But seriously, I don't think any serious hardcore scumhunting is really necessary here. He defended someone heavily day 1, which is ping worthy by itself, but then the person he defended turned out to be mafia. And his activity has dropped down a lot since GF started catching serious heat.

 

Methinks thou dost protest too much? I happened to ask for a reason on a vote that came outta nowhere, with no reasoning behind it, from a player that had just come into the game. After Darthe explained it, and someone else agreed, I thought it made sense and voted likewise. Seems like your case is a little thin, I mean, it's not like I told everyone I would vote one way and then voted another. That would be pretty scummy behavior.

 

 

*Sigh* Now I am stuck with a damned dilemma. I said I would vote GF in 3 hours. Those hours have passed. I am a man of my word yet I absolutely hate this train. It is weak and doesn't hold water IMO. And Darthe was wrong to go back on his word, but in this case the move stands out so clearly that it seems less scummy and more that Darthe just changed his mind. He was wrong to do so, yes, and he's far from cleared in my book, but your attempt to redirect attention off yourself on to him doesn't seem like it will work, or that it should imo.

 

You've def got the mind for mafia, so def keep signing up for games, but fyi in the future you don't really ever want to come out heavily in someone else's defense day 1 unless you have good reason. Questioning why someone put their vote on someone else counts as defense btw.

Basically, if we are at MyLo (mislynch or lose) and we don't want to risk it, we can no lynch and not lynch anyone. It works the same as voting someone, you have to get majority. You can do it at other times, but that is the most common.

Just to fix a possible issue that can break the game, here is the town win condition/pm.

On the skimming thing, dunno, seems to me sometimes it's necessary to skim in order to get a general grasp on things or to focus on the dynamics that have caught you eye, find it hard to focus on all the exchanges sometimes. Then again a more careful approach is good as long as you don't mire yourself in stuff and forget the rest. I guess it comes down to quality of notes. I suppose it could be skummish, years ago I read that active lurking unlike passive lurking is a scumtell, though the same manuscript noted that fashions come and go. Anyway, I surmise it is easier for mafia to put a spin on things if one doesn't (or can claim one doesn't) know what exactly has happened. But still the dynamics are more important, says I.
