The dwarves started to pack up their things from Lake-Town, and said good bye to the people there.  It was time for them to journey to the Lonely Mountain.  They gathered boats to go down stream and stopped just before they reached the mouth of the mountain.  Entering that way was suicide, as Thorin had said, the dragon always was ready for people coming there.  Balin pulled out the map that had been left on Thorin's dead body.  After Thorin had died, the dwarves had put him in charge.  Balin found the location of the secret door in the mountain, or where it should be at least.  He told the dwarves to stop there and get out all the supplies that they had gotten from Lake Town.  Balin surveyed the landscape.  It was all flat, except for the small cliff that they were standing on.  Suddenly, there was a noise under the cliff.  Balin jumped, then looked below.  A troll!  The troll gasped in surprise at being found, and then ran up the slope to capture Balin.  However, the dwarves were able to get there first.  Together, they were barely able to take down the troll.  They sighed, and then looked at the sun.  It was time that they started to get some sleep.

#$%&/(&%#W# I had written a huge post and managed to close the tab before I was done >.< Argh! Writing this in textedit so formatting might be a bit off, and it has annoying autocorrect that might mess a bit with things.

 

Ok, I'm 99% certain I'll die tonight, so I'm gonna get my thoughts out.

 

We've taken out five mafia, and we know by flavor in the scenes that Smaug is in the game. Well, this game without Smaug would have been a weird Hobbit game Anyhow. Smaug might be third party serial killer, might be mafia. I'm leaning toward SK; considering night 1 we had two deaths, and that is the scene where we get flavor about Smaug.

 

Also: I've counted the dwarfs. We have 10 claimed dwarfs; 8 readies, me, and Dice, which means we're missing three. We have four unclaimed players. That should be 3 dwarfes and 1 Smaug. I do NOT mean this as pushing to mass claim. Just stating fact. It might be that we have one non-dwarf townie, and that Smaug has a dwarf fake claim. I think there is little chance of that, but it is a chance we gotta have in the back of our minds.

Me, I am Fili, confirmed town mazoniser by Turin's death.

Dice has claimed Bombur and not been CC'ed, I believe him fully.

Roo, has claimed role "recruitable", no character. I've tried to recruit him on both N4 and N5, and didn't die. I did get roleblocked; but I think I would have died regardless of if I was blocked or not. So, town.

 

Kae, Dap and Cloud, I have nothing much to go on. Kae is the only one who's been here the whole game. Dap got replaced by Starry and then replaced in again. Cloud was first Amega, then Snow; neither posted much… I don't have much of a read on anyone, but I'll scribble down my thoughts nonetheless.

 

Kae is the one with the most WIFOM around her, due to Darthe. She's been fairly inactive and hasn't done much to help scum hunting. Darthe named her town along with Tress, Kae and Peace. I believe Darthe neighbourized townies to get town cred himself and get knowledge of town roles. Now, if Kae is Smaug and 3rd party, he could have neighbourized her in good faith. If Kae is Smaug and mafia, he might have neighbourized her to give her townie cred. Or Kae is townie and Darthe just wanted to create WIFOM around those three before he got lynched.

Dap/Starry/Dap… I never got much of a read about Starry. I generally find Starry scummy no matter which allegiance he has So it's hard to say with Dap really.

Amega/Snow/Cloud. Really the one with the least read. Amega had 3 posts, Snow 2, Cloud 2. That means a total of 7 post in a game with over 1100 posts… But here's the thing. Amega was active on D1. N1 was the only night we had 2 kills. After than, Amega/Snow/Cloud goes completely quiet more or less, and we have no more than 1 night kill each night. This while both Dap/Starry/Dap and Kae are more or less active. So I think it's most likely that this is our Smaug.

 

If I die tonight, there's 4 townies, 1 non-townie left. Even if you mislynch tomorrow, and loose a townie during the night, there will be one more day with 2 townies, 1 non-townie. We can do this guys.

*Breathes fire* Nah, im just kidding   I wish that I was Smaug, would be fun, but you are wrong. You haven't accounted for the fact that the SK could have targeted the same targets as the Mafia, or have remained low on purpose. I'm only halfway and haven't caught up with everything yet, but your quick summary helped a lot. I think that I can catch the remaining Mafia members and Smaug by the next Day.

Really? Then how come, Night 6, after you'd replaced in, came our second SK-sighting; LZM? A mafia dead at night is always a sure sign of an SK...  Especially when we have a dead townie the same night.

 

(i forgot to mention these things in my last post; I had to rewrite the whole thing like mentioned and see now that I forgot to mention it)

 

For your arguments:

For a serial killer to try to hit the exact same target as the mafia 4 out of six nights are highly improbable... For the SK to lay low is stupid; win condition for the SK is to survive, so the SK want as many people to die as possible.

 

And what makes you think there are more mafia, hm? I've already explained how there is only Smaug left. We have 10 dwarfs accounted for them, 2 still alive (me and Dice). We have 4 unclaimed players, and 3 dwarfs unaccounted. You suggesting that Rand put in only 12 of the 13 dwarfes and that there is still one mafia left, is just trying to create confusion; a very anti-town behaviour, especially at this point in the game. Also, you attempt at soft claiming is so see-through that a sheet of glass would be envious...

Im very inclined to agrre with mish. It makes perfect sense. Why wouldnt all the dwarfs be invluded

it may be time for us to reveal. All that would be left would be two of the same clsims and we are left with just 2 people to look at. Or they will have a fake claim like the raven and it will be obvioud

Dap, just remember it states clearly in the rules that no mass reveals are allowed, and you can all end up modkilled and then the SK wins anyway... A bit suspicious statement there.

I thought the rules state no early masd reveals. Its pretty late in tge game imo. Plus 3 people isnt too intense.

It says no mass reveals at all. Three players is half the existing players, so I guess that would count as a mass reveal. But by all means, if you want to reveal now, feel free, but don't force others to. We don't want to risk any modkills now. I am aware that it'll probably come down to everyone revealing; but don't encourage it like this.

OK, due to there being so few people left, I am going to enforce a rule, just to make the mass reveal rule more effective.

 

Rule: There shall only be one reveal per day/night phase from now on.

Ok, really sorry for the inactivity, been so busy with friends and stuff I haven't had time to be online over the weekend hardly at all. But I'm here and caught up, and will throw my 0.02 in when it's day. Happy New Year's Eve all!!!!

OK sorry guys, I didn't expect anyone to claim during night, but since I didn't clarify, Dap's not at fault at all.  I'm going to have to make a change to the rule so that it is a night/day phase now, to keep the game fair without mass claims ruining anything.  Sorry! Basically, no one can claim tomorrow, and claiming is a mod killable offense.
