Lol this is actually beginning to confuse me... I know better than to trust the "mafia would never be this way" line of thought but seriously? We don't have enough inexperienced players in the entire game to constitute a mafia that would let that sort of play slide without being nipped.

I received two PM's.  One with the "I am Lee" stuff and a follow up explaining my alignment.  Was this not the same method for everyone else?

Posted

And??? I fail to see the relevance of differing PMs when the game began. You think everyone was supposed to get the exact same PM??

Your out on the same limb that I was on claiming there had to be a "real" Lee - Making an assumption,

You're really reaching Peace.

FTR I got two posts in one PM. Some blurb I skimmed and then role information.

Then me and TGlems chatted a bit.

But whether that's the same or different between players seem irrelevant at best and an extremely cheap oversight to exploit were there anything to even determine about this information, which I doubt.

It adds up to the other things he's been saying.  It's not the only reason.  He doesn't seem to get that the town players all got the "You are Lee" pm.  It's evident that he's been trying to piece it together to make it look like he got it.

Nolder...why are you defending him so much?

I don't doubt there is a real Lee.  I don't see your point here.  You obviously didn't receive the same PM that I got.

Prove it. Prove every Town got the same "You are Lee" post. I gave you the first line of my PM. You want me to keep going?

As a mod I often give people very different PM's even when they have the same role.

I'll switch terms such as mafia, scum, enemy, threats, etc and town, townie, and vanilla, roleless, etc.

It's to prevent game breaking maneuvers such as discussing role PM's, which again is a cheap move in the first place.

Why play if you're going to more or less cheat?

So yeah none of this is a good indicator of scuminess.

Wait, I can get nuked for revealing the PM? Didn't know that...

Yeah.

You can't ever quote things from a role PM. Most mods will let you paraphrase and of course lie though.

And you can usually get away with discussing key points such as we are all Lee or even a sentence or two depending on flavor and relevancy and all that.

But you should always be careful and if in doubt check with the mod.

If you cross a line it almost always results in modkill.

Well, you are an experienced mod.  Is this not Tglems first.  Plus the way I had some interaction with Tglems suggests to me that many of us got the same initial post and was followed up with our alignment.  The wiki link was in that initial post.

Tsuki's did not follow that format.

How was yours Nolder?

1. I understand that and I've already called him out on his theories more than once.

2. I'm not defending him so much as I'm trying to get you back on what I think is the right track. You're pushing on him with really weak reasoning to boot and I can't let that go unchallenged. As you know being clear, or semi clear, does not make you always right.

I don't understand the question. I already told you what my PM was like.

In which post was the wiki link?  the first or second?

I didn't get a link to the mafiascum wiki, just a link to the game thread.

You know what...I just checked.  So did I.  I just assumed it was a wiki link when Tsuki posted it.  hmmm.
