Yeah you are right, but I still think your playstyle brings certain risks with them because you overanalyze everything that's going on in the game and are often right. It makes you a very good target for the mafia, and to a lesser extent scared townies that are unable to get a read on you. But like you said, you can only play as yourself, and I guess the other players should just learn how to adapt to your play.

 

So basically - you want me to be morer wrong about stuff?

No, but you can choose to bring the info you want to the game in a less agressive way that won't result in getting you killed all the time. Anyway, it isn't important. Just play how you want :)

I care about vicous play from both girls and boys... But I rarely speak out about it, because it's frowned upon to criticize others for being aggresive or vishious. It's all gameplay and should only be taken as such after all.

I am straight forward and to the point. I don't suck up or flirt. I challenge people if I think they have made a mistake or I believe them to be Mafia.

 

Yes - I think I get a more negative rap for playing like that, than I would if I were male. Because I should be more cuddly and sweet and all that. Negative values are assigned - challenging becomes aggressive, calling out mistakes becomes nasty and vicious and insulting.

 

I'm sorry - but I'm never going to blow kisses and sit in laps. That is the stuff that makes ME feel uncomfortable.

 

And I'm sure it's very easy to forget I'm a person too.

Don't get me wrong. Personally I have nothing against the way Ithi plays, and I even believe that she's one of the best players on DM. I didn't mention her play because I'm bothered by her "aggressiveness" in game, I only started the conversation because of her previous post where she mentioned that she gets often killed early on by either the mafia or the town, and I think she can easily improve on that part by changing her high risk / high reward playstyle a little. She then explained that she can't do that because she can only play as herself, and I agreed with her. I didn't mean for the conversation to get this serious and emotional. And no, my posts have nothing to do with the fact that Ithi is a woman and I'm also not a sexist, thank you very much.
