I grew up listening to rock and metal mostly due to influences by my best friend. I think it's the best music to listen to when hanging out with a friend ha ha. A lot of fun. Although I don't listen to these genres as much, they are still the shows I'll go to in a heartbeat and the CDs I'll instabuy. Some of my favorites in no particular order really, I've been lucky enough to see a lot of them live:

-U2

I love music but I feel I have been born long after things happened. I like some of the new stuff of some of the bands like Rammstein, Muse, Moonspell indeed, but my all time favourites have been long gone from the stage (or Earth), or few people listen to them.

I have gone to some amazing concerts but still so much to see and MTV is not what it was to our parents - I can't listen to 99.99 % of it. Most  of my peers enjoy very different music than I do.

 

Taltos, I absolutely adore Korpiklaani and you should check Eluveitie and Ensiferum and I am sure you will find something precious there.
