@Key:

1.

2. Btw, I don't think timing of posts really has anything to do with parroting

3. I'm not assured that you're my enemy, but I did want to point out the people that defended Nol, cause well stuff like that is important. I don't think the "case" on you ("case" because in this game the lines are blurred) is nearly as strong as the one on Ape.

4. Notice how that was the 4th definition of discount? learn2pun :P

I'm still waiting for you to do this "pointing out people that defended Nolder" so far you are stuck on me, alone. So I'm calling bullshit on this statement until I see you do something other than myopically focus on me.

I was the first to stick my neck out for Nolder, and I did it when he wasn't really getting much heat. The premise you have embraced that I'd blatantly telegraph that I'm his teammate that early, for little reason is absurd. (It is very rare that the first person to get prodded in a new game on D1 ends up being the lynch. Ultimately, all I made that statement about him for was to dress up the fact that I didn't want to vote him. Period. You and others are manufacturing a lot more meaning that what is really there.)

I put it out there that I didn't think Nolder was vote-worthy.

Crusher and Leelou quickly agreed with me.

Nolder finally dies, and flips Lannister. Crusher uses Nolder's death as a setup on me. Crusher seems quite certain that Lannister = scum. I'm thinking Nolder was Crusher's teammate, possibly Leelou's and the play being made here is to eliminate me opportunistically to reap some benefit from losing Nolder.

First part of your post: In the first post where I pointed out the people I noticed defending Nol, I brought up you, Crusher, Leelou, and Key. Out of that group you seem to be the most pro-Lannister, and the most anxious to see others lynched. And Crusher has since come to suspect you, but don't think he's off my radar yet. Don't have much of a read on Leelou yet, which greatly irritates me, but eventually I'll figure it out  Key just scares the bejeezus outta me.

Second part of your post: Seems like a big stretch. Smells of WIFOM dump to me

Crusher came at me BEFORE you did. He hasn't "since come to suspect me". You aren't even reading you pig.

I don't see anything I've done as pro-Lannister. That is the spin you are putting on it. We still do not know as of this moment whether or not Nolder was telling the truth about being able to talk to his faction or not. That's not pro-Lannister, it's pointing out the obvious. It also doesn't make me Lannister, nor does it make Lannister = scum.

Some factions might be able to speak with limited numbers, while others cannot with greater numbers and abilities. We have no idea how Wombat has reconciled balance in this game. For all the setup talk you've done, you haven't once said anything rooted in logic or reason. You accuse others of making stretch statements when your "I don't like to talk about setup posts" followed by 4 paragraphs of setup talk are a convolution of conjecture and ignorance of the few things we do know about this game so far.

I'm always an aggressive player. I'm not anxious to see anyone killed though. I use my vote and my charming personality to push for information... and stick my neck out pretty damn far, no matter my role or alignment, to get it.

The problem I'm having with your argument?

If Crusher was Nolder's teammate and Nolder was a Lannister, why did Crusher and Leelou both deny membership in the Lannister faction.

You have not done so.

To be honest, I never finished reading Kivam's ASOIF mafia.

The reason I say Dany would be Cult is because, who else is there? And, Dany fits with a cult idea.

We need to just lynch a cult member already so we can get some more info.

Posted

Personally, I can see the Targaryens or the Others being cult. But yeah, I agree, we need to lynch one to see what in the hell they are.

Do either of you have any ideas that you are willing to share as to who might be cult? It doesn't really help to say "oh we should lynch a cultist" cuz I'm sure that everyone of us here that is not cult would say the same thing. And I agree that it would provide a huge amount of information as to what we are dealing with.

Christine, oh stump-ish one, are you Shai? Or another character of a whore-ish persuasion?

Not even close, my dear.

I am surprised there is not more support for an Ape lynch.

OMG your trying too hard. She posted a bacon heart and I was acting like I would change my mind for the bacon. Notice I was licking my chops in anticipation. Similar to how i will be licking them when your put down and marinating while my Weber Grillmaster is warmed and ready to make you useful for once.

Clearly he's being defended. Im just as surprised.

Plus this talk of why the leap is made to Lannister being scum? Difference between scums is they can communicate off thread and town cannot. Now I know mason group, cult group but scum teams usually start bigger than those two type of teams. Nolder hinted to being aware of his team able to communicate off thread and flipped Lannister so it's a fair assumption. People are acting like we saw hoof prints and guessed unicorn. Well I guess here that's not far fetched but please accept my point.

This nonsense about MOST teams not being able to recruit is either crap or I'm suffering from being clueless about the source material. The only connection I have to SOIAF is the game of Doggins I play and adoration for the lovely Song who plays at JN. In Doggins game people could join factions and factions had bank to buy stuff.

So let's kill the ape and see if he flips Lannister. Then kill everyone who defended him. Easy. People are making this way more complicated then it needs to be.

I still like the Thorum lynch right now. Mindlessly bandwagoning on Day 1, maybe Day 2 is okay, to get a feel for the game. But when you do it after that, it just proves you don't care who you lynch, so most likely 3rd party or scum, or you just don't care about doing the work to catch scum or in this game help your faction. Though I have liked some of the cases on the Ape, so I could probably swing that way before deadline, but I like having him in the game because of what he brings out in other people.

*licking chops* Thorum lynch? seems palatable.

So Crusher says, Ape, Ape, Ape, Ape, Ape, Ape... Ape suggest Crusher and Leelou are talking off thread... Crusher says Thorum.

Thorum? I could care less to kill him or not. His lazy vote was lazy, nor sure scummy.

Monkey is the play today. Their is a new fur coat in it for you. Once you get the stench out of it monkey fur is pretty nice. I think you would look just lovely in it.

Nice setup.

