Greek Mythology: Man Vs. Gods [Advanced] - GAME OVER - TOWN WINS!

The rules:

• You may not quote any part of any private communication I have with you. This includes PM’s, QT boards, or IM convos.
• You may not edit your posts.
• CHARACTER CLAIMS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Role claims are fine. Do not hint at your character. Slight hints are ok but that is at my discretion. You will be punished if you go too far.
• This is a hammer game. When the hammer vote is cast, any other votes and unvotes will not be counted.
• If you have been hammered, you are dead. There is some leeway in posting before the Mod puts up the scene but at that point you are dead and should no longer be "playing the game".
• Votes and unvotes need to be bolded and red, and you must have the word Vote in the same format before the person's name.
• You must unvote before voting again.
• Please send all day/night actions to me via your Role PM AND in the QT. I will be following both closely but that way is safest.
• If no majority is reached by the deadline, I will modkill a random player and no coroner info will be given. Each time no majority is reached, the number of players randomly killed will increase by 1.
• No discussing the game off thread unless you have been given a QT board. Period.
• Day 1 will be a maximum of 1 week long. After that Days will be no more than 72 hours long and nights will be no more than 24 hours. Adjustments will be made for weekends. Please bear in mind that I would rather a shorter night but I am doing this for convenience's sake. Please don't try to abuse this.
• After death, you get one "Bah!" post that may not contain any game-related information.
• Self-voting and voting No Lynch are allowed.
• I dont mind chatting with players. Feel free to ask questions and stuff, either in the game or via PM if you prefer - but also respect if I tell you to PAFO.
• I'm in the Eastern Timezone, currently on UTC-5. Don't expect me to be awake ALL the time. I stay up pretty late usually and will do my best to make sure to set deadlines when I am around so that people don't have to wait.
• Stay active. At least one game related post per day, preferably more. Playing Quiet or Playing Loud are bother perfectly valid styles and I'm not going to call you out on either. If you have a genuine reason for inactivity please let me know.
• I shouldn't have to include this but don't make things personal. Personal insults/threats/harassment will not be tolerated. If there is an issue PM me.
• Breaking of any rules will result in PRs being handed out or worse. You've been warned.
• I am your Mod-God. I am the law. Don't make me Mod-Kill you plz.

The morning sun was slowly rising across the horizon, its rays emerging from behind the great mountain known as Olympia, home of the Gods. In a meadow nearby lay Persephone (Hallia-Town) in the long grass, quickly growing and flourishing beneath her touch, as she enjoyed the cool moisture of the morning dew. She intended to soak in every ray available to her, as Autumn was slowly dawning upon them and soon she would return to her kingdom deep beneath the Earth...

 

In a nearby village people stirred as the sun heralded the start of a new day... And atop Olympia, the Gods stirred as well...

 

It is now Day 1. All Role PMs have been sent out. You may now post. No Deadline has been set... Yet.

Anyway: Wombat

 

I've never heard of a wombat-god, so you must be a Titan

Nice myth (from http://www.tasmania-attractions.com/publedina.html) :

 

The Tasmanian Aboriginal Story, Publedina - The Wombat, tells the story of how the wombat came to be recognised as clever, brave and strong.

 

The Drogerdy was a furry animal who loved to play in the bush. It enjoyed playing tricks on other creatures. Most of all it enjoyed outsmarting humans who often came into the bush to hunt.

 

One day the Drogerdy found a group of men who had been hunting for food, but without success. Unknown to the men, the Drogerdy had been warning the forest animals, telling them to stay away from the men. This had made it even more difficult for the men to get any food.

 

The men decided to stop and get some rest. After warming themselves by a fire, they slowly dropped off to sleep.

 

While they slept, the Drogerdy got up to its usual tricks. It started to kick ash and sparks from the fire into the faces of the men. It kept doing this until finally the men awoke in pain and fright. Then it ran off to hide.

 

The Drogerdy enjoyed all this very much and laughed heartily to itself. The men were astonished but could not work out what had happened. Eventually they put it down to the wind and went back to sleep.

 

The Drogerdy got back into action again. This time it could not stop itself even when the men started to wake up. It did not run off but kept up its playful antics.

 

Eventually one of the men managed to grab the Drogerdy.

 

The men decided to keep the Drogerdy buried in the ground through the night. They next day they would take the Drogerdy with them for food. One of the men even slept above the ground where the Drogerdy lay, to make sure it would not get away.

 

The next morning the men were surprised to find that the Drogerdy was gone! When they investigated, they saw the Drogerdy tunneling away underground. They tried hard to get hold of it but to no avail.

 

At last they called upon Moihernee, the great god who ruled over the whole land. Moihernee was scornful toward the hunters. He told them that instead of complaining, they should admire the Drogerdy for being so clever.

 

The men began to feel ashamed. They were upset about being rebuked by Moihernee. They considered what Moihernee had said to them.

 

After some time they realised that the Drogerdy was only having fun. They should not be upset at the Drogerdy. They thought about how silly they had been and began to laugh.

They decided to call out to the Drogerdy and let it know that they were not angry with it anymore.

 

The Drogerdy was not sure if it could trust the men. However, it knew it could escape if necessary, so it finally decided to return to the men.

 

Then men apologised to the Drogerdy. They called it "brave little digger with no tail". They gave it a new name - Publedina - and said it would be bigger and stronger. It was free to dig and play anywhere.

 

And this is how Publedina (or the wombat) came to be known as clever, brave and strong.

I've seen a role like that before ... Innocent child or something. Is a Mod confirmed alignment role. There was one in the Labyrinth Game - but we still didn't really trust it lol.

Here! Really excited about this one, I freaking love Greek and Roman mythology. Looks like we already got a confirmed townie too, that's kinda interesting. Seems like Hallia is an Innocent Child perhaps, wonder if she elected to be confirmed already or if the role was designed like that. Either way, even tho character claims aren't allowed, this leads me to believe Demeter is in the game (Persephone's mom). Altho, she def seems like a "good" God, so I don't know how that would fit into the theme if it's Man vs. Gods...

 

Anyways I'm babbling. Let's get the game rolling!

Doesn't matter how it was coded, "joke" votes are coded the same as real votes

 

Now you're saying it was random.org? .... Eh I might be able to buy that I guess. Just checked it again, it does look kinda random I guess. Problem I have now is, you seem to be trying to act too nonchalant about explaining why it was random. All jokey and including a smilie... my vote stands for now.

 

Hallia could have told him in her role pm to confirm her immediately, assuming she was on when RTE was sending out pm's. The fact that she hasn't checked in yet however leads me to believe this wasn't the case, and that the role was designed to confirm her immediately.

Have you seen the color-discussion between Ithi and Des? I used all the colors they proposed, just to make them happy 

 

btw, for the timing, in my time zone, RTE made his first post at 8:31 am. So, unless he started sending pms an hour before, Hallia was already in bed by that time.
