As for Verb, I haven't played with him to have a good feel for him. He's been very.... evasive, though, and that doesn't sit well with me.

BG, despite being in the spotlight for most of the game, has only generally remained quiet except to snip at others. This is his first time being put on the spot and that is due to my ability. His reaction, a-typical. Reveal and claim first, then prod at me.

 

Part of my casing and original scum read on BG was due to meta. He is more forward a player and his goal as town is, first and foremost, to be proactively helpful to town. He doesn't often make waves but he does go forth and push leads where he finds scummy players. We haven't seen that here. So, my reaction was to prod at him. Other players, such as Despo and Red, noticed this early on and did something similar. We received little to no response as can be seen in the D1 posts which I compiled earlier. This is, again, a-typical and a common mafia strategy. It keeps him from giving the town too much ammo to use against him. However, once we got into D2 things became more interesting.

 

The first quoted post below, you can see that his biggest FoS'r, Red, is being defended by him.

 

My cases are pretty obvious in my opinion. If any of those 5 should be town, then I hope we lose.

I'm willing to believe you, since I saw the mod-confirmation on you, but you must have gotten some mod confirmations on others as well the rest of us didn't. The rest of us don't know it's mod-confirmed and just have to take your word for it without reason.

 

Red, someone who has been pushing NS all day and BG was another of her main leads, dies and returns instantly. In a sudden switch of BG's attitude he posts this then votes NS without reasoning. Starting the train. As if there is a scum team on earth foolish enough to directly kill like that.

Hey Nightstrike, I can see your kinda bummed out by all this. Your reactions aren't helping your case. The emo nuttiness thing isn't what gets to me. Or even Red's casing, which I kinda agreed with you seemed trumped up. The fact you aren't going out on a limb and voting someone or casing someone to help town or something other than sulk about how everyone is voting for you convinces me that you don't really have any good reasons to accuse anyone of being scummy cause you don't want to incriminate anyone. If you are town like you proclaim to be, do something to help town. Actually, you haven't really proclaimed to be town, but you have sarcastically joked about being mafia a few times now.

Okay, well, here's what I've been stewing about in my head.

 

Town:

Nolder: Mod-Confirmed

EP: Nolder-Confirmed

JS: Nolder-Confirmed

Basel: As good as confirmed in my book.

 

While I'm not sure what happened to cause the confirmations to Nolder, I'll roll with it. I know people see the Leelou replacement thing as a null tell, I think it shows Basel is town and I haven't seen anything else to convince me otherwise right now.

 

As for those I'm watching most right now are Strike, Peace, and to a lesser extent Red 2.0. Now I don't think they are all teamed up because that seems contradictory. I do agree that no matter what Nightstrike will provide the most info. If Nightstrike is scum, then my ping level on Peace goes down a few notches. I felt like Peace was mischaracterizing Nightstrike before and then that got carried away... Red 1.0 got in on the action and Nightstrike effectively talked himself into a corner then self imploded. He seemed townie to me up until he went all weird.

 

The way Nightstrike got all weird today makes me wonder if I was wrong about a few things. Maybe Peace's pressure was good and outted Night's scumminess. Seems likely. In which case, good job Peace, sorry for doubting you. I still think you badgered him a bit yesterday, but whatever works.

 

Then again, maybe Nightstrike flips town. In which case, Peace has been awfully quiet about him compared to yesterday other than to vote him. Which is odd when he was one of the root causes of many thinking he was looking scummy. He seems like he is just riding out the lynch. Either way, I think it will paint a better picture when he is lynched.

 

Red 2.0's mighty change of heart here has given me a bit of a pause too. I'm not sure if it is from sincerity about having herself killed, or if it is a WIFOMY distancing trick. Either way it seems odd to me, but I can't quite figure it out.

 

I'm overly weary of some newer folks because of the Leelou situation as well. That puts Cyan, Mish, and Wot13 (and Dice because he replaced Lolguy) on my list as well since they are the newest people I know of. But I've played with all them before and I'd think they'd know that still.

 

Everyone else seems like talking heads so far nothing really has stuck out to me too much one way or another.

I have come to change my mind about the current situation.

 

Darthe never really came forth with his full case on BG, and has merely insisted that he is scum again and again. And, even after BG claimed Enabler, Darthe really had no comment on this and just continued to say BG was mafia. Meanwhile, the case BG presented on Darthe wasn't exactly locktight, but he even admitted the parts of it that were only minor points, and even disagreed with EP's idea that Darthe's agreement with EP about his post was a scum tell (I didn't think it was a scum slip either). This tells me BG is trying to case Darthe, but is still trying to look at the siuation rationally, which buys him some townie cred in my book.

 

Darthe on the other hand, pretty much started pouting when people started bandwagoning on to him once he issued the challenge, and what someone else said about his bold confrontational playstyle poss making sense due to him being a mafia aligned Gladiator made some sense as well. Plus, before the challenge was issued, Darthe had been pinging me before.

 

Something else to consider is that this may very well be some townie on townie violence going on, but between the two BG's role does seem more valuable to the town, even if Darthe does still have another challenge left. So Darthe would prob be the safer pick there.

 

 

 

 

Then again, BG may be scum.
