What do you think of the site Red?

I haven't played with people in that community in kind of a long time but back when I was playing they were...basically all assholes to be perfectly honest

The website itself is really good though which is why I want to play private games with just DM people

Yeah a lot of them are assholes and some of them are worse at playing then I am. Plus, mass claiming when you know the setup is so cheap.

i dont really care for their style of playing and the chat is harder to keep up with, but mostly becuase i'm not used to posting in chats any longer. i'm guessing the age range of this crowd is pre teen, by their attitudes and over all intellegence. and their mafia skills ... they'd get chewed up, spit out and have the bus backed over them in a proper game.

Noo I knew what you meant, I was just surprised is all. I'd have expected a more mature crowd just because the quick games seem harder to win so it'd require you to pay close attention. At least that's what I thought.

Yeah, their intelligence level mafia wise is not that high, I want them to play a DPR game just so they can have a proper respect for mafia. Plus, massclaiming when you know the entire setup is just stupid especially when you are mafia. I was a sniper, got the doc the first day, and they got me because of mass claiming. I was doing extremely well, would have rode all the way till the end, but they just mass claimed. Please, no revealing if we do it, or at least no mass claims because that's dumb.

I don't know which setup you played so I can't vouch for it's balance (or lack thereof) but there are open setups that are perfectly fine

 

Having said that I can make games we play with closed roles

However that's a newer feature that wasn't there the last time I really played on the site so it might take some fenagaling before I actually figure out how to get it to work

Setup was fine, but with mass claiming, everyone knows all the town and mafia players and then they can say their roles and mafia will be put.

No because they give the exact setup, what roles there are, how many, and so on. Impossible to fake claim pretty much.

No because people want you to claim like cop or something specific, and there are only one, maybe 2 if you are lucky of them, and you will get lynched.

Villager is a bad claim for mafia

It means you're a safe lynch

 

The thing is if it was a massclaim you should have been able to just blend in

Again I don't know what setup this was so it could have been unbalanced but trust me when I say that open setups are not inherently unbalanced

Whatever happened in your game was probably some good hunches on towns part mixed with some bad luck for you

Well, the setup was so that all the roles in the town were unique, so there was 1 person per role, and then they made everyone massclaim. I was the anomaly, I claimed, they randomly did one of us, ended up being me, I was lynched.

i was nilla, scum took out the doc N0. in this case it would make since to nl, give the finder an extra night to find without possibly lynching; cause we had 2 claimed finders. i backed the NL, they lynched me for it.

 

and also, since when does having an avitar have any bearing on ability to play the game *rolls eyes*

 

i also dont liek the fact that night goes by so quickly and if your in the middle of typing soemthing as scum and hit enter without realizing it will post on the game thread. not kocher man, especially sicne i look at the keyboard while typing

Yeah I agree with a lot of what you said

With that community you just kinda learn to deal with the quirks or you die a lot