I think we should kill you, since you also echoed my defense of Nolder - and so did Leelou. If you flip scum, then Leelou most surely will. See... I've got this theory about you and her doing a little chatting outside the game thread.

Wait wait wait if me and Leelou where scums then no way I would be so obvious to offer her your flea ridden hide as a gift? Wait someone already said that.. who? Oh yea YOU!!

You are really trying too hard. Come her let me scratch your ear. Works great for my puppy.

Why is Despothera saying Lannisters are "scum" when their list of enemies is the same as the Greyjoys except with Lannister/Greyjoy switched ?_?

Also I don't understand how Cult isn't a bad thing if everyone except maybe King in the Narrow Sea wants them dead.

Also also I don't understand the assumptions he's making (all factions can recruit?). I will agree that people making town/mafia arguments don't understand the game but you seem to be forgetting (ignoring?) that 2-3 factions are enemies with everyone else as far as we know.

I agree with this 100% and the fact that Crusher is on the same page and Leelou is cuddling up to Crusher makes me think they are all on the same team. I wouldn't b surprised if they are actually the Lannisters trying to lead everyone on a wild goose chase. I'm down with lynching any of the three today, so I'll put my vote on the one that has the most right now.

UNVOTE

Ape told me that people on the same team don;t play so obvious. I just know Leelou from JN and Dynamic D has mad swagger. Has nothing to do with affiliation. Everything to do with style.

About to get ready for work, and I know how you people get while I'm at work. By the time I get home D3 may be over.

I can usually check in briefly on my phone during lunch, but it's difficult to make posts of much substance that way, so in case I can't spend much time on it later...

I'm OK with a Thorum lynch if it comes down to it. I suspect he's a Greyjoy, based on his interactions with Soy D1 (when Tina called Soy out as hinting he was a Greyjoy), and his agreement with Amega's extremely weak case against Ape D2.

I'm OK with the Ape train as well, because of his reaction to the train on him yesterday. He was making a lot of weak arguments and accusations. His insistence that he would never have defended Nolder if he was a teammate doesn't mean much to me, to be honest. You can say whatever you like about what you would and would not have done, if it gets you out of a lynch. I still think he's a Lannister, until proven otherwise.

My vote's still on Vic right now because I actually agree with what Ape said about him -- he suggested Ape was cult, then when he switched his vote to Thorum he suggested *he* was cult... I think Ape's probably a Lannister, and I think Thorum's probably a Greyjoy... Vic is a better candidate for cult than either of them the way I see it.

There are others who still seem to be laying low, and I'm interested in pushing them a bit also. Most of them are probably unaligned survivors staying out of the fray. They're expendable in the war between the factions, but they're also a good place for cult to hide, so... yeah. No matter what Despo says about possible protection from being recruited, it worries me a bit. I agree with Christine here, they're just sitting back and growing their numbers while the factions pick one another off.

The Greyjoys and Lannisters are enemies of everyone except the Night's Watch and unaligned survivors (except perhaps factions that haven't been revealed at all yet), so I'm fine with killing one of them, and will switch my vote later if needed.

I agree with most of this post. My gut says Vic. I have seen him play many a game and whenever he plays the mock emo routine he has something to hide. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Vic is bored. Maybe the set up has him feeling the need for others to figure it out for him. Maybe he's really doesn't feel comfortable here. I like my vote here and encourage all others to do the same.

As we move closer to the deadline I could move to the Ape. Not because, some claimed he defended Nolder but mainly to determine his alignment and we can evaluate the people who pushed his train and the people who defended. He's a lightening rod who illuminates the actions of others.

On Thorum, I'm less inclined. Weak argument to vote the Ape but its the Ape. Not sure we get enough intel with his lynch.

True. Your from JN. WHO?

I feel more inclined to vote for Ape over Thorum. but at this point it looks like the only way to move this day along will be to

VOTE THORUM

However the three votes before me came in a very short order by DM standards (20 min from first to last). That worries me. It feels too coordinated.

Now Im in NZ so it might be like your 6pm when everyone gets home from work in the US or something but it still worries me. In a normal game they would look scummy, but in factions im not sure. I guess they will be an enemy team from whatever Thorum flips

Crusher came at me BEFORE you did. He hasn't "since come to suspect me". You aren't even reading you pig.

"Since come to suspect you" as in since he initially agreed with you and defended Nolder, you warthog-faced buffoon.

Blah blah blah it's just back and forth. You jump around different points trying to evade like Ali, but the fact is you defended Nolder. Who turned out to be a Lannister. And you question and contest the "scuminess" of Lannisters openly. Yet I'm spinning somehow

I don't think it's that awful to have setup talk in games, especially after a couple of days, and especially when a little setup talk is essential to showing what kind of path we should be taking for "town" victory (read: all Lannisters dead, to start off with )

As for the rest, all you're still trying to do is to dismiss my stance as that of some foolish backup who stumbled into the game and never understood what he was reading. Dismiss all you want, it's clear that I've done my homework. So get off your High Horse and go ahead and drop the act.

And btw, one thing I recently reread upon, and yes after checking through certain parts it seems Vic is much more likely to be Cult than you or most other people in the limelight (don't really see the cult connection that someone else made personally). But as I said before, with a night which more than likely faces another round of multiple kills, the cult doesn't worry me as much as it would in a regular game. For now I'm completely happy taking as many Lannisters to the grave with me as possible :baalzamon:

I'm always an aggressive player. I'm not anxious to see anyone killed though. I use my vote and my charming personality to push for information... and stick my neck out pretty damn far, no matter my role or alignment, to get it.

So you "use" your vote by flip-flopping in OMGUS fashion, and use your... "charming"... personality to... "push" for information.

Good Lord, no wonder you're terrible at this game!

That right there in bold, that's how I know you are talking to a JN player in a QT.
