...and as I finish today I find myself full of emotion.  I cannot express how beautiful and a part of my life this series has been.

I feel like I lost a Father when Robert Jordan passed...but found a brother with Brandon Sanderson.

The ending was perhaps all I could have hoped for...the very ending words most fitting;

"He came like the wind, and like the wind touched everything, and like the wind was gone."

Back to welcoming you... Welcome to DM!

You are an old reader :blink: . Good thing you found DM at last. He you see around here you will find discussions for discussions, social groups(based on the books) for hanging out, making friends and go through a rank system and roleplaying groups for roleplaying

Welcome, Crowbane!  I started reading after you did. I think it was 1992 when I started.  Another engineering student at Auburn turned me on to the series.

We're glad you joined us here at DM!  Check out the WoT discussion boards. As you've finished AMoL, you won't need to avoid the spoiler board.  :smile:  Also, be sure to check out the social groups because we have some awesome ones.  I'm partial to the White Tower but all of them have something unique to offer.  And if you are into roleplaying, there's a place for that, too!

Welcome to the site! When you have some time you should check out the discussion forums and Social Groups. Each of the Social groups has something different to offer such as the Black Tower's tainted brownies & spam or the Band of the Red Hand's taverns & discussions on music/arts. The social groups can be a little silly at times but are almost always a lot of fun and a great way for you to get to know and interact with a number of other DM members. If you enjoy Role Play you can also check out the RP forums, also broken down into groups, which can allow you to enter the WoT world and live out the story yourself.

Welcome to DM!  Glad you finally found us!  :wink:   I honestly have no clue when I started reading WoT.  LOL  It was in the late 90s or early 2000s...I'll have to try and figure that out.  LOL

Like everyone has said, plenty to do around here.  Serious discussions, serious fun times, RPing, social groups, etc.  Just jump on in!
