The idea is you are setting up a vote in the future. If you think it's a good case now why don't you vote now?

I haven't voted yet because I wanted to hear what TG had to say in reply to Kay's case. I agreed on pretty much all her points except when she said at the end that Vanilla is not a role. I believe that Vanilla is a role without any extraordinary abilities, but it still remains a role a player gets in a game.

 

 

It would be kinda sad for mafia to forget who the town PRs are. Especially given there's only been one claim (IIRC).

 

Ps I think it needs emphasizing that it really sucks that we lost Peeta.

You are saying that there has only been one claim, so I take it you don't believe the Vanilla claims? I remember you also soft-claimed a PR, and it looks to me like you are trying to hide the fact.

 

 

When we have a theme, you don't think we should bear it in mind?

 

Why do you think there are no character claims?

You shouldn't base the existence or importance of a PR on the character from the story. In the first Mafia game I played, Percy Jackson at the Wolfkin, Cyan and Chuckles (who modded the game) chose to give all the main characters vanilla roles, and the side characters PR's. It really messed things up, lol.

Seeing as I voted her yesterday, I'm alright with vote hallia.

I find it really hard to believe that your views haven't changed since the start of Day 1, and now you are voting Hallia again right after Tina posted her thoughts and also voted for her. Your play is very opportunistic.

 

 

Sure, it's good to talk. It appears there's an hour to the deadline, unless that has been postponed by the mod. I seem to recall reading in the rules that 2 people die randomly at a failed lynch by deadline, so we should get going.

 

As to cases, well, not sure yet, though I'm gonna make notes as I read now.

You don't really seem anxious of the deadline being so close as you first thought it would be.

 

So I did warn that I'd be out of town the first two weekends which is why I've been a bit spotty this game and the other one I'm in. My activity will pick up when I get back home at the beginning of next week. That aside, I'll respond to Kaylee's epicly bad case on me in which she claims I thought Darthe was scum, then town, and just weird misrepresentations like that.

 

In short, I've had a town read on Darthe since the beginning. However, some people (like Dap) have taken their town reads to extremes and said they think CS and Darthe are vetted. I disagree. There is a difference between a town read, a scum read, and calling someone vetted. While I have a town read on Darthe, I'm not going to consider Darthe and CS vetted because it could be a mafia ploy.

I see vetted more as a really really strong town read. In reality someone can only be vetted with a coroner report, and yet people decide use the term quite frequently.

 

 

But if you feel others are scum more strongly, it seems funny that you just picked me, but stranger than that is Graendal's vote. That's really your only reason? Seem sheepish to me.

Tina said that you are as good as anyone else on her list, and by voting for you she automatically shows that she finds you the scummiest, you not seeing this is pinging me. I agree with you that GF's vote on you is sheepish though.

My early read on Dap was scumhunting, but after he didn't seem to understand why Basel would point out Darthe WIFOMing mafia I don't think he is thinking with a town oriented mind.

I still see no reason to mention the WIFOM. If Darthe did it for that reason, then bringing that out in the open basically defeats the purpose of it.

Saying yu are vanilla so the mafia won't target you is good start and a way to hide something. Someone mentioning this means the mafia will now consider targeting you, which destroys the purpose of the claim. Understand why it was stupid for them to bring up now?

More to the point I never think like town unless I'm mafia. You have to analyse everything as if it was a mafia ploy. What would the mafia be doing this for?

That way you can try figure out the motives and team.

Csarmi also tried to make it look like I was in complete support if Csamri and also failed to notice that I called him "insane" a page ago.

(It wasn't till his claim that I trusted him, now I completely support him but back then I wasn't fussed either way really)

I don't think claiming vanilla right off is the best move. Like Peace said, it means scum have knowledge of how to narrow down their targets. But I don't think it means he is scum. I think there's also the possibility that Darthe really does have a power for town, and he is trying to divert NKs away from him.

Hey Darthe, let's all claim then right off the bat!  Oh wait, no, that would violate rule 6.  

 

Seriously though, (assuming you are town) I like this play as it is going to give scum more to second guess at night.

Because somehow it has recently become a trend here to not lynch people who act "too scummy."    For instance, Peace in JohnSnows aborted game asked for all town power roles to claim, asked the cop repeatedly for all investigative info the cop had gotten, asked who was protecting the cop after a failed NK of the cop, etc etc.  And yet nobody wanted to lynch peace because "oh, scum wouldn't act so incredibly scummy!"  Bah.

Funny coincidence, that. I would be agreeable to moving my vote to Hally if the train goes there, but my first choice is still RTE.

 

 

Tons of people posting spam, and you're going to call me out? It just seems silly.  I post when I can, and my thoughts. And alas, I always do post some fluff, but that's the norm for me.  I see both yours and Tina's point, peace, but yes, GF's explanation didn't really clear anything up at all.

 

The difference being is that you made a defense in saying you've been active all day.  Implying that you were active in real game participation..not spamming fluff.

Well, so I shall, seeing as I really haven't posted as much as I'd have liked.

 

I think the game is moving along nicely, sort of allignments are beginning to almost form, some sort of patterns, though they are hard to make out. As always there's so many posts to go through it's hard to keep track of things, but reading and rereading help as ever. I don't know that I want to say yet what I think further, since that might just confuse matters. I haven't yet noticed anyone I'm not aware I couldn't be totally wrong on just as well. Well, I'm getting more reading of the thread now.

 

Hallia I voted since her first post yesterday truck me as scummy, whether my scumdar is completely on or off. I haven't noticed anything to alter that assessment.

 

Lastly, first I haven't had the time, I'd have to find those suspicions first. I think everyone is suspicious of everyone to some degree, there's no need to contest each and everyone. They remain there for the rest of the game after all, and can form a pattern for later reading, arduous as that is when there's more pages.

 

Vam currently seems to be the biggest train, but if we are lynching inactives I would prefer to go after GF for posts like this ^ and for still sticking to the reads he had since the start of Day 1. I'm also starting to find Hallia scummy and I'm uneasy about RTE.

I'm not lynching inactive, I think that's a good way to lose.

 

I'm lynching someone I think is scum who I think is using his drive by scummy voting as a tactic to not have to engage in a back and forth where he'd trip himself up.

 

I wouldn't vote him for just being inactive. it's what he does and how he does it when he is active that's getting my vote.

 

and I can feel him lurking. he's quiet but he's not gone.
