Ape (John MacClane) had a very good post that I can't find for the life of me now.

 

The main message:

 

"The aim of maffia is not tosurvive, but to have your team win. A lot of players here play to survive."

 

That's been a big revelation for me and that's why I had a completely different meta last game - I played to win.

As the tournament wore on it became apparent that the chips we accumulating amongst 3 players.  The thing that bothered you about this was that these 3 players seemed to benefit the most from the untimely and unfortunate exits of 3 other players.  There was just something fishy about all that.  Unfortunately before you could put all the pieces together and say something Tsukie, Csarmi and Andej were chopping the pot and high fiving each other.  Not Bob was their latest victim.  He just couldn't fend off a three player attack at his chip stack.  With him gone the tournament was wrapped up.

 

Not Bob - regular poker player (vanilla town) has been lynched.

BG got lynched without a viewing. Is that the end of an era?

 

Not quite. I've been lynched a total of 4 times in my days (Maybe one or two more I forgot to record in my log)

 

1. I got myself lynched as town on purpose because I was an enabler for roles like Bus Driver and wanted to get the role out of the game cause it was causing horrible problems.

 

2. Wombat's all vanilla game I got lynched Day 1 as town. That was right after a high mafia win streak and nobody believed a word I said.

 

3. Was lynched final day of the BT: Light vs. Shadow II game as town

 

4. Was lynched as mafia in Talya's Light vs. Shadow after attempting an epic fake claim that would have won the game if the NK went through and also immediately exposed I was lying after the lynch. It worked, but then Wombat Doc'd the right person and I died in a glorious blaze of defeat.

I stick to my opinion BG, at this point the town needs to discuss, play, whatever and cop should do what he feels is best to do.

 

What was your plan if someone claimed? Believe him?

It was good to see for the most part a reasonably balanced post count.  Considering this game did not include some of the more prolific posters that usually play I think it was a good turn out.  Mish had internet problems late so that explains her lack of posts and I think Vam tripled his usual number

 

There were a ton of questionable posts imo that were not attacked and that surprised me a bit. 

 

What do you guys think of Rule 15?

I think that rule #15 is a bit too easy, but a good step forward. Dunno how you should measure post quality.

 

Which posts do you think should have called out, Peace?

 

I did see a few here and there that I didn't speak up for, but I thought it just wouldn't serve our interests.

I do believe that GF played it right with not claiming btw, he just went inactive for too long.

 

Also, I was surprised no one seemed to have stopped to consider the implications rule #2/#3/#4.

Concerning Cop - @LYLO it was the only good option when it was obvious that everyone was pretty much baffled and had no clue as to who mafia was. I agree that those other things come first, but because the vast majority of D1/D2 felt like non-info posts from post the people, I felt the cop strategy in this case to be important.

Sorry BG.  It was between you and Csarmi.  Just tried to draw action and see how it developed.  Just didn't see another path to victory.  Too many quick votes throughout the game.  Scum team played well.  Congrats all.
