idea I just decided to drop it. It was more fun to win this way anyhow.

I think 2 pairs of lovers was a bit much, especially since it took out 3 townies. I really wouldn't call it an advanced game though, maybe slightly unbalanced.

I would have labeled this a standard game..not basic.   And it was slightly unbalanced...slightly.  A GF would have balanced it probably.  Good game.  We lost though cause we played horribly.  Town deserves this victory.

First of all, I do understand the basic concepts of the game. I'd say I understand them much better than most, actually. Showed just fine this game, too.

 

Second, I don't make things personal, and certainly not often. This game was an exception. You don't seem to have any grasp on my gameplay or any recent read on my play or my meta in general, as it was evident from what you posted in the game (though you obviously had to manipulate stuff there).

 

Thirdly, I'll thank you for not trying to say which games I belong in and which games I don't.

 

Now my analyses are usually spot on. Cause that's what I do best. They certainly were in this game.

No, I'm doing just fine. Something was wrong on the middle of this D1, still not sure what. Probably a couple of little in-game and Rl stuff adding up.

That kid throws a temper tantrum and decides to basically goes "Right if i cant have my way im taking my ball and going home!  see if you can play now!"  and he takes the ball, goes home and ends the game because of a tantrum

with such a small team we could not afford to kill despo and one the other lovers flipped town/town it became pretty obvious the other one would be town/scum

I'd def say the game was walking a very fine line for a basic. And it was unbalanced. The lovers made it very unstable in such a very small game. And the mafia was a underpowered, especially with the cop role working like it did and no godfather-mechanic. Good idea for the theme, but I would first of all have just made it not allowed to character-claim at all (quite common in games where character claims can break a game easily) and gotten rid of the lovers personally.

And big props to Des for catching Verb, although I'd given him a slight FoS he was not on my radar and I think it would have taken too long for me to notice him otherwise.
