Darthe, after a short reread I have a question I think we deserve an answer to.

Going to toss this out here: The doc should reveal.  With the cop dead they can be a confirmed townie and protect themselves for the rest of the game.

 

Were you hoping that someone would claim in order to find scum, considering that you are the doc yourself?

Doc, stay quiet. For all we know, scum may have a roleblocker, it's not uncommon, even in a Basic game.

I hardly think that was rolefishing, I asked him directly. My reason being is that at this point in the game we need a confirmed townie. I asked him directly because I don't want to waste this day casing him when we haven't landed any mafia yet. We're down to 8 players and in my train of thought there is likely 2 or 3 mafia. If we lynch a townie today and then another NK, that would make it 3/3. Game over, correct? Given that there are 3 scummers, of course, but we don't have any confirmation either way when it comes to that.

So you're voting me over a difference of opinion? Yes, AJ is probably correct in that if we lynch a Townie and scum gets a successful NK, it's probably game over. But you're also discounting the fact that while we've hit nothing but Townies till now, we've also seriously hampered scum's ability to hide anymore. There's simply too few of us left for them to be able to blend in any longer.

 

Now maybe you feel that you need a confirmed Townie to mark off of your list, fine, that's your opinion. But that tells me that you don't feel confident enough in your abilities to scumhunt. My opinion is that I am. Difference of opinion. Do what you like with your vote. As for me, I don't intend to screw up in a LYLO situation.

The town is at a serious deficit at this point. Say what you'd like about scumhunting, but a confirmed townie is going to help narrow down the list even further. I agree slightly that there's too few for the mafia to effectively hide behind anymore, but there has also been a serious amount of inactivity this game from some players. I don't want something like what happened in the last game I played to repeat itself in which all the town players picked each other apart because the mafia was content to sit back and let things unfold on their own.

Opinion?  No.  This is an unquestionably simple logic problem that you yourself used in one of my first games.  At lylo power roles reveal to confirm townsmembers.  Any slot that is confirmed cannot be used against us.  If the scum team doesn't lose a member today then we have a 1/7 chance of surviving the night.  The doctors reveal doesn't change any of that because the doctor can still protect anyone.  

 

The question of my abilities is a push on your side to get me to make a logical error.  You've practically outted yourself just now, all this requires is a bit of consideration from the rest of the town.

I'm still trying to learn as I go. I have been mulling over this game for a bit and came to the realization that we are probably dangerously close to losing. Again, and I doubt we'll get confirmation, we could still have another day if there are only two mafia and we didn't land scum today but D4 would most definitely put us at Lylo. Either way, it's time to dog the hatches and fish out some real scum.

 

Tress's comments on you Ishy have me thinking, and Darthe is perfectly right in his statement about power roles revealing as confirmed townies near the end to help narrow down the list. But considering that this day has just started, I want to hear from the remaining players and actually get some legitimate interaction before we start to vote.

I cases Ish days ago. My thoughts haven't changed. Vote shouldn't be a surprise as I have voted him every day.

I know that you have, and your comments about his meta were interesting to me as well although I have previously stated that I dislike that being used for cases. (Mostly because this is only my second game and meta isn't something I can confirm or deny about players)

 

Your way of voting is what sticks out to me.
