Not sure about whether you should skip night, actually. Unless you are 100% sure that you can skip before scum can submit. I can't see how that could be guaranteed. If they beat you to it, you will have stopped all of town's actions (or most anyway).

Trying to skip night might be so risky that I might be better off leaving the doc I hope we have to do his thing. Problem is I feel like scum would be ready to sacrifice the lovers at this point.

Well, we lynched Nolder D1 and he claimed rolestopper. If he wasn't lying, that's a doc type role out.

We might have a Jailkeeper out there, or smth like that, or just some regular doc so it's still a WIFOM on the maffia.

I didn't like his "symp signal" post. His D1 gave me a slight scum read. Aemon's posts are meh too. A couple of them pinged me.

Yeah def thinking he's scum again. At least that its a good possibility. He has changed his stance on my alignment I don't know how many times, just to fit the situation (remember like, hours ago when he was talking about how he thought me and Mish were both town? And was using that to fearmonger about the loss of three townies. Now he's convinced one of us is scum, and is pushing that I am. Talking out of both corners of his mouth. Wouldn't mind a shot in that direction at all right now.

I'm against a lover lynch.

When you're driving blindly, you don't speed up your car.

 

We have 12 players (5 dead) and still in the dark as for the game mechanics - well, frankly put, in the dark about a lot of things (gold names, Nyn's frailty, Mish's inability to move her vote, usefulness of a cop, kind of roles around - just to name a few).

 

The faster we decrease the number of players, the worse off we'll be.

 

Our power roles will get one action per night, most likely. The faster we go, the lower amount of information we end up with. Getting rid of 3 towniesplayers* right now (putting us down to 9 players by night, who knows how many by next day) seems very contraproductive to me.

The only thing that changed that I realized that it could be even worse if we trust the wrong side: we might just give scum a day shot (which could be even worse than usual cause that could be used to take out RTE).

Either way, CS is either scum or townie that is completing stalling discussions and lynches, so needs to go imo.

 

Also, might as well get this out: We can't try to rely on information that never comes. This is a bastard game. Anyone truly think Verbal might start being nice and giving us coroner reports? Anyone think we'll be able to get much out of investigative roles with all the wifom about what you "appear as"? Anyone truly confident that we have a Coroner type role out there, and that it hasn't died yet or isn't picking the right bodies to examine?

 

Which is why we need to be approaching this situation differently. This isn't driving in a car blind, because there's really no way that could end well, whereas, despite what Verbal may say, we CAN win this game. A better analogy might be that we have a bug infestation in our house. We can't see them, so don't know how many are left, but we'll know when they're all gone. And all we have is a flamethrower. Well, you're gonna be burning up some personal possessions, and there's gonna be some collateral damage, but that's the only way you KNOW you got all of them.

 

I propose that after we can feel confidently that we have at least 5 good candidates for dead scum (4 horseman plus w/e generic scum there might be out there, or as a cushion in case were wrong about one of the bodies), we then try and lynch Verbal. And I can guarantee you that I'm town, so I'll at least be trying to kill mafia. Mafia will only kill town, so we need to try and keep the numbers in our favor to give us a chance to win. If I'm right, and I shoot right, we can end up trading off 2 scum for 1 town. We can see what character certain players flip as, or other relevant info comes up to determine possible alignment. And then boom, that could be game for town.

 

So quit fearmongering about possibly killing people. This game can't be won while scum are around. Only way to win is to take a shot.

OMG are you kidding me dude? If we were BOTH scum, then that would be GREAT for town because you'd have two scummies sitting in your hand ready to lynch.

 

And one possibility which you failed to include, which I think is very likely, is that Mish is scum and we lynch Mish. and that you learn that I'm telling the truth.

 

This aint a blind shot at all btw. Multiple people have cased Mish. If she's scum, she's gotta go. And there's risk, but there's also potential reward as well. As I said, we could have one dead townie, me, and two dead mafias, you and Mish potentially, for the day. I'd say it's more than worth a shot.

 

Oh but I did forget to say that I do greatly appreciate the deadline extension, RTE (assuming Verb confirms it). That def makes my theory about you and the gold text seem slightly less likely.

Actually, this is all I have on BErf/Aemon:

 

Berf's D1 play felt a little off (somehow his summary post seemed different than it normally is) and the "symp signal" caught my eyes.

Then he disappeared (making it harder to read him, yup, I understand that something must have come up, but he still missed a lot and that's convenient for a scum).

Aemon - well, there was something wrong with his golden talk. Sounds a little like fishing for information (which might not be an entirely bad thing actually in this type of game, but still). He raises a lot of good points, however. Maybe a little too many actually.

 

Yup, it's even less than I thought I had.

 

I'm wary of him. Worth a good pressure train at this point to get him talk more.

Next three on my list are Wombat, Nyn and Darthe.

I don't have a meta read on Nynaeave at all (cause I don't know her play much, only played with her in the ALT game), I just tend to disagree with most of her posts, don't like her late miller reveal and the wifom on her from N1.

I have a slight scum read on Darthe/Wombat, mostly because of D1 activity (both made joke vote, then somehow turned them into real-looking ones).

Krak is a special case - almost no play, should be pressured.

Lily is a special case because of the claim (she was my strongest scum read).

Mish/Despo are the lovers. Wouldn't wanna touch them now.

 

I don't have any sort of read on Tina (yea I know I should, maybe I'll have more if I manage to read up (didn't expect to be able to read up until deadline but if RTE's truthful, I think I'll be able to).

 

I'm wary of Lenlo (mentioned that already), it's a special case again. I really don't have emuch of a grasp on his D2/D3 play, but his D1 was lynch, or at least pressure/reveal worthy and he got out with either, then never got run again.

Despo, I meant to write "both town", should be evident from the context. I didn't include the "best case scenario", yes. Don't seem so very hot that we should take this risk for it.
