sorry for the noob question but I was never around for the new book releases. And since this is the last one...i suppose theres no spoilers anymore, except for those that take 3 months to read.

If you mean Dragonmount forums in general - the Social Groups will live on as long as I'm alive. :) And maybe longer.

I think he means this Pre-release forum..... Not the Forums in general. 

 

I would think it would either remain open for a while until people stop posting here. No matter that this is the last book release, there will always be new people to the series.

I've gone to theoryland and tried looking up stuff from early 2000 and stuff.  I can see that website staying around.

 

theres a bunch of other websites that havent been updated since like FoH or CoS.  

 

I would like to see what some of you predicted after EoTW...haha.

Luckers touched on this in his posts. Basically, we keep both boards for a couple of weeks, while people who're interested acquire their copies and browse through them, and then combine the two. Perhaps a bit earlier we'll start taking requests for threads in the full-spoiler board (it's currently locked, no new threads), just to make sure discussion remains in good order and no spoilers make it to thread titles. And, once enough time has passed, we'll open the spoiler board up for new threads from members (the way this board is now).

 

About the same time the paperback comes out, we pour the spoiler board into 'general discussion', and stop monitoring spoilers altogether.

How are the threads in the Spoiler forum structured? Are they character specific? Are they broken up by chapters? I don't want to venture in there out of fear of spoilers, but once I start reading the book it would be nice if there was a 'Chatpers 1-5' thread that I can go discuss things in.

You can read all the thread titles without encountering a single spoiler AT THIS TIME. It's broken down by chapters (prologue - ch3, prologue - chX, full book, etc. then others.. prophecy, quality discussion, typos, chapter titles...). The titles don't give anything away and you should be able to hop into the prologue - ch3 without spoiling anything past that. Not that I've ventured into ANY of those threads, but that's the spirit of the board. :)

There is. They're structured by chapters, where each would be 1-something or other. (so you don't have to keep stuff that happened early out of a discussion about a later chapter).

 

Absolutely no spoilers in thread titles, promise.
