Sorry I wasn't here this morning, guys.  I got really sick and feverish last night and I'm still feeling kind of out of it.

Congratulations to BG for winning Ultimate Victory.  Also congratulations to Pralaya for a heroic mafia debut as a Bus Driver.  Congratulations to Tina for some very good scum play.  If night actions had worked out differently, you very well may have won T3.  Finally, congratulations to Serra for excellent play of the Outsider role.  You didn't get any points, but you almost secured 3 for everyone in your team.

 

 

As you can see, each thread had 3 full mafia, 3 Outsiders, 1 Traitor, and 16 town.  The town roles for each thread always included Vig, Bus Driver, and Jailkeeper.  Threads 1 and 3 had a Cop.  Threads 1 and 2 had a Doc.  Thread 2 had a BPV, and Thread 3 had a Bomb.  The mafia roles were also slightly different between threads.  The Vengeful Mafia was replaced with a Mafia BPV in T3 and there was no Mafia Roleblocker in T2.

 

 

We decided on role combinations that would make the setup difficult to break but would also give everyone a non-VT role.  After that, slots were randomized.

 

 

Finally, the Outsider role:

 

The Outsiders were an inter-thread scum faction that could only win if no one else got 3 points.  As you may have noticed, no one was mafia in all 3 threads.  So the easiest way for the Outsiders to win would have been to help the mafia win in all 3 threads (Although they could technically still win by being the last faction standing in one thread).  For this reason, and in order to keep them undercover if they got lynched or killed, the Outsiders flipped as Mafia Traitors with slight flavor hints.

 

The Outsiders had some unique abilities to help them towards this end.  First of all, the Outsiders had one kill each night between all three threads.  This kill could not be used on the same thread or the same player on consecutive nights.  That's where the "extra" kills came from.  Also, each night in each thread, the Outsiders could capture actions targeting one player.  These actions would go into a pool the Outsiders kept (maximum stoarage of 3) and could be released again at any time in any thread as long as they were used on the same player.  In this way, the Outsiders could have re-directed kills, heals, cop viewings, roleblocks, and jailings to cause a right nuisance.

 

The only things they could not capture  were the Bus Drivers' actions.  This was for practical and balance concerns.  We wanted to town to have a counter to the Outsiders' capture and it also would have been extremely hard to figure out how to deal with a Bus Drive that had one end of it scooped up by the Outsiders.  They also were not allowed to use their action to capture their own kill in order to avoid their restrictions or to capture actions that could have prevented their kill.

 

I actually expected more chaos to be caused by the Outsiders' abilities, but they got a bit unlucky.  Also, the mass power role deaths in T2 played a part in that (not that town power role deaths didn't already benefit the Outsiders).
